No record or sd card in win Explorer
E260 in mtp mode-
I added a mini (1gig) sd card and it does not appear in win Explorer. I've added music files to the card using a player and when I started the card he updated the database and the music is there, but it does not show yet upin win explore. According to the manual, I see system memory and the card, but I see it only as it was before the map was added. The music is recognized in the drive (so I can play) but not to explore. I like to use explore add and remove music and not having to do it on the card with a reader.
Any help appreciated.

Settings/USB Mode/MSC.
If you do not have a USB switch mode, you have a v2 that could use an update of the firmware.
Using a drive that you actually sent the music more in MSC mode, dealing with the Sansa as two drives (internal memory and microSD card). Windows Explorer cannot see music sent in a fashion: MSC or MTP, not both at the same time, although the Sansa sees everything.
It is useless for PSG at all unless you love Windows Media Player or you've been struggling with DRM files (digital rights black lands). Even if you need playlisting and synchronization, you can do so in MSC mode, with programs like Media Monkey or creator of selections of Sanse (Yes, with a E).
But you will need to remove the music in MTP mode and send it by MSC.

Can't see anything in network in Win Explorer
Network Win Explorer shows nothing, including the local computer except the router [Luxul xbr-2300 company double-wan] which is kind of weird because I've never seen a router appear like that. Otherwise, the network works fine because Outlook on the affected computer can open the PST on the other computer, and the other computer can see the affected computer. Both are newly built machines Win 7 Pro.
Yes - we have checked the settings sharing advanced and discovery network is on and all the other settings are good. The customer says it worked very well and it was working fine when I left it there 3 days, but that night she 'magical' stopped working and we know how it goes. :-)
I've not seen this problem before and can't think what to do except completely remove the network and uninstall the NIC drivers, reboot, install NETWORK card drivers and set up the network from scratch.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Hello

I have an HD camera that records on SD cards. How can I save raw images to a hard drive without import it at the FCC and then share?
YYou want to save raw images, but not all? Is that what you mean? When you import into FVP you can select the songs you want and you can set the library in the Inspector to record the files on any player, anywhere.

Original title: trying to download
WinXP SP3, Security Scan run and d/ld: error message when you try to download Windows Defender: "first remove Microsoft Client Protection." Cannot find this file through the Add/Remove, search, including hidden or Win Explorer. What to do now would be much appreciated.
Also have a related problem about MS Maliciouws software removal tool. For download, but read in the KB that: in XP, the vacuum cleaner will remove the malware, but doing so may trigger the File Protection Win with damages to my operating system. the tool will attempt to repair the damage, but to rehabilitate prior to infection, that I need to insert the CD of Win. As my computer came with Windows preinstalled, I do not have a disk and will not take the risk of damage, that I can't fix. Do I not download or not... ? Another solution... ? I also fear that this tool could settle into the routine Win Update and need guidance on the prevention of this facility, if possible, or what to do if it cannot be prevented.
It can have nothing to do with any of the foregoing. " I'm relaying only because it occurred during the same mission of update: had msg of error that Win Firewall has not been set as a default, which reset, but found this hidden file when searching for the Protection of the customer: "Win 32/Hackdef' - it was a config with the extension ini file and was deleted by Scan."
Thanks a lot for any assistance.

Hello
· You have Microsoft Security Essentials on your computer?
If you have windows installed on your computer security essentials, then you will not be able to install Windows defender. Windows Security Essentials has antispyware component installed.
You get the error because you have installed MS Security Essentials, which has its own function to antimalware. You don't need or want to install Windows Defender, too. Leave MS Security Essentials installed and do not turn it off.

How to make win Explorer Options stay even each time to open the folder
Using Vista Home Premium SP1, in the view of STANDARD as in XP. When I open Win Explorer I resize the window, adjust the display, change the column headers, change the column sizes and others. In other words I customize the display of the window I want and do my thing, then close when you are finished. The next time I open pgm all parameters resumed all that. "Obviously I tried to change all the options I can find but now, asking" HOW can I DO FILE VIEW OPTIONS RESTENT EVEN EACH TIME PGM IS OPEN?"
Hi Willie_wonka,
Thank you for using the Microsoft answers Forum.
When you open a window and resize it, and then close, the new window will remain the same, until what you restart. Once you restart the computer, this is the default value. There is no option in windows to keep. However, you can try work around here.
Open a window and make it the size you want
Open a 2nd window and are the same size. The 1st window to the front, hold CTRL and click the red X in the upper right corner.
Close the window of the 2nd in the same way using CTRL.You can also restore the default settings of the display of the tools-> Folder Options-> view files-> restore default settings.
This should solve the problem.
Kind regards

