  I haven't used flex for a while and I'm a little slow today.  My question is simple: how to get and set my HSlider values in a class.  My HSlider lives in an mxml file and class lives in a separate actionscript file.  First of all, I want to get the value of the hslider.  I use property change in the hslider to call a method in my class called Update(. ) In my class, I have the function called Update() and Interior using the id of the cursor to get the value of it.  The compiler is complainiing of 1120: access of undefined property hslider. I gave an example of pseudocode below:

  I am student upward throughout the atcionscript and happened to get and set methods.

  I can't see how they are used, but you can also make custom methods get and set as follows:

  So my question is which is the best method to use - is there a difference at all.

  ALSO - they seemed very redundant for me at the time that they simply receive a variable, you can get much faster by going directly to a variable.

  In addition, some schools of coding very strictly apply accessors. This does not mean that this app is really convenient, but it has little reasonable basis.

  Theoretically, it is very safe to just anyone allow direct access to the property. Once again, in theory, we can do much harm to a bare ownership. Of course, most of us do not write shields of industrial strength that an application requires, but in environments where the code is released - it is important to protect the integrity of the code, its encapsulation and impose an extra layer of armor.

  Note that not a single property in full classes AS3 has direct access - all properties are getters/setters or one of them.

  This brings me to another advantage.

  Say, you want the variable value to be read, but not set. If you do the public variable - outside the object can BOTH set and get its value and there NO WAY to stop the value parameter. But, if you provide ONLY getter - nothing can set the value. It becomes read-ONLY.

I'm looking to get the dynamic Type via a script object and set it as a variable in the script output, but its does not work. I created the dynamic type using the type dynamic plug-in generator v2.

• Setting of time zones for those imported for integration AD

  We are setting up integration of ads for VSM9 to import customers and agents.  We hit a roadblock with the time zones.  People are imported based on their membership in a group AD.  Members within each group can be of several regions with different time zones.  Therefore, it is not practical set the timezone in the model of the person.  Within resource maps, there is a timezone field, but I don't see any reference to the time zone in the AD resource that could be associated with the time zone field.  He also doesn't seem to be an option to create a resolution rule as you would for an organization or a location.  We have rules of resolution in place for the Organization and the location, the time zone which is getting applied to the person is not based on the Organization, but instead, it is to be set to 'undefined', which is the option selected in the model of the person.

  The idea has already crossed your mind that I could create a recurring SQL task that runs a query to update with terms such as "If the time zone is set to undefined, then set the time zone to match the organization."  However, I prefer not to do this way and use the system as it was designed, and using the SQL task would mean that those imported would have a time zone is not defined until the SQL job runs.  Someone at - it suggestions on how I can get around this by using standard parameters within the system?

  Few things currently comes in my mind:

  * If it is possible to store the zone information in AD (to use any unused property or extend the schema with a custom). You can then map this property in your integration with field tz people rule. The worst thing - you need to manage updates (for example, script) of your users AD setting the values of the source (maybe the one you use for synchronization of organization vsm) tz.

  * You can create the SQL update for the AR_CLIENT_COMPANY table trigger to replicate the TIME_ZONE_REF value for all users in the current organization.

  I always have the feeling that it is possible to manage that with vsm rules of integration, but we should go deeper into your infrastructure, for example maybe you can update vsm people of the source you use for organizations.

  There is no property on the annotation of point that sets the position of the label. I created a task to look by adding this.

  However, you can monitor the changes using a custom BoundsAlignment application that registers the new offset as it is updated:

  vendor_id_qry is the query that retrieves the list of provider IDS. You don't need to put the vendor column id as whereClauseParam unless you want to have IN the clause in your query of VO and pass the list as 1,2,3 values to the parameter.
