Google Tag Manager (GTM) on Eloqua Landing pages

I'm a big fan of Google Tag Manager, and I'd love to add it to our Eloqua (E10) landing pages. Try to add in the code snippets JS generates an error. I saw a discussion about GTM, but it has been on the addition of tags Eloqua in the container. I saw a suggestion regarding the use of the static component of content Cloud - wouldn't this mean having to build a separate component for each page?

Someone at - it chance with that?

Yes unfortunately it is overall don't understand... That means manually include on the old pages...

The tag handler code must be just after the opening body tag, but I can't do with it! Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hello

Tags from Google code Manager does not work in the section Head. It must be placed aftertag. Like Muse does not access code. You can export your site in html format, open the pages in the html as Dremweaver editor and insert the code betweentag.

  • Scripts customized Eloqua Landing Page

Support told me to try and post my question on top coatings.

We have an application on our website (route - map Group Hub)

If you fill in all the information and click on "itineraries expore" another form will go up.

It is now an Eloqua w landing page / form Eloqua. (http://solutions.hubgroup.com/LP=92) The original values, Destination, weight, frequency and Volume have been entered on the previous card application had to be shot in the form of Eloqua.  That's how it worked in the past, but recently stopped values sucked by.  On http://solutions.hubgroup.com/LP=92, we have hidden fields that had to accept these values.  You can see on the (enclosed) altert that values are not themselves pulled in hidden fields.  However, by looking at the URL, you can see that the values are being captured.

My question is, how do solve us this problem so that the values of the shape of the card is pulled into the hidden fields on the landing page/form Eloqua?

Support said it is possible with scripting on the landing page?

    Thank you

There is actually a connector of clouds out there to do just that!  The connector of the Population of form (link below).

    http://topliners.Eloqua.com/community/do_it/blog/2012/04/25/installing-and-using-the-form-population-cloud-app

It makes it very easy to complete query string vars in hidden fields.

  • Transfer data from the landing page visitors in eloqua

    Hello

I want to transfer data of eloqua landing page visitors. Then please explain to me the process for this.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Manish,

Looks like you need to use the API to import this data to Eloqua.

You can use the API in BULK

    http://topliners.Eloqua.com/docs/doc-3031

    You can also use REST

    https://github.com/fredsakr/Eloqua-samples/BLOB/master/customObjectData-helper/CustomObjectDataSample/CustomObjectDataHelper.cs

There are also other messages, you'd find on Topliners dealing with CDO for importing data by using APIs.

    Thank you

  • Errors of Google in Adobe Muse tag Manager

I am using the Google tag Manager and other analysis tools that require the HTML to put immediately after the body tag.

No matter where I put the HTML object I can't seem to get the code to come immediately after the body tag - it always appears in a div that will not allow Google.

Thank you very much to all those who have an answer!

    script muse google copy.jpg

Muse provides no standard user interface to insert HTML right after the tag of body without a div around it.

However, it is possible to do it with a mucow file. I posted one here which allows you to add some HTML just after the open body and/or body close tags:

    Download insert HTML MUCOW

Download the .mucow file and choose 'File: Place '.... "to place in the Muse. You can add the HTML code you want with the user of Widget interface.

  • Google tags

When I add Google webmaster tag in page properties paste HTML it goes in the tag body, but after a div, try ok both times, but in this case, see below google's response: so for Google Webmaster tools to work and remarketing to work (that once again the default container placement HTML in Muse puts wrongly) can I do that in Muse or should I modify the code myself and be very careful every time I change the site? If Yes this poses big problems to Muse otherwise than as a brochure site.

Manager tags Google Tag should be placed immediately after the opening < body >, not within any other HTML element. The Google tag Manager extract must be placed directly on the page that you intend to follow up. Place in a hidden iframe or deploy in one other Tags management system will prevent some tags to track exactly the parent page.

Tags added via the tag Google Manager can not fire.

Please be sure to place the GTM snippet immediately after the opening < body > tag.

I got a response to that of Adobe Lance - you can insert a html MuCow file that will allow him to work - have managed to get my tags works fine now with this.

  • Contact ID from a landing page to another

I am trying to build a variant on a several page form and has difficulties in addition to the elqcontactid of a landing page to another.  Here's the context:

I want to send an email to the contacts in an education campaign that encourages users to visit one of a number of "cost calculators" written in Javascript and positioned on the Eloqua landing pages hosted.

