gigE camera - attribute out of range 0xBFF69012

Lightworker,

Have you tried the version August 2010? There was a combination of elements (updates of the firmware of the Basler) and the third-party component GenICam which could cause incompatibilities that have been addressed in this release. One of the questions likely to be affected of the Scout and pilot series with firmware version 3, 2 - x and 3, 3 x, the newer versions of the firmware form Basler should solve this problem as well, but later IMAQdx also work around the problem.

Grab the release of August 2010 here:

  • Prosilica GigE GC650C error 0xBFF69012 attribute value is out of range

    Hi all

I had been using a GigE Prosilica GC650 of camera on a target real time with no problems. Today I tried to connect the camera to the MAX and I get the above error. I have read every thread I could find about this error and have tried the following with no luck...

-Deletion of files xml, iid and CIM with the camera disconnected and non-powered

-Update the firmware of the device to 1.36

    -Repair OR-IMAQ 4.3 installation

    -OR-IMAQdx 3.4 repair facility

The Prosilica camera viewer works very well. Another oddity, it's the same device works fine in the same version of MAX on another computer with hardware counterpart. This computer has versions of the same software (Labview 2009, IMAQ, etc.) to the problem machine.

I have not installed software or updated between the time when the camera was working and now (about 1 week).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

The only thing I can think of is to check the link speed. I think that some of the attributes on the Prosilicas go out of range, when they are connected to 100Mbit instead of 1 Gbit. Check that the interface of the camera card and the network show a gigabit link. Maybe you have a bad cable which is originally the link down to speed.

If this does not help, let me know and I can try suggesting other things we can try.

  • String index out of range-2

I tried to solve this problem for some time and may not know what the problem is, I have a form of three pages (each page shows in the next and past the form values in hidden fields) who when he submits to the action page comes up with error message string index out of range-2 , I checked, checked, double and triple checked my code for spelling mistakes or lack of form fields, but everything seems fine. I enclose the code page of the action page and the submission page, anyone who might be able to shed light on this will be either highly praised!

I finally thought to it, despite overlapping each page several times for misspellings, I found that I had a field with a misspelled domain name. The way I found it was to remove the formfields cfinsert statement attribute, which then came and told me that "n/a" not found in the table, so by deleting this rogue 'i', I found the problem!

  • Monitors flicker and "Input Signal Out of Range"

    Hello!

I have a Mac Mini (end 2012) 2.3 GHz Intel core i7 running up-to-date El Capitan, with two HP monitors 2071d.

These monitors have DVI connections. It is connected with Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter, and the other with HDMI to DVI adapter (provided with the Mac Mini).

Everything has been fine for a year until this week. Two monitors are:

    (1) intermitantly began flickering of the scrambled images

    (2) flickering intermittently at black or white noise

    (3) intermittently flickering white noise

    (4) the message of the form 'input out of range Signal. 1600 x 900 at 60 Hz settings."

How is this problem go and come, but rather continues today.

After research, I tried to start safe mode, but the problem persists.

I read that put the computer to sleep and then wake up could solve this problem... it worked a

couple of times, but the issue soon returned.

I tried to reset several times VRAM/LANDAU and SMC.

I doubled checked all the connections.

Under the system of preferences > display (when the image is stable long enough for me to see) everything looks OK. Under the screen of the 'Default display' tab is selected. On the color tab, there are three HP2071d listed (with a selected) in the window display profiles. I've linked by selecting one of the other "HP2071d" listed without noticeable change.

I also reset both monitors to factory settings via the menu screen of the monitors.

I also came across this mini Mac EFI Firmware Update 1.7 for flickering on end of 2012 Mac Minis, but when I tried to run I got "this software don't is not supported on your system. Ugh. It turns out that my Mac Mini is already updated to MM61.0106.B0A (2015-002)

Both monitors isn't good. Which would lead us to think that the Intel HD 4000 is overheating and the problem is not with any of the adapters or cables. Although, if one of the cards was not internally, it could put additional heat stress on the graphics chip.

Personally, I will try a few things.

    1. turn off, unplug everything, open the bottom cover and give it a good cleaning to make sure it cools properly.

    https://www.iFixit.com/device/Mac_Mini_Late_2012

    2. try each monitor individually for awhile configurations see if the problem follows the monitor cable adapter installation.

(I know he'll be a brake after obtaining used monitors to double)

    3. try using > MacFanControl to monitor and help control the temperature of the GPU ITPP.

FWIW, I do not use screensavers, but I do a lot of videos as well as some games of light on both my 2010 and 2012 of the Mini and I really believe that MacFanControl has really helped to extend the life of graphics on these two systems.

  • HP 2509 b monitor guard displaying "Input Signal Out of Range" and then go to sleep.

I went on vacation and shutdown my computer for 2 weeks.  My monitor worked great for a month before.  I came home last night and turned on my system this morning.  Now I get a white message in the middle of the screen with "input out of range Signal. Change the settings for 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz"and then the screen goes to sleep.  I can turn the monitor off, wait a moment and then turn it back on again, but continues to repeat the same thing.  I checked and the screen is already set to 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz.  I use VGA and have the default positioned like this.  I followed the guide to troubleshooting online for this error, but it did not help.  Can someone tell me please how to fix this?

Finally, I got this figured out!  Here's what I did.

    Control Panel

    Display

    Parameters

    Advanced

    Intel(r) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver

    Graphics properties

    Display settings

    Expansion of the display

Chosen at this stage full screen (no border) instead of "maintain proportions"

As soon as I put this the error screen disappeared!  Can someone explain to me why this adjustment has been around?  I would like to know.

Thank you all for your help.

  • How to identify a GigE camera by IP address

I have a system with 8 Basler Ace GigE cameras, all on static IP addresses on the same subnet.  I would like to be able to exchange any device with a new one that is configured to the same IP and my LabView RT running on an Exchange virtual server program automatically starts using the new camera.  The LabVIEW program already sets the settings in the camera, if I don't want the user to have to use MAX for any configuration of the camera.  I want to just the user to use the Basler IP configuration tool and the tool of Basler to focus the camera, then having my program discover the camera by its IP address.

However, I have not found an IMAQdx tool that allows me to distinguish the cameras by its IP address.  The discovering Ethernet cameras VI has an address entry, but it is only a mask and cannot me narrowly find just a single camera on an IP address.  I have not found any camera property or an attribute that returns the IP address.

So, if I have a bunch of cameras and want to identify who is who, by his IP address, how can I do?

    Hi Ken,

The main identifier imaqdx uses to track/locate cameras is serial number, which is identical to its MAC address for GigE Vision cameras in IMAQdx. Unfortunately us don't really use IP address as any kind of ID to connect with a specific camera, because we assume that the IP address can be dynamic and flexible (makes it spec GigE Vision DHCP and link-local addressing a requirement standard and everything is designed to allow these cases to work well).

That said, there is an attribute called 'CameraInformation::IPAddress' that you can query to see the IP address of the camera. The only downside is we do not currently provide this information via the Enumerate mechanism - you first need to query this property of the device. Your application might first browse the cameras and do a mapping of serial to IP addresses?

    Hope this helps,

  • No Signal to monitor "Out of Range".

    Hey guys,.

I was playing Far Cry 2 on my PC (Windows XP), but it kept crashing. I know that when I restart my computer it uually solves this problem. I restarted the computer, but when it came to the login screen that the resolution is all out of whack, I think it was at the lowest resolution. I then connected, he went and changed the properties, by setting the resolution to the maximum, which is 1920 x 1080 on my ViewSonic VA2213wm monitor. After that I did the screen became black and says "Out of Range". I turned off my computer and then returned new. I could see all introductory screens, but once he got to the login screen it became black and repeated "Out of Range". I typed my password because my user is always entered in the box, and I heard the music of logon if of course I can't even log-in, nothing is displayed.

I tried to run in Safe Mode and last good known Configuration, but not more than anything. He always goes black when it gets to the login screen. I connected another monitor, ViewSonic (VA702) old, but who said too much "Out of Range" in the log on screen.

    Any help, please?

    Blade

Ah my problem has been resolved by our friendly IT man.

The computer must be started in VGA mode. Then the motherboard disk had to be installed again, that fixed the problem. It seems that another driver I downloaded cover some of the mtherobards data, making the monitor not recognized to the box. That's why when I changed the resolution it clogged.

All is well now, thanks for the quick reply

  • Connection to CVS GigE camera via a network switch

It is a fundamental and very simple question!

I intend to connect two GigE cameras to NI CVS-1458RT for an application of Imaging. When I tested the configuration in MAX, I realized that I can connect the cameras directly to the PoE ports, or alternatively, connect the cameras directly to the network switch and in both cases, connect the CVS to my network via its ethernet port. I was wondering if there is a benefit by connecting directly the VCA cameras, if I do not anticipate supply their Poe or if my switch has PoE Betacam.

