  I am designing a Web site, I use tables to organize my work/design. However whenever I type text in my table is rough and very unattractive. While the text I type outside the table is perfectly crisp and clear.

  Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Or an alternative?

  When you insert a table on your page, you are presented with the option to use (table headers). If you do not want to use them do not select this option.

• How to remove a line empty after an anchor of the table?

  We use FrameMaker 12 on Windows 7 (64-bit) platform.

  I'm working my way down to a chapter in the content of the training. I'm at halfway in the chapter, and - as fate would have - I need start a table at the top of a page.

  When I insert a table (with a caption/title at the top), FM creates an anchor at the top of the page. The space to the right of the anchor is a blank line.  In fact, I want the table to start at the top of the page without the white line to the right of the anchor.

  That's what I tried, with results:

  I put the cursor after the anchor and press DELETE.

  Result: The text * under * the table is set up above the table.

  I put the cursor after the last piece of text on the previous page and press DELETE.

  Result: The paragraph on the previous page Stoops to the next page on the top of the table, leaving a large empty space on the previous page.

  I change the start option (Table Designer) at the top of the column (or the top of the Page).

  Result: FM leaves the anchor where she was, move the table until the next page and leaves a completely blank page where the table used to be.

  Is it possible to just go up the table so that it is on the same line as the anchor?

  (And as a design tool problem, is there ALWAYS a reason why a content developer wants a complete line of vacuum over a table?)

  Assuming that your para anchor has a spacing of X:

  • In the Paragraph Designer set it for tea by anchor, base: space: below the FMP: -x
  • In the table designer for the table, set the base: space: above: -x

  A series of tables not run-together, sure. But the hack of negative space above there are quite often do suggests a design control.

  I have a script that checks a folder for the files contained in a table format image.

  I have to be able to warn the user if:

  1. a folder they choose contain any type of file not included in the table (illegal file type).
  2. the folder they choose more than one file type included in the table (mixed types of legal files).

  or

  3. the folder they choose contains any type of file, not in the table more one type of file that is in the table (mix of types of illegal & legal files).

  Here's the code that checks through a folder for certain types of files.

  For now I have sort of reached part 1 but it is messy because it simply checks if DARKfileList is empty. Can I use this to alert the user that the file that they choose in a vacuum, but I would much prefer another search for "types of illegal files" it's checking the empty list:

  It's weird, it was not the subfolder thing this morning, when I tried, but I added a few lines to make sure that the files are only of the parent folder.

• Add the header of each subsequent page outside the table

  I'm working on a report and when a new page is needed for the VP he is grouped on, it does not print their name on the top of the next page. It is not part of the table that is a nested group. How I'd get their name to repeat at the top of each page?

• Flash paper is displayed outside the Table

  I'm sure this has smething like object tags and the upgrade of IE, but I can't understand it! I have a Flash Paper content that should appear in the center of the page. It very well in FireFox, but in IE, it appears off the table in the lower left corner. What I need to change so that IE will see correctly? Other paper Flash site pages appear fine in IE. What is the problem with this page?

  Just fixed it, but I do not remember how! I found a line of additional script code in the HEAD and deleted. That seemed to do the trick, but I not save the code to be able to post here. Sorry!

• Problem with text table: text align to the left in the table

  I can't try to get the text to align inside a table. I'm working on a document that has the body text indented to 12 mm. I discovered that the left of the table corresponds to the tabs and it remains fixed on the marks of the tab. I managed to get the first row of the table to align the text of body outside of the table and the table is positioned how want it to be, but I can't get the rest of the text to align with the first line. Here is a screenshot of the problem:

  

  I did it by changing the removal of paragraph to 12 mm and by changing the withdrawal of first line to 12 mm. I've been fiddling with the tabs and other settings, but I can't not all aligned text. Is there a way to align it all without creating a separate or rectangle text box?

  Thanks for your help. I just found out that I was using a paragraph style just outside the table who had no hyphen, and it prevented me to rethink the table. Your method worked, but only in the document with examples I showed you. (I did separate because I work on the project of sensitive information) and when I pasted in my working paper, the table is always aligned to the left margin. I then checked the paragraph mark immediately after the table, and there was my problem. I just changed the paragraph style to the same as the outside of the body text. This caused the table to align the body text without affecting the text inside the table.

• How to create a grid with the tables and Boolean values?

  As part of a larger project, I'm trying to create a Subvi, which will allow me to spend a "cursor" in a 3 x 3 matrix.

  It should be 2 Boolean inputs, one for move them down in the table and the other to move them to the right. Once reached the edge of the table, the "cursor" will start back at the beginning.

  I have a vague idea of a table to 2 dimensions with LED. Once 'down' has been selected, the corresponding light to (0,0), light (0.1). Goes the same for the button 'right '. When 'down' is pressed (0.2), the LED should turn off, and LED (0,0) must light up.

  I'm sure it has something to do with the initialization of the tables, but I can't seem to find the right way to do it.

  Your array is always empty.  Look at the detailed help for the function page replace table subset.  He says that the function has no effect if the specified index refers to a location outside the table.

  What you see on the Panel is only a view and has nothing to do with what is in the table.

  I have a table inside the table, I have 2 Date.MinValue i.e startdate and enddate. The necessary should be fired in the click of a button, apart from the table record.

  For each line, there is a date of start and enddate.