The link in my outgoing email takes the contact to landing page 1 that does two things.  The visitor is presented with a progressive form of profiling (or contact search where the elqcontactid is not found) to the door to keep the calculator tools that are on pages 2, 3, or 4 landing. Secondly, the form contains a field lookup that is used to control the page landing (2,3 or 4) to which the user is redirected in a conditional processing time.  Data from the tool of savings on the second page visited needs to write to a CDO linked to the contact record.

So the question is how I pass the elqcontactid (or possibly recipient id) on pages 2, 3 or 4 so that the shape on this second page data be correctly matched? Or is there a better way?

Your help would be very appreciated!

    Hi Allan,

    Several ways to do so.

1 contact ID / recipient ID and add it to the URL of the page on page 1 of destination as cid = based on database search scripts, the same do the same on page 2, 3 and 4 to get the same data up on the last page... or

    2. create a hidden field, fill in the value of the cid with the look of data script, make this hidden, it will get submitted on page 1, also do the same on page 2, 3 and 4. You can search the value in each stage of processing for each page before running it (making it conditional)

I hope this helps. (I choose option 2)

    Thank you

We are witnessing a number of our users not only to read the emails, but also refer to the arrival on mobile pages.

    Hi Shane

I had the same problem, I brought a model of landing page on themeforest who met and transferred then as a model in Eloqua.

I then removed the shape on the stencil and added an Eloqua shape, the result is a sensitive Eloqua landing page.

  • You see landing page views and presentations in the form of a link within the ADC?

I created the business conduct contained in E10 which includes a link to an Eloqua landing page containing a form Eloqua. The ADC is an Eloqua email. When I got the email with the CDA on the canvas of the campaign, it is not "related" to the landing page and the form as would do an e-mail containing a link normally. Is there a way to "bind" the ADC to the landing page and the shape on the canvas of the campaign, or Earn pageviews and remittances form since the show of CDA upward on the e-mail activity in Insight?

If you add the LP to the campaign from the mouth on the left side (and then click to extract the same form element), will be associated with the campaign for the statement of purposes even without the link of the email be rendered on the screen.

  • Dynamic content on the 2nd landing page (confirmation page)

I read a few posts, but the explanations were not very clear to me, so looking for direct help.

I have an email which redirects the customer to a landing with a form page.  The dynamic content on this page works as expected.

By submitting the form, the client is redirected to a 2nd Eloqua landing page (a 'Thank you' page).  On this page, dynamic content does not work.

First of all... WHY HE JUST DOESN'T WORK?  They are two Eloqua landing pages, if the cookie is there and the first form could easily pass the visitor/contact/email info, so that the content of the 2nd landing page works as expected.  This should be a built-in feature that shouldn't need of extra effort.

As it is, I tried to implement a population form Cloud Connector (so far unsuccessfully), add a form hidden on the 2nd page of launch.

It seems that people have got it works, but the complete set of steps is not clear.  Help!

    Thank you

    Jim

    You need:

    1. A form to the email address field
    2. A processing step "Contact - Form Data Update" that maps Email address Source field-to-field target E-mail address
    3. The bottom of treatment in the left panel is a button '@'.  It must be mapped form field Email Address to the address Email of Contact field
  • Dissect of Eloqua own AdWords Landing Page and URL with query string parameters, please!

I presume that for AdWords landing pages are one of the most common types in use. I'm at a new company and try to create an approach that uses the latest methods. HAFS is gradually, and a large part of the information contained in the Topliners is old (2011) as these popular posts

What is the best way to track Google adwords through Sales Force?
How to capture Sources referring to forms and Landing Pages using query strings

and the references using javascript to analyze the parameters in the screens that is 2009 and is not exactly what Eloqua uses today.

I started to look at what Eloqua uses in its own marketing efforts and saw the potentially useful parts and parts that are confusing. I thought it would be useful if someone could dissect the code of the landing page and explain how each part of the code is. I'm OK with short descriptions and references to other articles or messages to explain the different parts that have not changed.

Here's a page url to use. I added 'x' before each additional parameter then click top ruin the campaign stats.

    http://demand.Eloqua.com/LP=3461?elqoffer=xGartnerMQ & GoogleCampaign = xEloqua & SLS = xPPC_Google_Eloqua_2012 & gclid = xCKGFzcHyh7YCFQThQgod7lMAyg

Here are some specific questions that I hope can be answered:

    • What you rely on Google to deliver you in their reports vs. what you capture discrete parameters: elqoffer, GoogleCampaign and sls
    • You use the gclid itself? How?
    • Is there a new better method for parsing of URLS and using hidden fields settings?
    • How do you use Eloqua cookies at the same time to send the form of Adwords?
    • You dynamically change the landing page?

    Thank you!

    Hi Mike,.

I'm on the Ops of Eloqua Marketing team and can shed light on some of your questions.  I hope this helps!

    • What you rely on Google to deliver you in their reports vs. what you capture discrete parameters: elqoffer, GoogleCampaign and sls

    • elqoffer - we use elqoffer to indicate that the offer is valid for adword.  The value we deliver is used for many things.  Of course, we use it for reporting purposes, but we also set up our steps to use this value in a hidden field to redirect to the appropriate page supply once the form and also send the appropriate autoresponder of form processing.  We set up a dropdown list (aka select list) cards offer URL values (for the page of the offer) and another list of choices cards offer values to email ID (for the answering machine).
    • elqchannel - we also usually include a query string for the elqchannel who tells us the General source of the Contact (e.g. Google, Bing, etc.).
    • SLS - is essentially the Source of lead (sls = source of specific lead).  We use it to fill a hidden fields that reach "lead Source - Original" and 'Lead Source - the most recent'.  For us, the source of the specific lead is a very granular (and non-General, such as 'research') but includes a lot of information based on a strict naming convention.
    • That's what we use Eloqua to adwords, but we also use an SEO company to help us optimize our search spend.  To do this, they provide their own tracking code we put on the landing page initial as well as the page of the offer (ie. confirmation page).  To get the code on our LP, we use the cloud "Static content" component that allows you to place any custom code you want in the body of the HTML code.  Unfortunately, I don't have details on what exactly is captured with this code, or how it is used.
  • You use the gclid itself? How?
    • I don't know the answer to this one.  It's someone else on our team that works closely with an SEO company, so I think they know.
  • Is there a new better method for parsing of URLS and using hidden fields settings?
    • YES!  You may have noticed, we have some Javascript on our landing page that does a few things.  First of all, he did a Web data search in Eloqua to see if you are a known visitor and if so, we can pre-fill the form with information we already know the visitor.  The other thing is the JS is populate our hidden fields with the values of query string.  We started to do this before I had a cloud component that eliminates the need for JS custom.  You can use Form Population App to do all that for you.
  • How do you use Eloqua cookies at the same time to send the form of Adwords?
    • I'm not 100% sure I know what you're asking here, but my answer to the previous question can also respond to this one.  Data search Web first checks the Eloqua cookie to retrieve your email address, and then it uses this email address to search for your Contact field values and pre-fill the form.
  • You dynamically change the landing page?
    • We're not changing dynamically the landing page.  Usually, a visitor to click through to an Eloqua email or visit a page PURL.  Dynamically present the offer page based on the value of the query string for "elqoffer."  Looking for an application Cloud released in the coming days that will allow you to place the dynamic content on this initial landing page based on your cookie.
  • The way we structure our campaigns is based on the balance between reporting requirements while maintaining their operational efficiency.  For example, we do want to create a new campaign for each offer that we have.  That would quickly overwhelm our team.  For 2013, we have created 3 campaigns:

    1 research

    2. 3rd party Emails

    3 display ads

Each of these campaigns have only 1 formula on it (one for research, one for email and display ads).  Each offer has its own landing page (see screenshot below).  The campaign of the report combined with the data of the form layout give us the requirements we need to understand what is working and what is not.

TIP: If you have custom data objects, you can also consider creating one that seizes all shipments form for each of your forms in 1 place.  This way, you need only 1 set of data instead of individual export for each form of export.

    Example of a search campaign:

  • Eloqua forms/Landing Pages in iframe?

Is it possible to place Eloqua forms and/or landing page in an iframe in our website? Will this work even as if forms and/or landing pages have been made in the fashion of regular Eloqua?

    Thank you.

You can do it. Some considerations: size, confirmation page action, field (https/http) and passing parameters in query string to the iframe - i.e. elq, PURL, campaign ID, source of lead and other dynamic query string parameters.
