Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A110-149.
All of a sudden the sound has a protruding Ridge that I download the latest driver but still the same problem!
Thank you for your answer

Can you please explain this problem with other words?
What is the problem with the sound?
This affects both its windows and all other sounds (music, video)?
Have you noticed the same thing with the speakers and the headphones too?

HELLO and sorry for my poor English (I am French and novice in English)

I have a problem with my laptop: Satellite A110-149, running Windows XP, bought in January 2007.
Sometimes, for some unknown reason, my keyboard (AZERTY) changes to QWERTY, no matter what program I use.

I updated the drivers in the Control Panel, but nothing changes.

That please? How could I fix it?

    Thank you.

    I have only one explanation.
You have configured the keyboard with two different languages.
By pressing SHIFT + ALT the OS changes the language of the page layout and button assignment.

Maybe during the quick typo you have accidentally enabled this combination of keys and the keyboard power

  • Driver DVD-RAM on Satellite A110-149 problem

I recently received my copy of Express Upgrade to Windows Vista and I installed it as described in the user guide.

The first time Windows Vista ran normally and I had no problem with my DVD-RAM. But then, after having upgraded from windows it asked me to reboot. When I rebooted my computer Windows Vista does not recognize the DVD-RAM driver.

I searched the Web from Toshiba site, this driver but I couldn't find it. I just find drivers Windows XP, which could not be installed.

Do you have anyone had the same problem, or knows where I can get this driver?

    My laptop is a Satellite A110 - 149 (PSAB6E) and the DVD-RAM is a CARPET * a DVD-RAM UJ - 841S

    Hello

usually, a DVD-RAM needs no driver, it must be recognized automatically. Have you ever tried to remove the drive in system properties and restart the system?

Windows should install correctly after that. If this isn't the case, please make a comment.

  • Satellite A110-149: the battery is empty after about an hour

    Hello
I bought a satellite A110-149, but I'm worried for the battery as in only 1 hour or a little more, it is already empty. Is this normal?

If I let my laptop connected to an outlet throughout the day, this can make my battery less efficient?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Laptop battery of specification of the run time is until 1:45. But I think it is quite unrealistic. Battery life depends on many factors like the profile selected in the intelligence tool, run the applications and processes and perhaps the use of the optical disk drive.

At the end I can tell you that there is no problem and this time rung is normal for this laptop and battery 4 cells.

  • Good question on Satellite A500 Pro

I just bought a laptop Satellite Pro A500 and I have major problems with audio... it keeps crackling as it is not quite on a radio station - it did this mainly in iTunes and on videos that I play.

I took it back to the retailer, and they are not aware of any questions... I updated the audio driver and did a factory reinstall... - What is a defective machine and I need to take it back to get replaced or is there a problem inherent in this series?

    Thank you very much

  • Good question on Satellite L750

    Hello

I have a little problem with my computer, the Toshiba Satellite L750.

Whenever I turn on the computer, the sound will work for 4 or 5 minutes on the internal speakers.

After that his Cup. But this doc is weird is that the gauge moves, he did sound does not come out. For now, the sound works fine when I connect headphones or external speakers.

I tried a lot of solutions. I even installed Linux on another partition. In any case, the speakers will be stop after awhile.

+ The message was edited: assignment has been translated.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say why this is happening. If there is no problem with headphones or external speakers somewhere I think there must be a technical problem.

Maybe his cuts off because the faulty cable connection.
Tis must be studied, so I think that the best solution for you is to contact Toshiba service nearest and ask for help.

  • Good question on Satellite M100

    Hey guys,.

    Long story short.
From nowhere to start a week ago I had a saying that an "unhandled exception has occurred to iexplorer.exe and psqtray.exe (?)" debugger just - in time.
So I installed IE 7 and uninstalled Visual studio.
It turns out he has solved this problem. But it has caused significant shifts.
So I uninstalled IE7 and she back to IE6 and it worked like a charm again. But now, out of nowhere, my sound lag + distorts.

Whenever I try to listen to music, the sound lingers just like heeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooo, and frustrates me a lot.
I've had this laptop for 18 months now and it worked like a charm until last week.

Has anyone experienced similar problems and solved?
I would be very happy any kind of help on this.

    See you soon.

    Hello

The European Toshiba page provides a Realtek audio driver.
    He was transferred on 04/06/08.

I would say, you should first try to reinstall this driver from the Toshiba European page.
If it does not help to solve the sound problem, try to use the audio driver from the Realtek page.

    Check it out!

  • Satellite A110 battery does not & will not work if the battery is connected

    Hello

I will try to regain control of the situation quite clearly.

    Product: Toshiba Satellite A110-149

Works fine on AC adapter / CC (Eve just a summary of the problem but because of Gentoo Linux, this used to work under Windows XP)

Original battery was dead. Not only there is no charge, but with this battery and the AC adapter absolutely nothing, not a single LED. No need to mention that I couldn't turn on the computer.

Bought a new battery at Eforcity.com
    -Replace: PA3465U-1BRS | 10.8V | 6600mAh (71Wh)

With this new battery and the AC adapter plugged in, I have the green power led and lighted orange recharge. But even after 8 hours and the computer off of the battery did not charge.
If I try to turn on the computer with this new battery in and the AC adapter is plugged in it starts to run, but after awhile it stops automatically, no question weather I start or enter the BIOS.

BIOS is Phoenix v1.50 and reset the default settings.
Also, downloaded the last OS independent 1.70 - WIN (bios - 20090121162419.zip), but is there a way to update without Windows?

I tried to just unplugged and press the power button several times (last test, I continued pressing more than 2 minutes for what counts)

I have clean the contacts with alcohol.

