Granting of privileges of table on the tables users another

Can someone tell me what a privilege must be granted to a user to be able to grant the insert/update/select/Delete/execute on an other users tables/packet?

I thought that "grant any privilege" has been the only one to have... and - user I am using to grant privileges on the other scheme users this has however - I always get: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges when you try to run the grants.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here?

By default, a package runs under the privilege of the owner unless you specify the rights of authentication as long as the current user. The owner must have a direct grant of the object of all the privileges used and cannot inherit those privileges to a role.

How the owner has the 'all purpose of grant privilege' which they have been granted? Or should you be run as the current user to their privileges.

    I don't know anyway to do through the use of Disco Admin, but you can remove privileges directly from the EUL5_ACCESS_PRIVS table using the query:

  • [8i] grant of privileges on a service to a user

    My apologies if this is a stupid question, but I don't usually have to do...

    My normal username doesn't have privileges to perform a function that I need to use, so I logged in as SYSTEM and tried to grant the privilege of my normal username by using the following:
     GRANT EXECUTE ON SCHEMA.FUNCTION_NAME TO <username>;
    But he gave me an ORA-01031: insufficient privileges...

    If the SYSTEM does not have the privileges to grant that... so what should I do? I don't have the password for the user who owns the service, but I know that I can run the function with a different user name.

    I'm sure that (but not certain) that you can grant permissions to others of the schema using sys/system up to version 9, so you would need to get the user that has the function to grant access.

    Why you do not have the password... or why you can't get it? There are ways to access the schema (assuming that you have access to the sys/system), but I'm not really a fan of support without a good reason :)

  • GRANT SELECT on a table to the user / role changes for the tab last_DDL

    Hello

    Is grant select (or any private object) to the user/role a DDL statement?

    GRANT SELECT on a table to the user / role changes the last_DDL to the table.
    1 > is this expected behavior?
    2 > no way in which we can grant select on a table by another user, without changing the DDL? (for example create view).

    The test is performed:

    Prior to the issuance:

    OBJECT_NAME CREATED TIMESTAMP LAST_DDL_TIME OWNER
    ------- ---------------------- ---------- ------------- --------------------
    AR HZ_CUSTOMER_PROFILES 8 MAY 00 13 MARCH 13 2003-06 - 26:12:41:29

    Grant statement:
    GRANT SELECT ON "AR". "' HZ_CUSTOMER_PROFILES ' TO 'AR_VIEW ';

    Note: AR_VIEW is a role, I tried granting also directly to the user.

    After the grant:

    OBJECT_NAME CREATED TIMESTAMP LAST_DDL_TIME OWNER
    ------- ---------------------- ---------- ------------- --------------------
    AR HZ_CUSTOMER_PROFILES 8 MAY 00 21 MARCH 13 2003-06 - 26:12:41:29

    Old thread, discuss whether Grant is DDL or not, but no documented conclusions.
    ( Re: Grant, revoke is DDL and DCL? )

    Please help in the assessment above.

    It's the DOF.

    After all, this isn't DML, it implicitly committed and you cannot use it directly in PL/SQL: features of DDL. :-)

  • Access grant select on all tables in a diagram to another diagram

    Hi all

    I can grant select access on the tables of a schema (SAY USER1) to another (SAY USER2) by giving him a role and in turn grant this role to another scheme as below:

    FOR x IN (SELECT * from user_tables)
    LOOP
    RUN IMMEDIATELY "SELECT WE GRANT | x.table_name | "To < < role1 > > ';
    END LOOP;

    Role1 Grant User2;

    but my question is that suppose I create another table say "TEMP_TAB" in the scheme of USER1 after the execution of the block above user2 will be able to access the table TEMP_TAB. My guess is certainly not. If I'm wrong, I want a way to grant select on a table in the schema of user1 immediately as and when it is created to User2.

    Please suggest a solution.

    Oh sorry. Misinterpreted your post. What you did is the right way to do it. You must add the select role privilege whenever you create a new table. There is no "SELECT the TABLE all THE" specific to a type of data user privilege.

  • How to create the table in another schema of database even

    Hello..

    I have a database DB1
    and 2 patterns / users in this...
    Usr1 and Usr2...

    I created a TEMP Usr1 schema table... and created

    Then tried the following declaration in the schema Usr2...

    CREATE TABLE TEMP AS SELECT * FROM Usr1.TEMP;

    Then it is in error that...
    : 00942 TABLE OR VIEW DOES NOT EXIST...

    What is the reason for this...

    Thank you

    You must make this grant on any new table, you create in usr1 and you want to use in the usr2 schema.

    Its not desirable, but you can give system privileges

    grant select to usr2.

    USR2 can select on any table.

  • The sys user can not see tables belonging to the other schema

    Hello

    We have a database used to store the metadata of the soa suite, yesterday, we asked to grant select on certain tables of the prodsoa_bam schema, but we found this sys cannot see the tables of prodsoa_bam.

    If we question dba_tables we can list the tables of prodsoa_bam, but if we execute a query on the tables that we get an ORA-00942 error.

    Someone suggested a work around?

    Kind regards.

    try using double quotes. It seems that your table name is case-sensitive (which I do like):

    SELECT COUNT (*) FROM PRODSOA_ORABAM. SysIterPrivilege ';

  • Which granted select on a table and when?

    Hi all
    We are running Oracle 10 g. There are a few differences with an array of our production compared to development environments. The table on the development has also provided a grant and has also a synonym. My boss wants to know who was granted access to this table and when? I'm not a DBA. I asked our s/n, and he said that he doesn't think that Oracle keeps track of this type of information. Is it possible to follow these types of changes? Who created such synonym for this table and when? One last thing to add, is that checking is not turned on.

    Thank you for your comments,

    Seyed

    We can see when synonyms are created but not who created unless there is a check of all DDL

    Hi all, finally I found the solution to this exception.

    I did the following steps to solve the problem.

    1. create a bean and use this method

    public void tooManyObjectsMatchExceptioHandeler() {}

    Add the code in the event here...

    System.out.println ("inside the Handeler");

    FacesMessage message =

    new FacesMessage ("Type your friendly message");

    message.setSeverity (FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR);

    FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ();

    fc.addMessage (null, message);

    }

    Now, drag and drop the file above java projects in data controls in the browser of the application.

    2. drag a workflow method call (where u get exception as Houston-25013) and call this method as an activity of the exception handler,

    Now, do a right click on this--> definition of the page method call create or go to definition of the page--> create a link Action method and select the above method in the select and file def page this method call in the workflow then go to properties inspector set out fixed property (here name of activities of method call) u give.

  • Hi all, how can restrict us and end from 'a droping table' user but need access to the 'workshop of data' to load the data into the spreadsheet.

    Hi all

    How can we limit and end user of "droping a table."

    For example: I created an array of login admin and gave access to "SQL workshop" for the end user. but after that I have created a table, the end user cannot access object browser shop and drop a table. one thing we can do does not have access to the SQL workshop. However, my requirement is the user needs to access the data workshop, which is located under the SQL workshop but they it should not access the tables.

    Kindly let me know how we can do this?

    Thank you

    There is no way not to restrict access to individual tools in the workshop of SQL. Rather than give the developer-level end-users to access the SQL workshop, create applications containing data support Wizards, where end-user access can be controlled using the standard APEX authentication and authorization schemas.
