  Three things I can think of:

  Your document must be in RGB mode.

  Layer blending mode should be set to Normal

  Masks are grayscale. If you select the mask, you cannot apply a color.

  Always check your tab at the top to see if what you choose is RGB or grayscale.

  In general, I would recommend sRGB, if images must be consulted on the screens of TV or PC monitors. sRGB is usually the universal profile for sharing photos on the web. If you want to share your images on a single disc, most of the people will see their best, without changes in color, with an sRGB profile.

  So it really depends on your goal. You use a player for sharing and viewing on backup and storage devices.

  If it is just a white gradient on the base color you need, try changing the blending mode of this on the screen.

  The attached picture is a PNG and has a transparent background behind the main design body and the text at the bottom.

  I created the design in indesign and then exported as a PNG file, the background was always white because to achieve the shape of the design, I used a piercing group. After removing the background in photoshop, it is that I find myself with, but what I want to know is, is there an easy way to change the color of the text in the lower part of the black to white in photoshop, rather than change the color of the text in indesign and repeat the whole process?

  Just make a selection of words and then use a fill color adjustment layer.

  (Layer > fill new layer > solid color)

  CTRL or command click the thumbnail in the layers panel, and then subtract from selection of everything except the words.

  Use the rectangular selection tool while pressing the Alt or Option key to subtract from selection of everything except the words.

  You would think that I could understand this... I just want to change all the hues of a gradient mesh.

  I have an illustration of gradient mesh built by someone else. It looks like B & W, but I discovered that it's actually CMYK. So I went to edit > change the colors and changed it to gray scale.

  

  Now I want to just this illustration to use a unique pantone color, retaining all the shades.  I was play change the colors > redefine using a validation by Wade Zimmerman, but redefine my dialog boxes don't look not the same as the capture of his screen, and I can't seem to do.

  The bar has three layers. The first layer has color - fx-area-border, the second and the third layer have a slope. The first gradient stops are at zero percent, a color which represents 95% of the brightness-fx-accent and 100%, 10% of the brightness-fx-accent. The second gradient (the top layer) is similar.

  These colors, - fx-area-border and - fx-focus are defined in caspian.css. JavaFX CSS recognizes that they are defined elsewhere and them will look upward. -fx-area-border is defined as:

  Ouch. More research and what the heck is this thing of scale? Well, if we look at caspian.css once again, we see that - fx-color is identical - fx-base and base - fx is an actual color (#d0d0d0). The scale shows just to choose one of the colors based on the brightness of the specific color. If the color is not very bright (gray, for example), the black is selected. If the color is brighter, then a color 30% less light-fx-color is selected. -Fx-color is red, for example, then you should get a dark red border of this function of the scale.

  -fx-focus is defined in the same way.

  In any case... where was I going with this... oh yes.

  If you want to use setStyle, then you can play with the layout colors - fx-area-border and/or - fx-accent. Or, you can play with the color - fx for the ProgressBar control, for example: pb.setStyle ("- fx - color: Red ;"); ") This will affect all the styles that are applied to this ProgressBar (but not others).

  I worked on this all day, it's my 3rd day ever using Photoshop.  I have the books of class, been Googling this, does everything in the books/videos/online help and I cannot get this picture to change.  I have already made a few images and even managed to use the gradient tool, so I know that I'm not retarded.

  4 hours invested in an arrow thin color change is not good.  I have the arrow enlarged in photoshop, but I can't get the color to change.

  Why isn't the color replace option work?  I managed to do it working earlier today on the other stuff, but not this stupid arrow, am I not getting something?

  If you have a look at export to Facebook plugin by Jeffrey Friedl, its Plugin Info dialog box includes static_text items that change color when the mouse passes over them.  A while back I posted on initiate an action when a user clicks on an element of static_text.  He used this to inidcate when static_text elements are interactive, and I want to do it too.  Unfortunately, Jeffrey is unable to talk about it.

  Someone (Eric?) can do the light on this field should be added to static_text to do this?  I know how to turn clicks left and right of the mouse on an item of static_text but have not figured out how to react to the other mouse events yet.

  When asked if I could share information, he replied:

• have a "sphere" with slopes, how can I change the colors?

  I have a file, Illustrator of a sphere, if this isn't technically a sphere.  Its a circle but when you click it, the edges of the frame which see the above seems to show as one, don't really know how to describe it.  Its better to look at the attached screenshot.  There are also involved gradients.  Normally, I would change right on the color chart but without shades were saved for her.  I have a better than average understanding of Illustrator and vector files, but it throws me a loop for.  How would changing colors of gradients in this?

  Its a Gradient mesh, you select the gradient mesh tool and then select

  points at which you want to change the color and you use a solid color

  Swatch to change the colors, but you will need to do the same for

  many of the points. It is an art more then just a technical o you

  may need to experiment a little.

  Copy the art and work on a copy may take easily to her.

  You can do wonderful things with the gradient mesh that you cannot reach with a regular slope
  and you can be very subtle about it as well.
