Graphics card noise

2 or 3 months ago I replaced the 'grahpics card"because of the noise.  A new 'map' has been provided free of charge.  Have now, once again, the noise.  Can I get another card, or should I buy one myself?

You must contact the manufacturer or the retailer.

    Hello

Is there another URL where I can get a version update of Toshiba Power Saver for my computer drivers laptop Satellite A100 PSAARE other than the home page?

It seems that it is not determinative of CPU fan (he always keep at maximum speed).

Also, I noticed the graphics (GeForce 7600) too loud.

If the monitor is off I can't hear it (just the CPU fan), but as soon as I started working it is audible and as a continuous beep kid.

Is there a (software/hardware) fix for this?

    Kind regards.

    Hello

The European driver of Toshiba page is one place where you can get the drivers and tools for your European Satellite A100 PSAARE model.
This time it s a v7.03.07.I Power Saver for Windows Vista!

But I must say that I see no problem of software on your laptop.
Cooling modules and fans have to run with higher performance to make sure that your hardware components may be cooled properly.

Maybe a cooling module cleaning might help to improve the internal cooling and noise reduction.
From time to time, I clean my fans for laptop using compressed air stream and the fans are running more silent.

    Hello

GTX590 requires a minimum 700 watts!    Are you sure have the right graphics card model?

I think you meant the Geforce 9500 that has a history of failures of the fan and noise.

The link provided for you at erico has some excellent older card choices.

If you want a newer model of the card, then this PNY GT 440 1 GB would be a very good choice.  This card also supports the most recent version of Directx 11 If you ever wish to use this software.

  • Rattling noise - the graphics card or power supply?

    Hey guys,.

I've had my HP Pavilion Elite m9300t for almost 1 year now. About half of that time, I had to deal with the annoying rattle noise that I attributed to one of the fans in the case. Unfortunately, my PC is equipped with GeForce 9500GS formidable card (with the black cover) and so noise, while annoying, is not surprising. The rattling noise has been stronger and more widespread during initialize and not significantly lower over time.

But now I have an another problem and I'm not sure if the two are related. Now, the sounds rattling calms down (no noise whatsoever) and in 20-30 seconds, the screen empty... similar to the computer goes into mode 'sleep'. More funny thing is, the PC is set to operate at full capacity and therefore the 'sleep' mode. This problem started occurring 4 weeks ago and happen once a few days ago. Now, I am unable to work for more than 5 minutes after the initial upward boot before the screen turns off.

I concluded (don't know if I'm right or not, where my post here) I have a power supply issue. The PC came stock with a 350W power supply, but I don't know if my linked overuse of heat damage on the motherboard or the power supply failure. I work with software music production and large audio files 70-80% of the time and the PC stays on for long periods. I am aware that these applications are stressful, but I'm not sure whether or not they can cause the types of symptoms that I described.

So basically I guess what I'm asking is the following; is my problem, a graphics card or POWER supply number or both? Then based on the advice given, I would also like to know what the next step is to get my PC to 100%.

Thanks in advance for the help.

If your PC still work with a white screen, I would check the video card first, especially since you did not get the new & improved version

Try to isolate the problem step by step, the PSU isn't necessarily the problem as the system is in place.

  • MacBook Pro 2014 - failure of the graphics card for the 2nd time in 2 years - no guarantee

    Hi all

end of 2014, I bought a new 13 inch Retina Display MacBook Pro mid 2014 model (A1502, EMC2875). A few months later, the graphics card has failed - no obvious reason. Apple replaced. Now, the graphics card has not yet. Still, the mac worked perfectly well (no overheating of the noise, nothing) and all of a sudden - no understandable reason or external actions, the graphics card has failed. Unfortunately, I do not have a guarantee of more. At least, I can access my documents by connecting two Macs, so I hope that the material is not affected.

My model (1502) apparently only has a single integrated graphics processor.

    My questions:

    • After some research, I discovered that Apple used to have these problems with the 2011 edition. They have implemented a replacement program. Does anyone know sth on this subject?
    • What graphics card would you recommend? How much such a graphics card? Where could I buy a cheap?