    Thank you

Usually, you always want your cameras on dedicated lines, or at least only sharing bandwidth with other devices. The mechanism of transport used by GigE Vision isn't really sharing good bandwidth with other devices. If you only share the bandwidth on a link given with other devices, you can throttle each take only a percentage of the total bandwidth. If you have devices without camera on the link, they don't usually have a mechanism to control the gap inter-frame limitation insofar as GigE vision made which would be necessary for properly sharing the bandwidth without remove the packages of bandwidth.

If you end up sharing one of the ports for the operation and configuration of the CVS on the network, you will be at the risk of losing image data packets whenever the rest of the traffic is sent. Although there are mechanisms in place to return data, these add latency and jitter to your purchase.

  • The IVI Drivers: RangeCheck of initialization option set to true: failed to get an out-of-range error

    Hello

I'm new to IVI drivers (started using them last week) and I have a problem with the option of initializing RangeCheck.

So get used to the IVI drivers, I used the example provided with the AgilentE36xx IVI - COM driver (on my computer, it is located in C:\Program Files\IVI Foundation\IVI\Drivers\AgE36xx\Examples\VS.NET\Cpp\Example1).

I could do everything I wanted except get an error out-of-range, during the passage of an out-of-range value to a function. I put the RangeCheck init option to true, but I don't have any error in the simulation, nor with the connected equipment.

Attached is the code (from the example of Agilent) but modified so that it should throw an out-of-range error when adjusting the tension on the following line: spOutput1-> VoltageLevel = 1000; ... why no error.

Still, it runs correctly. Can someone tell me what I'm not doing correctly.

    Kind regards

    Roman

    Hello

I posted the question on the Forum of Agilent.

Here is the link to the post: http://www.home.agilent.com/owc_discussions/thread.jspa?threadID=33348&tstart=0

The problem is now resolved. Thank you for your help.

  • "out of range" error on I-110 fieldpoint

We try to connect the pressure Omegadyne transducers (PX1004L1) that give a reading of mV to 10 v excitation. Before you connect the 4 cables (excitation, signal and two Commons) I-110, we get an error 'out of range '. Disconnect the signal + / leads and measure with a multimeter, we read the mV expected signal. If reconnect us the signal + / conduit and disconnect the excitement + / leads and then connect to a power source (external to the I-110), we read the expected of the I-110 mV signal. Any suggestions on what is happening here? We have already exchanged the head I-110 with a spare part that we know is operational.

I have not heard of "Omegadyne", but I know Omega.  What is the device?  http://www.Omega.com/pressure/PDF/PX1004.PDF

You're talking about 2 Commons.  But what I see, it's a bridge 4 circuit son strain gage.  I think you should use a SG-140 module to read this device.

  • "Value is invalid or out of range" when you build the project in CVI 2009

I converted a project to the wire of the CVI 9.0.1 to CVI 2009, and whenever I try to compile the distribution I get immediately the error message "Value is invalid or out of range" and stop the construction.  This error message is not too terribly useful to determine what the problem is, and I don't see anything obviously wrong with the signs of 'change the Installer '.  Any idea what's going on?  Thank you.

Well, I'm a little confused by what I see. The newspaper confirms my suspicions earlier that one of the values of timer progress cached version is cause of an error. However, the values in the file "TriboScan OFFLINE.cds" you posted appear very well and do not cause an error when I copy in .cds another simple distribution (since I do not have the files to test your actual building distribution). Are you sure that you build the 'TriboScan OFFLINE.cds' distribution? In any case, I recommend a little offending the .cds hand editing. Save first (just in case), open it in a text editor and delete everything between and (that should be all down). This should solve your problem.

Let me know what you find.

-If the trigger is coming from the PLC, should I also send a trigger signal to the PC and keep the active trigger signal until the PC is the acquisition of the image?

    Hi riscoh,

When you work with a GigE camera you are not anything on the computer triggering its self, only the camera.  When it is configured to trigger it will sit and wait for a trigger.  When he received the signal it will take an acquisition and send the information to the computer.  When you set up your support on the computer it is searched for images and brings them into the computer as they become available.  The example I'm pointing you will show you how to set up the camera by a trigger program.  It looks like it may be available only in Visual C.  As far as the documents relate to article after the release with a GigE camera Developer area described briefly.  Acquisition of cameras GigE Vision with Vision Acquisition Software-part II
