I often use in Mission control, so I know not being able to see the thumbnail of the available screens can be useful. I'm happy to help you to get this resolved with you.

  You did a great job trying to fix this problem yourself. First, I recommend that you test the problem in safe mode. Boot in safe mode allows your Mac perform certain controls, delete the cache and prevent the opening and start-up items to open automatically. Follow the steps below to start in safe mode.

  1. Start or restart your Mac.
  2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
  3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

  To simplify my question, let's say I have an online catalogue that will have only 5 items items (so 5 thumbnails). There will be a SINGLE target (larger) frame displays the selected item, then a confirmation button. Once the thumbnail is selected, the thumbnail appears in the wider (pretty easy so far). But what I would like is that a shape (or email) is generated that will warn me of the element selected when the Confirm button is selected.

  In other words, the customer chooses what paint they want by clicking on the thumbnail. It is confirmed as an expansion under the tile. Once they click (maybe) a confirmation button, an email is generated describing the selection (in this case it is probably a code associated with the image - like "mountainstream003"