The Win Explorer crashes/Context Menu Popups
About 4-5 weeks, I started to have Windows Explorer freezes once or twice a day, especially when I start programs from the Start Menu. (I also use RocketDock and explore window will never block when programs start with her). I get a dialog box indicating that I have Windows restart Windows Explorer and the problem goes away. I've been tolerating this inconvenience.About 2 weeks, popups started appearing randomly in any program was in the active window (for example, Firefox, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) without me touching my mouse. I tried to solve this problem, because it steals the focus while I type and is the most troublesome of the two. To this day, I tried withoutsuccess the following:
-changed my mouse
-used the system restore as soon as he'd go (about 15 days)
- virus scan with SpyBot, Adaware, Malwarebytes (all clean, with the exception of a few cookies part 3)
-Chkdsk scan
-Disabled all non-Microsoft context menu using NirSoft ShellExView shell extensions
-One at a time, disabled Microsoft context menu shell individual extensions with ShellExViewThe problem of popup context menu persisted all troubleshooting.
Apart from these two issues, which may or may not be related, my computer (a HP Pavillion) short great. All additional troubleshooting suggestions?
Thank you very much for your time and sharing your expertise.
Merk
If you want the whole Gore story? Although it seems that the problem of context menu is not related to Windows Explorer crashes, the tests I did apparently cleared up that, too. He has not re-emerged in about 5 days.
While disabling the services (Microsoft and others), I came across many problems of implementation of some programmes and operation did not work properly, as one would expect. When I excluded services as a cause and reactivate all, I started having problems with the Windows installation files. First of all, WordPerfect would not go and had to be reinstalled, but only after using the Windows Install Clean Up Utility (WICUU) to clear the Setup done reference file. Then, I had a Windows Update failed (for the first time) and could not install an update of Silverlight. This problem leads to WICUU as reference to installation of Silverlight was also damaged. (I'm sure that other installation problems will arise, but I'll take those as they come).
I don't know if, during my diagnosis, I somehow damage the installation files (do not see how that could happen) or if there is an independent issue which will be me still beset. HOWEVER, for the moment, all is well... no crashes, no popups.
I have no idea why the Win Explorer crashes stopped. But when it comes to Windows, I never look a gift horse in the eye. If it is not broke, I ain't trying to fix. For the time being.
Thanks again for your help.

I wonder if what's on my hard drive and if what Win Explorer is on my hard drive are two different things.
If I do a search in Win Explorer to "purple", I get a number of results.
(To search for a file, I am in the word "Purple" in the search field in the upper right Win Explorer and pressing the "Enter" button). There are a couple of JPG files that I wonder about the search results.
One example is called "purple_flowers.jpg".
When I double-click this file in the search results to open it, my paint program opens and gives me a message that the directory is not found. If I use MS Paint to try and open it by double-clicking on the file and selecting "open with...". MS Paint", I get a message that the directory is not valid. The location of the directory on the error message is the blue 'Images' folder for my user. But, when I opened this file, I don't have a file with that name in this directory. The same thing happens with another JPG file, called "octopus.jpg" when I search the word 'Octopus '.
Is this something messed up between what I have on my hard drive and think what Win Explorer is on my hard drive?
How can I fix?
Something must be reset in Win Explorer?I could have the JPG files with these names at the same time. I had a large library of images for a project, but I deleted it.
(I tried to turn on the option to show hidden files in this directory, but that did not help).Imane:
I thank very you much for that answer.
But it seems to have stumbled on the solution:Strangely, this worked:
(Maybe you know why).
I moved the files in my blue images folder in another folder, delete the folder images blue, emptied the Recycle Bin and rebooted my computer.
When my computer has finished its startup routines, my folder of photos blue was there! And he had the shortcut to the folder 'Sample Pictures' inside.
When I searched "the Octopus" and "purple", I no longer saw these JPG files in the search results.
I don't really know what happened, but I thought that after these results just in case someone else knows this.I'll read and watch in your information. I don't want to know more about what is happening in my computer.