  Scenario1:

  StartDate = null. end date = null. When the click on save the date must be recorded and no message validation should be triggered when the click on the button Save. (It works fine).

  Scenario2:

• Strange behavior of the cursor to the row in the table

  I use JD Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.5.0 on Weblogic 11.1.1.5

  I have page JSPX in taskflow bounded to view history records in the table.

  DB table is simply with a single primary key and number of columns.

  On the page, I show only little of them (Date, user, Rec.Number and State).

  When I open this dialog box with records that hold these documents

  I see highlighted records with status = 1. Click on any record highlighting disappears and when I try to move the cursor down through the cursor of the keyboard (arrow keys) Stoops (pressing "down") until that record 3rd then skip (press 'down' key) 2nd record and repeat this. When I try to move the top slider to 5th/4th then folder and back loop.

  When I leave the body of the table and click outside the table then highlighting appears again.

  If I show only records State = 1 then all records are highlighted and the cursor jumps between 2nd and 5th record.

  ADF table is created simply by dragging and dropping of DataControl with RowSelection simple =, rowBandingInterval = 0, filterVisible = "true".

  I can find no reason for this kind of behavior.

  Please help me understand what can be the reason of this madness.

  It is not necessary to write your own selctionListener. All you have to do is to add an attributeValue column in the section of the pageDef binding.
  One of the ways to do this is to drag the VO, you used for the table and drop it on the page as a form of ADF (you can use only one form to read if you do not plan to change values). This will create the bindings for all the values of columns in the row selected in the pageDef. Now, as you do not need the form, switch to source mode and remove all fields do ' t you need the page. This leaves the links in the pageDef, but remove the unnecessary page visual fields.
  Now when you select a row in the table, that the framework will load the values in the row in the attributeValues wherever you can easily access it.

  I do not ask questions on the forums because the answers should be obvious and intuitive (and I've been through the tutorials), but I have trouble finding something intuitive about Dreamweaver and Flash, and aid is useless as usual.
  
  I use Dreamweaver 8 Design view and trying to get rid of the spacing around objects that have been inserted in the outside tables or table cells. For example, I have a few buttons Flash that I inserted in a table column, one in each cell, and I put cellpad, cellspace, and border to zero so that there is no visible space between buttons in design mode. When I look at the representation of the EI of the page by pressing F12, spaces appear as if by magic such as my buttons are miles away.
  
  If I place my buttons outside the table one under the other, looks like it's double spaced which I cannot find how to remove and I have the same end result - miles from the space between the buttons.
  
  In general, the configuration of table cell seems to have a mind of your own and I thought that I had under control suddenly springs apart with borders of row and column line in all directions, never to be separated. It's driving me crazy, and I would be so grateful for a patient soul to put me on the right track. I don't want to design my pages according to the wishes of the table! No doubt that I could guddle with html code, but I'm on a schedule tight and don't have a few weeks to devote to this subject.

  1. some people not having Flash installed - what are doing?
  2. the motors don't parse Flash links - your site will not be spidered
  3. the display of the devices and accessories functional don't parse links Flash - which users will be

• Drop-down menu used with anchor on the long table of data links

  I have a page on our site where we used a drop shape with anchor tags to let the visitor easy access to specific locations within a long table of data on the same page. Recently, I noticed that the anchors are walking around is no longer the tags in the page but only the beginning of the table anyway. I don't know if over time a few additional codes may have been added to the page that is not in conflict with the form of drop down menu, or if it's something else. I've been agonizing about this for awhile now and unable to fix. I'm hoping a new set of eyes will revisit the issue. the url is http://www.vectron.com/products/saw/saw.htm

  Looks like there are a good number of errors html on this page, some of them have to do with using the code of the named anchor.

  Looks like you have placed the anchors between the openingand the child of the opening. Content cannot go there, move them in theTags and see if that helps.

  It could be something else however, html errors are one of the main causes of the problems of display/functionality. Visit the validator to http://validator.w3.org to clean up your errors. If you work with the code clean and correctly positioned anchors, after return and we can take a closer look.

• Graphics as of valid items in the tables

  I am a Framemaker book structured with some of the chapters have tables with graphics in them. However, the system does not recognize the graphics in the cells of table as valid elements. Anyone out there have any ideas?

  It is the rules in your EDD. Graphics (specifically, anchored frames) can certainly in the tables, as long as your structure definition says. As I don't make ESD, I can't offer much more assistance, other than to say that it is possible and the rules resemble graphic standards anywhere elsewhere in a structured workflow.

• in writing the new value to the table, do not change the scroll position

  I have a program that writes a new value to a chart of every minute.  (The x axis is time).  I show the last weeks of a data value in the graph, but I also axis scroll bar visible so that users can scroll back to see the previous weeks.  The problem is that if they have scrolls in a few weeks and the graphical update of one minute that happens, the graph jumps at the present time (week last of the watch).  Is it possible to have the table simply stay put even when when a new value is written for her?

  I believe you can use the property of 'Reporter Panel updated' to achieve this.  Set the property to TRUE on a mouse of the user enter event of the chart in order to prevent the update of the table while the user moves the scroll.  Set it to false on mouse leave. I tried the same thing with a mouse to the bottom/mouse event, but it does not behave as expected.  You can PLAY autour with different events to see what works the best, but this basic technique should work.  Take a look at the attached screenshot for details.
