  You can not install CS5.5 Windows on your Mac.

  You need to either buy a new copy of the CS6 for your Mac or join the creative Cloud (and pay monthly fees).

  If you join the cloud, you can then install CS6 (and soon the CC version) on your Mac and Windows for the same fee.

I have always received the warning from restarting the Machine, but ignored. Thank you much for the help. I made most every suggestion of registry cleaning, removal of registry files, uninstall all remains and removing all Adobe I could find. All I can say is that I learned a lot. Thanks again.

  Hi, I have a Creative Suites Premium.  I have the complete program from Adobe on the CD for Windows. My PC died and now I have a MAC and want to run the program here.  However, the CDs are for Windows.  Is it possible to get the MAC version to download and use my current serial number to use?   Serial numbers and WIndows licenses are only for Windows machines.  You cannot use a Windows license for a Mac version of the software.

  You identify the version so if it is something old, CS6, then, you're out of luck.  The only option you would have would be to install an emulator Windows on the Mac and try to use the software through which.

  If it happens to be CS6 then you could still have the possibility to request an exchange of platform.    You can exchange languages/platforms for a newer version product if you follow the instructions on the following link:
