GPU ATI Windows Update Message
Hi everyone, I recently bought a laptop Dell Studio 1558 "for parts or does not work" and if she had an hour later. It is great when it works, but it seems to have a problem with the graphics card. Initially, I googled this problem and the solution is to uninstall the GPU and then reinstall it, and it worked beautifully today and then crashed again. It is currently running Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit). I received a message in Windows Action Center that invited me to click on the solution and when I did I received a message that "I needed to be connected to the internet" (I was) and so I could not see the solution. How am I supposed to put in place a solution that I can't watch?
Hello
Thank you for your response.
Problem could be due to conflicts of Kaspersky. Glad to know that you have addressed the issue.

Pavilion x 360: 10 windows update message deletion
I finally understand how to remove this 'Upgrade to Windows 10' message that keeps popping up in my taskbar, but now, he's back! I went back in my Add/Remove programs to see if I have, in fact, re-downloaded somehow (Microsoft Windows KB3035583). He isn't here. I think this might be an update from HP (I received a message once say that Microsoft was no longer supported Windows 8.1 and HP would take over the issues, etc.). I think that this 'Upgrade to Windows 10' message may have been included in a HP update. Can someone help me get rid of this annoying pop up in my taskbar? I'm not interested in Windows 10. I downloaded and tried and I hated it, so I went back to Windows 8.
Thanks for your help,
Dawn R.
I thank you for your reply and detailed instructions (and screenshots)! I'll give it a try and I'll let you know how... Thanks again!

I'm not abe to do the Windows updates, message warns me that the service is not running
I can't do an update of windows due to a message saying that the service is not running. What this means and how can I solve the problem.
Hi EmogeneHutchinson,
· Did you do changes on the computer before the show?
· You install updates?
· What is the full error message?
Follow these methods.
Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.
Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.
After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.
(a) click Start, run.
(b) type msconfigand click OK.
(c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.
(d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.
(e) when you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.
Method 3: You can also manually install updates (KB number) by downloading from the Microsoft Download Center.
http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx
Method 4: Follow the steps in the article.

Original title: Windows Update.
What is your PC will restart in 2 days to complete the important update installation?
That is the message windows 8 gives, after that updates are downloaded and installed.
If you do not restart your computer soon, windows will force a restart of your computer 2 days after that it has installed new updates - to complete their installation.
You must restart your computer at a convenient time for you, rather than wait two days and have it suddenly reboot maybe at an inopportune moment...

I use a laptop HP Pavilion dv4-1220us with Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1, a 64-bit operating system, and I have problems with Windows Update and Windows Installer. When I try to install programs, I get the following, or substantially similar message without the error code:
"Error 1719. The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if Windows Installer is not installed properly. Contact your support team. »
So I tried to download Windows Installer 4.5 and install it. When I try to start the installation, it always hangs on the first step, "Initializing Installation."
After searching for a solution to this problem, I found that Windows Update may have a solution. So I downloaded the 64 bit version and got a file named 'file Windows6. 0-KB942288-v2 - x 64. I tried to run this file. He opened a box that said, in order "Prepare for Installation", "Full Preparation", and finally "Searching for Updates ', before you open a second box, which reads" click OK to install the following Windows software update: fix for Windows (KB942288). I clicked on OK in this box, which opened another box, which says at the top "updates are installed" and in a smaller section, "initializing for Installation................... »
However, no matter how long it works, it never gets past "Setup initialization."... »
So I tried to run Windows Update in Control Panel. He ran for a while, before giving a message saying "to check the updates, you must first install an update for Windows Update." I clicked on the button that says "install now". He has flashed, a moment, "download and installation of updates' before you go to the"check for Updates"and then he brought back the exact same upward ' to check updates, you must first install an update for Windows Update" message as before. I clicked install now once again, only to go into the exact same loop. After about four times in a loop, I gave up on it.
So I tried to install Windows Installer 3.1v2, which took a while before saying "not enough memory is available to process this command." and the abandonment of the installation.
So, I tried to download a program from 'Mr. Fix - it' of Microsoft. It downloaded fine and then failed on installation, because of the same Setup error I received initially.
Finally, I tried to restart my computer and each solution is represented. Then I clean my computer and each solution is represented.
In conclusion, the mistakes that I have in Windows Update and Windows Installer cordoned off each other, as the mistakes of each program are based on the other program to be repaired. I'm at my wit's end here. My computer works fine without one, except that I can't install new programs. I can access the internet fine, access files fine, all my scans have developed own... I don't really know what is happening. Can someone help me with this?

If you do a repair Upgrade install borrow a Microsoft dvd vista not an acer, HP etc. recovery disk and do a repair installation
read the below tutorial on how to perform a repair installation
http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-Vista.html
______________________________________________________________
and here are the different ways to reinstall vista;
Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it
they do it for a nominal cost of $
also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence
or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc
Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

I had to edit this post, because I was the lack of information on my problem...
Well that's even once...
I decided to give maintenance to my laptop then I formatted last night then in the morning, I started today with the updates of windows (was the first thing I did, so I haven't installed programs). It started to download as 110 updates, when you're done, asked me to restart, and I did. As at other times, it configures the first 30% before restarting, and when it restarts then got stuck in the message of "Configuration of the Windows updates... failure. It takes like 20-30 minutes to restart, and when he does, still happens once, I mean the restart and the same message. So I can not connect or anything.
Some features:
Laptop: Toshiba Qosmio x 875
Processor: Intel core i7-3630QM CPU 2 .40GHz
RAM: 12 GB
System: Windows 8 64-bit
GPU: Nvidia GTX 670M / 3GB
2 500 GB HARD drive, don't know the model or brand
I have not yet installed antivirus, in fact I uninstalled Norton to install Kaspersky later, but I'm stuck with the real problem.
I bought this laptop as 14 months ago, is the first time the problem appears.I have not tried certain steps of the links because some of them need to connect.
Thank you, hope someone can help me.

Upgraded to 8.1 Windows update 80242006 on G500 error message
Hi there hope someone can herlp me. I have 12 updates, showing as needing to be installed in my windows update to go on my new lenovo G500 but every time I try and install it, I get the error message 80242006. I Googled it and tried the suggestions with no luck, even if I still have one for windows 8.1 which I updated this notebook to spot.
The missing updates are Ko 2987107, 2968296, 2972103, 2979573, 2978041, 2979576, 2977292, 3000061, 3000869, 2989542, 2998174 and 3000988.
The problem would be because I upgreded laptop for windows 8 8.1? Thanks for any help, Peter.
To reply to my message, I seem to have fixed. I went to control panel, troubleshooting, system and security and ran solve them problems that prevent you from updating windows, restarted and run windows update manually and have now installed the updates that would not install previously.

Hello
I have a PC desktop HPE-170 a current running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, which has been installed on the machine by the store where I bought it. It has been properly activated and has worked very well for 18 months or more.
The other day it decided to not start and a computer savvy friend corrected the problem by removing the RAM memory cards, clean the gold plated connectors and re - insert the. This fixes the problem and it started again.
Today I received a message on the computer of Microsoft saying "your copy of Windows is not genuine" and he invited me to "solve online. Well, click on the 'My Computer' icon showed me that windows was still active.
By clicking on the "solve Online" link took me to a validation page, where after she tried to validation, it says "The Validation failed" and advised me to buy another copy of Windows 7 HP for AUD $149. Gee, thanks, but no thanks Microsoft. I clicked on cancel and the non-genuine message has not yet reappeared.
I also found now that Windows Update doesn't work that way.
I rang MS that says that I need the Windows 7 Setup disk. When I said that I don't have one, they advised me to ring HP. I didn't have time to complete the phone call from HP, but I believe that HP wants me to reset the system to factory with them State guide me by phone.
I have a genuine copy of Windows, a product key, and it shows as activated. From what I understand the system think that I tried to put my copy of Windows 7 on a new computer or similar? I'm not sure.
Is it really difficult to get the system works just like before?
Thanks for the reply.
I'm afraid I don't understand your instructions. I think that you are a fair way waiting for me in the issues of tech savvy.
I think I have stumbled upon something here; http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02219204
Download and update this driver seemed to do Windows Update includes itself.
I can now go here; realwww.microsoft.com/ /validate/ and he says: "Welcome to Windows".
I hope I now get no more fake messages on my OS Windows is non-genuine.
I'll see what happens tomorrow.
Last update 18/7: seems to be fixed, no more problems.