reorganize the library in Win Explorer but the library remains unchanged in Media Player
I am using Windows 7 and when I reorganize the library in Win Explorer, the Windows Media Player library remains unchanged. It's a problem because I download CD books from the library (it is legal), but because the chapters mix, to listen to them on my MP3 player are problematic. Sometimes the player creates different authors or titles according to the CD. I can rearrange them but only with Win Explorer. Why doesn't the Media Player library reflect what the Explorer?
Hi and thanks for your response. I tried you solution but it did not work for me. However, it led me to a Solutions of Web sites on which Microsoft Fixit Windows Media Player popup appeared. I down loaded and ran that and it worked. Thus, in a round point average, thank you for getting my problem is resolved.

Can't see anything in network in Win Explorer #2
I tried to answer the technology last July, but no response so to trigger this problem recently, I'm it reposting here.
Network Win Explorer shows nothing, including the local computer. Otherwise, the network works fine because Outlook on the affected computer can open the PST on the other computer, and the other computer can see the shared folders on the computer. Both are newly built Win 7 Pro SP1 machines. Updates are ongoing.
Yes - we have checked the settings sharing advanced and discovery network is on and all the other settings are good. No error message.
A technician responded with:

That and some how simply showed once again without knowing what caused the problem.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A month later, all items under Network disappeared again.
Network discovery is on.
Made a boot safe mode with networking and nothing comes in network in Win Explorer.
Other network connections work fine.
The affected computer can print to the network printer and open the PST to Outlook from the network. And another computer can see the shared folders on the computer.
As a solution, I traced the My Documents folder on the second computer by typing the path, and it worked. Of course the function go to map a drive showed nothing as part of Windows Explorer.
I had done a vast overhaul of the network, and I'm sure that we looked under network in Win Explorer because we changed the names of computers and fixed the Outlook profile so that customers could more easily identify which computer was.
Since it just happened again seemingly out of nowhere, we did a scan of this computer with MS Sec Essentials full virus/mw and found nothing.
Thank you

Impossible to get a glimpse of the tif to jpg files in Win Explorer 8
Before installing Design Std CS6 (not CC) and Acrobat Pro XI, I was able to preview jpg and tif files in the Explorer Windows 8 in one of the viewpoints (extra, Large, medium-sized icons) and in the preview pane. However, now I see that the icon of the program, no matter what application (P'shop or win a photo viewer) I associate it with. PDFs fine displays in preview win.
I know that I can listen to extracts in Bridge, but how to get back the ability to preview files jpg and goals in Win Explorer as well?
Well, the problem was solved: installing Adobe changed two Windows Explorer folder Options (view > Options > Folder Options: View tab)- always show icons, never thumbnails and icon file to display in the photos have been verified after installation, but not before (I hooked cloned HD I had done prior to installation to verify). I can now see the pictures (instead of program icons) in Win Explorer in various points of view (large icons, medium icons, etc.), as well as in the preview pane. Hallelujah!
Can't imagine why someone would want the icons of programs instead of the thumbnails - or why in $&! ^ % Adobe would cause this change to be made on the installation, but everything is back to normal and I'm a happy camper once more.
Thanks again for sticking with it, kglad - I really appreciate it! Hope this helps someone else. Detective Conan. ~ Carol

The single Win Explorer Navigation pane click on the name of the folder to expand the subfolders
In Win XP, you can even click on the folder name to develop the next level of subfolders.
In Win 7, it takes a double-click and the > is difficult to achieve.
What a pain. How can get fixed?
Other than replacing by another file manager.
Hello
I understand that you are facing difficulties during the expansion of the subfolders on the Windows Explorer Navigation pane. I understand the inconvenience.
You must expand the tree first and then do the following.
1. open WindowsExplorer.
2. expand and click on Tools folder options -->
3 in the navigation pane, select the check box to display all records and extend automatically to the current foldedr and click ok.
You can also follow the steps in the article.

I can see my mails in WIn Explorer but cannot import them
I drilled down to e-mail records stored in Carbonite and restored in a known location. I then tried to import records from tuberculosis, but there are only 3 files imported and all are empty. Records are RECORDS PREMISES, MAIL.COMCAST.NET AND POP3.COMCAST.NET. All of these files are empty. I tried several times with the same result. I really need those files! I use Win 8.1 and TB 24