Of course, I don't want to reuse the same type - guess I don't have to explain how @* #&! I'm after two times the same problem within two years after the purchase of a brand new MacBook Pro...

I would appreciate any recommendations and links!

    Best regards

    Rahel

-As you say, your Mac model uses the graphics processor integrated in the CPU chip. So, there are ios no replacement possible. The CPU is soldered to the logic board

-The problem with the 2011 MacBook Pro was with the discreet Nvidia, not the graphics unit integrated in the CPU graphics unit.

-When you went to an Apple store just says the genius of APple?

This is the Office Mac Pro forum. I asked that your post be moved to the MacBook Pro laptop.

  • Satellite A350D-10Y - failure of the external graphics card?

    Hello guys,.

I have a toshiba Satellite A350D-10Y and I get some sounds of the sound system of the laptop, but a kind of Mermaid on the mother, accompanied by lights driver dvd, map emitte acoustics is two short beeps. I'm getting these two short beeps loops within a period of 5 seconds +-.

I downloaded a video for you, to listen to the sound emitted by the MB, in the end you can hear better because you get less noise from the cpu fan:

Feature of the motherboard: ATI external graphics card

    Things I've done:
-Remove the battery and try to put on without it.
-Switch of RAM on the slot a RAM
-Clean cpu fan one its exhaust
-Change is the motherboard on a new

Now, the problem was taken up to, or is the processor or the external graphics card.

I think that the problem of the graphics card, because if these was a problem of the processor, I'd get the audio system of the laptop beeps and not a buzzer next to the MB.

    Can anyone here help me?

From my point of few it of not possible to say what s wrong with the laptop without running certain diagnostic tests and check the part.

The often shorter and emits a beep when turning procedure appears due to the POST (power on self-test) failure.

This essential POST routine determines the available memory real quantity and checks for the presence of required hardware components.
In case one of the hardware components would be defective, the power on self test could not be transmitted correctly and the laptop would begin to create some beeps.

If you are sure that the modules of memory so that the card mother isn't affected, then one of the pieces referred to as CPU / GPU can be the troublemaker.

  • Qosmio F30-111 - graphics card problem

    Hello

My laptop does not show any other resolution than the usual text resolutions (starting).
The laptop is almost useless with this problem.

The problem occurred when playing a computer game in the resolution of 1280 x 800 regular graph (for windows).
The screen went black, but has no power lost. I had to restart from power button / stop.

Windows XP (from toshiba) gives a blue screen after the splash screen during startup.
Also, I have Linux and Xorg reports a fatal error when starting driver NVIDIA, so I cannot use the computer in mode terminal linux, no X mode. But I can still use Linux mode of expression and access to all files.

When I start the screen also has a strange color mode. In text mode, many letters is brighter than others. This happens in installation mode and Terminal in Linux mode.

Other strange things things I noticed recently, that is the FAN makes noise more now due to the temperature higher CPU (2 to 3 weeks).
Sometimes reaching 100aº C (which has never happened before). In recent months, the laptop was still in the Office at home.

I bought the computer round of June 2007, is still under warranty (2 years in the Portugal), and I registered it on the toshiba site.
Currently, I live in Poland. Can I retrieve my warranty in Poland and try to solve the problem here? (I'm Portuguese).

    Hello

Looks like the graphics card began to malfunction.
Therefore, you must contact the ASP as soon as possible.

I think that you can contact the ASP in Poland to help him, because all laptops are covered at least 1 year international limited warranty carry-in.
As the name says it of a international warranty and if the warranty is valid the ASP in Poland should be able to help.

  • HP PAVILION P7-1155: p7-1155 graphics card with hdmi

I need to replace the graphics card for my machine to my hd tv hdmi output. I received a link to a forum that took me to newegg expert. There, I was overwhelmed for choice. I looked at a few of these, as well as comments. PNY cards seem to have a good rep, but I'm not sure. I want one that gives result excellent for my panasonic plasma and also has a conn vga for an old pc that I use occasionally, as well as a DVI to my primary monitor (ACER LED). I want also to capacity dual monitor.

