Google search using https but seems to return results to undecryped
Since the upgrade to v14, I believe that, whenever I type in a google search in the search bar or the Firefox start page, the results are back as a page of illegible characters (for example an exclamation mark on a background of black triangle). I noticed that the search is using an https address. If I remove the s of the part of https in the URL generated by the address bar Firefox and press ENTER, it comes back as usual. It seems that research is the recovery of the figures, but Firefox is not decipher the results or not properly decipher them and simply display the results.

Hi all
I have a weird problem with the CF10. I have configured Tomcat 7 and configure SSL. Manager Tomcat works fine for HTTP and HTTPS for IE and Chrome. I created the WAR for the CF10 and deployed on Tomcat 7. CF10 admin can be access via http in IE and Chrome. But the HTTPS protocol is not access via IE (any version) but accessible via Chrome. Even my manager Tomcat stop work over HTTPS for IE but its fine in Chrome or firefax work. Anyone know the configuration I need to change? Do you know the reason why I have this problem of weerd?

I can't open links in google search using Firefox.
I can open the links when I search with Bing or Yahoo and Google looking for work when I use IE, so it's only when I use Google with Firefox. Also, if I try to open links in a new tab, I get error 404. For example, if I try to open bbc.co.uk/news from the search page it does not do anything, if I try to open it in a new tab I get Error 404 and this string in the address bar: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t & rct = j & q = & esrc = s & source = web & cd = 1 & cad = AJLN & uact = 8 & ved = 0CB4QFjAAahUKEwjEzpKmif3IAhUM9GMKHQZeClQ & url = http %3 has % 2F % www.bbc.com%2Fnews 2F, & usg = AFQjCNFZIG7IKy3foMCFY0dzRExKv9KjFQ
I tried refreshing Firefox and disabling add-ons; I don't know what else to do.
I have Windows 10, if this has something to do with the problem.
You can try to delete the files (extensions.json and extensions.ini) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created if necessary.
See "extension corrupted files:
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/unable+to+install+add-ons
If you see disabled extensions or is not compatible in "Firefox button/Tools menu > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button at the left end of the search bar to check if there is an update available compatibility.
If that didn't help then also delete the addons.json file and the file prefs.js reset setting pref of the extension of the Protection of Kaspersky.
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

If I enter anything in the awesome bar / search bar, it displays "Looking up nameofwebsite.com"instead of "Waiting for nameofwebsite.com".
I noticed that he search using https:. If I search using google, I can take the part s of https for HTTP is used, and when I press ENTER, it works, but the browser adds in the s and research in https.
Everything works fine except for the search functions.

Google search results disappear after flashes on the screen for about one second.
When using advanced Google search (http://www.google.com/advanced_search), the result will Flash on the screen for about one second, then I don't see that a screen is empty. Pressing 'Enter' again once does not change this white screen. It started there, at the time, that I've upgraded to Firefox 10.0 approximately two days. This problem could be caused by the Firefox update? When I use the Google Search base (https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en), I don't have this problem. My OS is Windows 7.
I'm glad to have helped, this thing sometimes works with General problems with Web sites and therefore often worth a try.

Firefox uses https rather than http
I had problems to connect to a site recently so I tried to use https instead of http and I got but only a text based page. Now I want to go back to using http, but Firefox uses https rather than http.
I put browser.urlbar.autoFill.typed and browser.urlbar.autoFill to false, but it does still even after restarting Firefox. I deleted cookies, the tab of this site closed and restarted Firefox. He always does.
I tried to set the keyword. URL to http://***.***.org/ "obviously with the correct url.
Anyone has the clues how to stop this?
One of the reasons why a "Strict-Transport-Security" header sent by your server (or an application on your server). Once Firefox stores this parameter specific to the site, you may be stuck with HTTPS forever. See this thread for an example: Firefix 25.0.1 forces SSL even when http:// is specified in the address bar.
The function "to forget this site" will erase all the known places that Firefox can keep information on the site. This, of course, history and cookies, but also includes the permissions specific to the site and even favorite.
If you want to try it, the option is available in two locations:
- The library dialogue (history > view history). Right click on any entry to the site.
- The subject: permissions page (type or paste on: permissions in the address bar and press enter). Choose the site from the list on the left and look for the button in the upper right.

Today, I was unable to obtain results when I put a topic into the google search bar. However, if I use the address bar it will work and I eventually switched to internet explore and was able to get results in the google search bar.
Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.
'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:
- Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

AVG safe Search appears when I only use Google Search on my home page.
My home page is the default page of Firefox with the Google search bar. I like occasional Firefox messages when I log so I don't want to change my homepage. However, when I use the search bar on my homepage only, I get the unsatisfactory results of AVG safe Search.
UPDATE: I realize has now all the troubleshooting information that I included in my original question is displayed under the link "Details of the system more" beside the question, not in the body of the question. I copied here to make it easier to see what I've done to try to solve the problem, but also to describe one clue that I have that may be relevant:
I tried all the fixes on different threads, but my point: config is now Virgin (no avg or isearch mentions; keyword.url is default). Closest solution for you is to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/866327 , which requires a change of my homepage.
Curiously, AVG safe Search is not a problem when I use Google or search the site of Google toolbar when I use the search bar that appears on my home page (start). This is true even when I return to my home page - if I search from the Google search bar in the middle of the page, I am sent to AVG Safe Search. (isearch.avg.com).
I read in a thread of a suggestion to delete my file chromeappsstore.sqlite in the folder of my profile. As promised, Firefox has created a new when I restarted however, the search bar in the middle of my home home page did not work at all. Tried this three times before restoring my original.
I don't have an application that opens a sqlite file, but I tried to do in Excel and found a cell containing the following text:
emoh.:moz - security aboutsearch engine {'Name': "AVG safe Search", "searchUrl" ': "http://isearch.avg.com/search?cid={7A3C25A0-E345-4507-AA31-D98F596A81A9}" & mid = c48135235ba247d18ac1d14b344db451-addd29eab2809954d5abdf0b991a5b911a297819 & ds = is015 & lang = en & v = 10.0.0.7 & pr = his = d & sap dsp = & q = _searchTerms_ "}
I have no idea what this means, but it's the only thing I can find related to Firefox which mentions again AVG and isearch.avg.com.
At this point, my best guess (but that's a guess) is that the chromeappsstore.sqlite file is a key for a complete solution, but I don't have enough knowledge to go beyond and address it. I appreciate any help anyone can offer.
I think I solved the problem. As someone who has used occasionally used Access and other database applications, I had to first find a free app that would allow me to change chromeappsstore.sqlite. Then, I needed instructions on how change. I found the answers to these two questions to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/779082 . Thank you Dr. Watson; awaits my needs 10 months ago!
I don't think I'd be able to formulate my questions clearly enough to find the solution without posting here first.
For the people who try this solution do not know databases: make sure that you save a copy of the chromeappsstore.sqlite before trying this fix. You cannot save a copy under a different name of the sqlitebrowser application (or at least, I couldn't find a function "save under").

I am running Firefox 4. The search bar is the google search engine and I used to get the location search options when I tried to use it! This is after I enter a search word and press return, I'd get results and on the left of the page I had the ability to change my pages of web location of my country or around the world. But now it's over. But when I go to google.com.sg, I am able to get it.
Look here for the other Google search engines including google.com.sg:
