Original title: need more time

My active pages are going and I get my screensaver, then I have to click back in my browser. I looked at my aid centres, nothing. I feel stupid like all out them, but can someone help me? God bless you.

If mean you your screen saver "comes" too early, right-click on an empty area of your desktop, choose Properties, the screensaver tab and check your adjustments there.

Click OK to save the settings and close the dialog box.

If this isn't what you mean, you need to provide more details.

  • Why not remove images from my office window and screen saver?

You have a thorny problem and a bit tricky here.

A few months ago, at my work, I got a new iMac (for me). As I was getting started upward, furnished and ready to use, at some point it must be synchronized with my iPad, which was nearby. So, when I open my desktop and screen saver system preferences, I see a multitude of images that I took with my iPad and I somehow was stored and transferred to my work machine. One of these pictures is, shall we say, I don't like for anyone to see except my other significant... and it is possible that I can receive an offer for a new job at some point in the near future. Needless to say, I don't want to leave this pic on my machine here for someone else to run into.

Problem is that I can't remove it. It won't let me select it; -button stays grayed out. The offensive peak is no longer on my iPad, but it remains obstinately to the view from my office window & screen saver system preferences. 1. Why can't select and remove? 2 in the world this image file actually location? I could trash it maybe, if I could find the actual file.

To sum up, I want this pic from this machine, but I can't remove it now as it is. What can I do?

Open the pictures folder in your user account and browse the library of Photos for the photo of the source and remove it.

  • Screen saver comes on is no longer

I'm starting this new, as the previous question is called resolved even if for some people including myself it was not resolved. With each new version from 8 (windows xp) my screen saver comes on. I tried to open firefox in safe mode to see if that would help and it did not. I just discovered today, however, that if I go private browsing than the screen saver turns on. If something has run this private browsing stops, but safe mode does not work. Any ideas out there?

It's very strange, but even if I changed nothing, after months of no screensaver, he's back! So I guess we'll call it resolved even thought nothing was actually resolved.

  • I can't find the pictures being shown in Windows 7 screen saver!

In the screen saver Windows 7, if I choose the "Photos" option, it shows a lot of pictures that I can't find on the computer, despite navigating to the folder, to what it seems.

The photos are a mixture of holiday snaps, images that I never saw before and other images of type system, for example standard SatNav screenshots.

How can I find where on the computer of these photos are taken from? I have walked my HDD, conducted the research of windows but also to check the option to show hidden files and folders with no luck.

    Hello ChrisMartinFX,

Have you checked to show hidden files?  I would like to suggst confirming this is defined first, but if you are unable to locate the photo I opened Windows Explorer and type in .jpg to see if you can find it.  I know that this may take time if you have hundreds of pictures.

If you go to the screen saver settings, you should be able to see in the settings tab where the pictures come from.

A graphics card freezing issues so I replaced the card and installed the drivers updated.  However, screensaver windows 7 won't launch itself.  It works very well in the Panel, including the example.  But when the time comes to launch due to inactivity of the system the screen goes black and the monitor goes to sleep.  Several times, the monitor hangs to this state of sleep and I have to restart the computer.

  • Windows 7 screen saver has suddenly stopped working

Recently, the screen saver on my laptop (Sony Vaio Z model VPCZ119GX with 6 GB of ram and a core i7 processor) has stopped working.  He has always worked in the past, but suddenly (as of mid-June 2010) stopped it.  None of the Windows 7 default screensavers work (for example to mystify, ribbons, etc.), nor fact Windows live Gallery screen saver.

I am running Windows 7 Professional x 64.  If I go to preview, I can see the screen saver, but it does not start after a period of inactivity.  I reduced the timeout to 1 minute and I tried both require a password and no password and neither work.  I do not use a wireless mouse (I have read other posts that a mouse without a wire could cause this problem) and I have fixed via the USB port.  I went in the Manager of peripheral and done so that devices that have power management options have been disabled.  I checked my task manager and I don't notice anything out of the norm running in background.

Here's the interesting part.  If I connect to the hidden administrator account screen saver works perfectly.  If I create a new user account screen saver still does not work.  Something prevents the screen saver works in the created user accounts, but works perfectly under the administrator account.  What could cause this problem?  How to solve this problem?

Another interesting information.  The same problem exists on a friends Lenovo T400s under Windows 7 Ultimate.  His screen saver has worked a few days ago (week of June 21) but suddenly stopped as well.  A windows update may have caused this problem?

Finally, I have not tested this, but it seems that hibernate/sleep has also stopped working.  Unfortunately, I sleep/hibernation activate after 4 or 5 hours and I can't say for sure 100% that I let the computer idle for this period of time, but I could have sworn that I have.

I think screensaver and put into hibernation / sleep are all affected by the activities of intelligence and something is causing the machine to think that this is not idle.  But under the Admin account, it works very well.  I spent hours trying to understand this point, but without success.  I have even restored to the point of thinking older restoration that something could happen, but it does not solve the problem either.

    Help, please!

    briboynyc and dougfulcher

I am so happy that I found this forum.  About 6 weeks ago, I lost my screen saver on our computer brand new with windows 7.  I was on the phone with HP in India twice and finally they decided to take back me to the factory restore thinking that it was because of our backup files in windows XP.  Repeat all. I backed up all my files, and then we started again from the beginning.  It's the same thing.  We packed up the computer and returned to the store, a new computer and started all over for the third time.  Last night is the same thing.  I was really frustrated and thought maybe it was a little problem with windows 7 so decided to get on the microsoft Web site to see if I could communicate with someone from Microsoft.  That's when I discovered this forum and started reading everything.  When I read the answer of dougfulcher, he mentioned magic jack running in the background.  We disconnected magic jack and that solved the problem immediately.  I am really grateful and only wish I had discovered it before that I lived all this computer return and restoration.  Everything seems to work very well.  I hope this helps someone else.