I'm not in the game, but I want good graphics. Low power is necessary also for that area (P7-1155). I think that this box is 250 watts. I'm confused about the amount of memory it must have (1 g, 2 g). If I could get a couple of good choices for graphics cards, I'd be happy. Looking at all the choices gave me a headache. I am running windows 7 Home Edition.

Maybe there's an ideal choice among them all, but that is deceiving me. Anyone with a few entries on it even better every obvious choice or stupidity would be useful.  I'm going through my dvr then go out on television.

I don't want to make a mistake here, so I need expert advice. I would prefer a free fan, since many of the comments talk about fan noise. I like to keep the cost less than a hundred, but I don't want no exaggeration either.

I would like to deal with NCIX.ca because I'm here because of their return policy and the Canada.

Hi Skanter - just saw this message-hope it comes in time

I had this problem with mine - it was also to achieve 90degC. It is caused by a really poorly designed cooling system - the fins of the radiator are locked behind a metal shield and the fan blows into it.

What you need to do is: -.

    (1) turn off and unplug everything from the PC

    (2) open the side panel and disconnect the audio cables and power of GPU

    (3) remove the mobo

    (4) with the help of a tiny posidrive screwdriver, unscrew the thin metal cover of heat sink

    (5) use a brush to remove all the dirt you may see! DO NOT BLOW IT OUT WITH YOUR BREATH!

    (6) reassemble and hopefully enjoy the silence!

If you still get the noise the chances are some dust penetrated fan (this happened to me when I used compressed air to blow the heat sink). Replacement fans are as rare as horse poop to switch I could not even one of the original manufacturer (path to the bottom of the chain - don't expect any help from Dell or nVidia here, I'm afraid) but are thankfully easy to fix.

    GTS 240 fan fix: -.

I do memory-sorry if I get something slightly wrong!

    (1) remove a map as shown above. Once the radiator fan cover will be exposed.

    (2) very gently, using a pair of small screwdrivers hanging under the blower rotor, gently lift the rotor clear of the case. He doesn't want to go at first, but be patient and try and apply steady pressure on each side.

    3) out of the bearing once clean any muck-it only takes a small amount here because of the noise.

    4) applied with a headset, a tiny (and I mean tiny) bit of WD40 (don't know what this is called in the United States-but it's a wonder spray!) for the bearing

    (5) wipe off - you'll need that the strict residue on the tree

    (6) reassemble and get started!

If you are worried about prising off the rotor (or indeed I was wrong) you can undo the radiator all of PCB by unscrewing the screws with springs on them - this allows access to the screw bit to hold the fan. Then you can cancel these abd slide the cable out which means that you can clean the bottom - but the rotor must always be removed to lubricate the bearings.

    Good luck

    Nick

  • Best game for pc graphics card

    Hello

Please, I want to know what is the best graphic card game for pc. Help plssss...

Where to buy a card from the tip look closely dimensions. Sometimes, they are so big that they fit into your box. With the high-end models, you will find that their capacity is much greater than any current games can use. They are not for today's games, that they are made to provide graphical resources at future games. 2 big graphics card brands are GeForce and Radeon. Some players will tell you that GeForce is the way to go, while others swear Radeon cards are the best. I recommend trying to meet your needs to the card stats and ignoring the brand.

Video Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 ATI card

Sapphire uses the ATI Stream technology that accelerates even the most demanding applications. This card is also able to fully support DirectX 11 from Microsoft. It uses cutting-edge technology to improve performance. This includes 2 GB/512-bit GDDR5 memory interface advanced 40nm technology, 2nd generation engine TeraScale, 2.0 PCI bus interface x 16. These features improve performance by providing the best speed. It also uses the dynamic power for efficient use of resources. This is done through the ATI PowerPlay Technology.

    ZOTAC GeForce GTX 480

Zotac is the flagship NVIDIAvideo card. Zotac uses cinematic effects advanced as the blur of movement and depth of field. All of these factors combine to produce a 3D world that is very realistic. This effect is further reinforced the NVIDIA® PhysX™ effects. Phys NVIDIA on this card runs at twice the speed of previous models. The only problem with this card is heat management. Which means that the work of fan 100% at all times and produces a lot of noise. This can be a bit irritating. The cooling water can be used to get rid of the problem. The combination of excellent features offer incredible performance and graphics. The ray traced rendered 3D allows realistic images. Anti-aliasing high speed guarantees that all the jagged edges are smoothed out.

  • Graphics card error?

Hey people. I looked at a bunch of YouTube lately but once that 15 seconds in the video from my computer completely froze making a noise loud my caps lock key would not even light up, the latter on a minute, and then it stops thaws all resume as if nothing happened. What is my graphics card? I have a Toshiba satellite I'm on a cracked version of windows 7 home premium 32 bit, I have 2 GB of ram, an Intel (r) Celeron (r) CPU 900 2.20 GHz 2.19 GHz. That's about all.
I have a cracked version of windows 7 is because
I was originally under windows 7 64-bit HP(home premium), I've upgraded to windows 8 preview release (big mistake! a month later I finally got a version of windows 7 Home premium, I was so happy, I have supported all my important information on a flash drive installed windows 7 and found it was a 32-bit crapping.)

I'd say it's the cracked version of Windows.  Replace it with a legitimate version and see if the problem persists.  Contact the manufacturer of your PC for a restore or recovery disk set.

  • New graphics card = CPU fan speed is going mental

Recently, I bought a HP p6319uk and received a Sapphire Radeon 5870 as a gift. I bought a new power supply (Corsair TX-850) and install two components yesterday. Now, whenever the PC is turned on, the CPU fan seems to work to full skin and noise is simply too hard to use the device comfortably. The machine also seems to work very well.

I was check autour online and most of these sorts of problems seem to be resolved via the BIOS, but I checked it (after downloading the latest version) and I don't see all the settings that involve fans.

    Help?

    Rick

Are you sure that the fan noise is the CPU fan?  It could be the GPU fan you hear.  I would try to remove the new graphics card first.  If the noise is still there, then try the PS.  One of those new things may have changed the way the system works.  If the noise is still there, take a look at the junction between the CPU and the heatsink.  It could be the heat sink has been moved or dislodged when the other components have been changed. And it is causing the thermal sensor on the processor to ask for more cooling, because it's hot.

  • Recommendations for a new graphics card for Prem Pro 2014 (Windows) which offers the Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration?

    Hello.

I am inclined to believe that I could take advantage of GPU acceleration when editing as my PC is a little under spec. I have a card but when I switch to the GPU acceleration, it works but whenever I stop moving / play / rub on the timeline the preview screen becomes black.

I don't know who might be the best card to get for my reqs. I don't think I put great demands on the software, but it still hurt. Most of my editing is the lengthy interviews 3-10 min. 2 camera multi-camera editing. I still need to change the curves of RGB, corrector of three way color, transitions and sometimes careful noise reduction. One of these leaves of evil from my PC. All the usual titles, music & voice etc. but nothing too heavy like movies or the insertion of a lot of video lines.

I'm also a little casual work in After effects too.

    PC spec is:

Intel Xeon CPU 1.86GHz (2 processors)

12 GB of RAM, which I'll update to 16 GB

    64-bit op system

    Windows 7

    Radeon HD 5450 graphics card.

Any guidance would be most appreciated

Thanks for the link. Had a look. Needs a long look later as some useful knowledge contained in there. It refers to the CS6 so maybe info is not accurate enough, now for 2014, but good for me to learn more about graphics cards compared to the edition.

    1. CS6 was the basis for a large part of the PPBM7.com site, it has been updated with lots of new data.  The single point of reference on this site in the three versions of the same identical scenario download and is perfectly usable for CS6, CC (7 first) and CC2014 (first 8).  Run and sign up to see the results.
    2. If my assumption on your exact model of the CPU is just a new processor i7 with 4 cores is better than your two Xeons 4 strands because they have no hyperthreading.
    3. You cannot compensate for low performance CPU with a new GPU.