Would it be because of a fuse or capacitor I could replace myself or something?

    Any help would be grateful.

    Kind regards
    Charly

    Hello

I'm not quite sure what happened to the laptop, but first of all you need to know that laptop m should feed and must run properly if the AC adapter is plugged.
The isn t battery required to power the unit if the power adapter provides power for the laptop.

So if ONLY the battery would be affected, the unit must always turn sector.

This is why I think that its a serious hardware issue for example motherboard problem.

  • Satellite A110-195 - Ram upgrade questions

    Hello

    I have Toshiba Satellite A110-195

    My questions are:
    (1) what is the maximum size of ram per slot, 1 GB or 2 GB?
I have 2 cylinders on my laptop right now 512 MB each. Am I able to replace one of them with a ram of 2 GB?

    (2) right now on my laptop I have DDR2 [PC2-4300] Rams.

    Any SoDimm DDR2 ram working?
Either the ram DDR2 and exactly PC2-4300.

Laptop supports the Mobile IntelĀ® 945GM Express Chipset
    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/27857/Intel-82945GM-graphics-and-memory-controller

According to the Intel page, the chipset handles max 4 GB RAM.
This means that you can use 2 x 2 GB RAM or 4 GB RAM module.

    The chipset supports DDR2-400 / DDR2-533 / modules of RAM DDR2-667

  • Bass is not good enough on my Satellite A110-293

I have a Toshiba Satellite A110 - 293 Notebook. There is a problem with the audio for laptop, the sound seems to lack Bass. When I play a music file, the bass is abnormal, there is no bass or bass is not clear. The laptop fitted with a Realtek HD Audio device and there the SRS technology, and it suppose to have a rich acoustic bass, bass suppose to be richer as a normal bass sound produced from a normal PC without SRS technology, but even there is no normal low in my book.

I adjusted the levels in virtual audio software Toshiba (SRS), I tried all the different configurations and I've adjusted at all levels, but still have the same problem, and even when I turn off Toshiba virtual sound software and I have the same problem. I tried media with their value default or modified diffusers graphic equalizer, but it has not solved the problem.

I use the PC Works 2.1 Creative speakers and even with the adjusted maximum bass, there is no low clear, there is nothing wrong with the speakers because I've tested on another PC and they work no doubt, I also tried different types of speakers on the laptop but the problem still exists.

The laptop is equipped with Windows XP Home Edition, I reinstalled Windows using the recovery media, but still the same. I downloaded the audio driver for my laptop from Toshiba Web site and updated audio driver. I downloaded an updated version (R 1.64) of the official website of Realtek Realtek HD audio driver (the driver that comes with the laptop version is R1.36) and I've updated the audio driver on the laptop, but there is no change, and the Toshiba Virtual Sound not works with update audio driver.

I installed a new copy of Windows XP by using a Windows XP installation CD (not the same copy that comes with Notepad). I used the latest version of the sound driver that I downloaded from the site Web of Realtek (R1.64), the sound was functioning normally and that the bass is normal and obvious. But when I updated audio driver with the driver supplied with the laptop, the problem of bass is back.

I installed a new copy of Windows Vista, this Version of Windows can identify the audio device Realtek HD automatically, the sound worked well and there was no problem with the bass, when I have updated audio driver in Windows Vista with the form driver Toshiba site Web (V6.0.1.5334SRS), he continues to work properly without any problem on bass , and the sound quality was fine. So basically, when I install another copy of Windows and you are using a different version of the audio driver, the problem is solved.

It seems that the problem is with the original for laptop audio driver, (it is not a hardware problem) and the problem is that once the driver is installed on the laptop, the problem peut t be resolved then, because I tried to install a different audio driver, but the problem of bass will be not resolved, even when I tried to manually delete everything about driver original audio. I hope you can solve this problem for me because I want to use the Windows XP of origin provided with the laptop and I don't want to use a different copy or version of Windows.

    You presentation is very interesting.
I guess what he s hope a driver sound question let s that Toshiba will release a new audio driver update. This should help

  • Satellite A110-174 - RAM upgrade questions

    Hello

    I have a Satellite A110-174

I want to buy a RAM module (it uses ddr2 ram, 533 MHz), but it seems impossible, in view of their.
I can only find the frequencies of 800 or higher.

I can use them or they give me problems / incompatibilities?

Can I mount 1 module or to buy 2 modules?

The motherboard will read up to 4 GB or need a Bios Update?

    Thank you

Satellite A110-174 can be upgraded up to 4 GB of RAM.

In order to use a feature of dual channel RAM, two modules must be used.
This means module of RAM 2 GB in each slot.

The 4 GB RAM limit is caused by Mobile Intel 945 GM Express chipset
http://Ark.Intel.com/de/products/27857 as well as the Intel Core CPU T1350 http://ark.intel.com/de/products/27243
The processor supports the 533 Mhz FSB (front side bus) and the RAM modules will run max at 533 Mhz.

Thus, you should use the DDR2-533 modules

But sometimes, you should be able to use the DDR2 - 667 Mhz modules. In this case the 667 Mhz speed module will be clocked at 533 Mhz

  • Question about Ram upgrade on a machine Satellite A110

    Hello

I wonder if I can replace my 512 MB PC 4200 Mhz SO - DIMM DDRII with a 2 GB PC 5300 Mhz SO - DIMM DRRII I to my Satellite A110?

    Thanks in advande.

    / Mattias

The laptop can be upgraded up to 2 GB. You can use the module of RAM 1 GB max in a memory slot!

The laptop seems to support FSB 533 MHZ and so I should be possible to use the 533 Mhz memory modules too
