• Firefox 13 hogs cpu all of a sudden

  Good, everyone.

  I'm having a terrible experience with the new firefox 13, and I was wondering if others are experiencing the same. FYI, I use Windows 7, i7 and 8 GB of ram.

  After the auto-update, after 10-20 minutes in navigation, my hard drive (SSD) is committed completely full to make my useless computer. Everything is unresponsive, and the only thing I can do is hard reset.

  I tried to uninstall FF 13, but the same thing would happen with IE and Chrome. So I did a system restore. The good news is the problem drive HARD to gone, but after the auto-update to FF 13, I realized that the computer is awfully slow. I opened my resource monitor, and wow, FF is pretty much drive the CPU at 100% constantly. I have disable FF, and it is fine. On FF12, I would more than triple number of tabs (40 +) compared to now open (12-13), but it wouldn't make my slow computer.

  It of a bit frustrating because the framework and extensions are the same front. The only difference is the new Firefox.

  Yes, I already tried all those. That is why I asked anyone suffering from the same problem.

  But I found the solution. Given that my CPU was used 100% of the time by a browser, I wanted to check its condition (temperature, speed, etc.). I discovered that the CPU has been limited to 800 mhz to 3.2 ghz. There was a problem with the adapter sector and power insufficient throttle the CPU.

  Good, everyone! I don't mean to create a raid... I already have one of these. but I sometimes HARD disks with images or files on them, I'd love to be able to have an external encloser I can pop a bunch of discs, but do not have to create them in a raid. I want to be able to have all just connect to my computer by themselves and preferably with the ability to connect and disconnect by themselves. I use a 2011 mac book pro (I'm sorry that I can't give up my CD player yet) and there is no USB 3 on it then I would need a thunderbolt Bay. Thanks for the help!

  UPDATE: I found the correct terminology now... what I'm looking for is a type encompassing JBOD (just a bunch of disks). so now I want to know what is the best encloser JBOD I guess.

• New installation of Windows 7?

  Good, everyone. For the past little while, I was in need to wipe and reinstall my Windows 7 after tons of viruses and crud that makes my computer unusable.

  I deleted the partition Windows 7 original, as well as all the documen ts, files, etc., not to mention the recovery Partition that had only Windows Vista.

  I have a Windows 7 Home Premium install disk which unfortunately repeatedly got stuck at 0% on "expanding Windows files. I don't know tons of details on my profile, but I have a HP p6157c with 7 GB of pre-installed RAM.

  I tried wrote the entire drive on a USB key, which did not allow the BIOS it gave me an error saying that "do Pen Drve subscription contains no BONE." I left it at 'Files expand Windows' more than an hour yesterday, which only left at 0% on my return.

  I unplugged all the media outside keyboard/mouse, I went into the BIOS settings and turned usb storage devices, deleted 5 GB or RAM, IDE RAID spending... and a little more.

  Is there any solution for this?

  1. make sure that you have downloaded the entire ISO file. Some people have reported getting only 2 GB of download/3 GB.

  2. If it's OK, try to install the ISO via USB key file (need for 4 GB or more).

  Download the bootsect file form http://www.everettsporting.com/bootsect.zip

  You will need to go into Control Panel, select display large icons, go to the icon of folder options, view tab, and select the hidden files and folders option.

  Once downloaded, copy the BootSect.exe file in the same folder that contains the file of Windows7-USB-DVD-Download - Tool.exe installed. This file in Windows 7's default installation directory is C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Apps\Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool\

  Run the application from the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool as described on the Microsoft Store website. The end result will give you a boot USB flash drive that contains everything you need to install the 64 bit version of Windows 7.

• HP Notebook 2000 cooling fan problem

  Good, everyone. I had my laptop HP 2000 for a few years and I discovered my first major problem a few days ago, when the cooling fan has stopped working. I don't really bother me too much because I have a USB powered cooling fan which depends on my laptop, and it does a good job. My laptop everything on the same average level.

  The biggest problem that I have is a few hours, the laptop turns off automatically because of this.

  So, when I boot it upwards (turn on), it is a reminder that the cooling fan is not working and I have to press 'enter' or the laptop goes off in 15 seconds.

  How can I make the laptop does not take into account the fan broken cooling? I don't want to spend the money to fix it because I can count on the USB-powered device.

  I expect a new fan & new thermal paste & calibration and cleaning would do wonders for the execution of time & the laptop's long-term health.

• Permission to edit/update/copy of Win7 for Vista

  I just got a new PC running Win7 Home Premium 64, and I want to edit files on my server in Vista Home premium 64 SP2. They are connected via a wired network and two machines can see and I can copy files in public directories on each one to the other.

  But I have a problem using existing non-public directories.

  for example 1) I want to create a text on the Win7 machine file and copy it to a directory on the Vista machine.

  or (2) edit a txt, or xls file for example etc on the Vista machine using the Win7 machine.

  When I try 1) I get message "you must" authorized to perform this action on the Win7 machine.

  When I try 2) I can edit the file but cannot save or "save under" except for the public folder on the Vista machine.

  Can someone tell me what I need to apply on the Vista computer to enable me write permission access? or direct me to a simple explanation?

  I tried granting access sharing level and safety with the id of win7 I use, for everyone, authenticated users, etc. to the specific file and directory level, nothing done.

• Flashing image ghost on first Pro CC problem

  Good, everyone. Hope you can help me with this, since I am running out of ideas. Could not find discussions with the same problem as mine.

  I have a 1080 p short film shot on 2 different cameras Nikon D5100. I use first Pro CC, and some free LUTs I found online for the color correction (WARM2 ORIG/DARK Kino37 and GC_Reign_R36_709) on most of the scenes, which pourraient be the ones causing the glitch. Some have a brightness and contrast twisted slightly because the original film was too bright.

  I made the video by pressing the Enter key to make it play smoothly while I worked on it. The film lasts about 21 minutes, and after the first 2 minutes, the video began to Tickle/flashing, as if the light was changed image by image. I had to change a few things so that the video would be a new rendering itself and, after many hours, I managed to do work perfectly when I play it on the first.

  However, when I export the video, the problem is still there - except this time, instead of finding problems with the changing light, there is a ghost image blinking (one of the managers of the flashing video with a lower opacity) right on minute 4. I deleted the exported video before I remembered, I should have taken a screenshot to explain the problem. Stupid choice, I know.

  I tried the two H264. MP4 and Quicktime. MOV and still no luck. Video always plays very well inside the first, however. Speculate about what I could do to fix this?

  I guess this movie must be haunted...

  Have you tried to export via Media Encoder? Have you tried to export without the lut to check if they are causing this issue? Have you tried to clean the media cache files? Have you tried to remove the preview files?

  Event: change

  Create opposite: checked
  Selection type: Elements (s)
  Article (s): click on your button

  Maybe I should point out that if you use a model button then you will need to ensure that the model has a button id so that the dynamic action allows to identify the button.

• Is it possible to have a VBScript script run in a particular version of Illustrator?

  Good, everyone.  First time posting here, but ran into a problem I can't solve.

  I try the script for Illustrator CS4 on a system Win 8, but when I try to run a VBScript script in CS4, it opens the CS6 and runs the script it automatically.  Is there a way to get the script to run in CS4 instead of CS6?
