  I did a backup disk on a cd rom before I restored my computer to its factory condition, I put my photos, music and etc! • Photos of El Capitan crashes during the preparation of library

  I'm on an iMac 27 "(fin 2012) and improved 10.8 to El Capitan."  I have a library huge iphoto (211 GB).  The upgrade went well except for the pictures.  When I try to import my iPhoto library it crashes 50%.  I searched this problem and tried all of the suggestions that I could find without help.  I've updated the iPhoto (9.6.1) application and my library seems fine here.  I ran repair permissions, rebuild the thumbnails, database repair and rebuild the database on my iPhoto library and it always stops at 50% when you try to load in pictures.  I don't know what else to try!  Any other suggestions out there?  Thank you!  Sheri.

  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  If you select that right click menu context then you block all images from this area and not a specific image, so do not use that.

  • Check exceptions in tools > Options > content: Load Images > Exceptions (for example sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net)

  You can use the following steps to check if the images are blocked:

  • Open the web page that has the missing images in a browser tab.
  • Click the site favicon (How do I know if my connection to a Web site is secure?) on the left end of the address bar.
  • Click on the "More information" button to open the "Page Info" with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "tools > Page Info").
  • Go to the Media of the window tab "tools > Page Info.
  • Select the first link of the image and scroll down through the list with the arrow down.
  • If an image in the list is grayed out and there is a check mark in the box "block Images of..." and remove this mark to unlock the images from this area.

  is it possible to choose a still image as an image of the cover for a completed film?

  At the moment it seems to randomly select a photo, I do not know how, but I'd like to have a specific image as the cover of the movie. How do I do that?

  Hi, thlmuc,

  This has been discussed in other threads, with a few proposed solutions or workarounds.

  Apparently iMovie selects the image in the middle of the line of time as the cover photo.  So, you can find one and adjust to another image in its place or maybe add a black background at the end of the film so that the original

  cover photo is not in the middle.   Very uncomfortable be sure.

  A poster offered a solution, which I think works.   When you click on 'file sharing', a pop up comes up with your settings, as well as a vid screen options.  Place your pointer on the video screen and drag horizontally to display the photos in your vid.  Stop on the one you want as your coverage and then share the movie.  I had mixed results with it, but sometimes it works, and the picture or frame you have selected will be the cover.   I found that you cannot select the last picture or it will come back to the first picture when shared.    I hope it works for you.  Nothing to lose, I guess.  Good luck with that.

• Bad rendering of Facebook Timeline-cover photo in Firefox version 9.0.1

  Greetings,

  Facebook Timeline cover photo seems to make very wrong in Firefox. The picture looks blurry.
  The problem has been there since coverting my profile and persists with Firefox 9.0.1.
  The picture is made with adequate dimensions (850x315px).
  I tried to download jpg/gif/png, interlaced / (.. .but Facebook converts to jpg).
  No problems with other browsers.
  If I copy the location of the image, and load the image in a new tab, it seems very well (.. .this which makes me believe that the problem is with the way Firefox handles CSS?).
  Tried to uninstall/reinstall Firefox...
  Tried to disable the color management (topic: config).
  Viewed > > Zoom > > reset.

  Any help appreciated.

  You can check in tools > Page Info > media if the images are resized.
  
  Also be sure that you're not zoom pages, so reset the zoom of page on pages that are causing problems.

  All the themes have at least one photo on the cover.  You will need to insert a photo showing a background as the cover photo to get coverage with only text.

  Here's a possibility... go to... Start ORB / Control Panel.
  Folder options / tab / files and folders / uncheck
  "Always show icons, never thumbnails" / apply / OK.

  I suggest to follow the steps provided and check if it helps.

   

  Method 1: Try to boot in safe mode and check if the same problem occurs.

  If the issue does not exist in Mode safe mode then try to put your computer in a clean boot state.

  However, after I deleted my old cover photo, I pick up a new photo on my computer. I can't find a way to choose a cover from the already uploaded images and in the project photo.

  I was wondering the same thing and I think I found a solution for this. If you go to the project page - project to change content, after the editor has been loaded, you have a small black rectangle in the bottom of the page, content, coverage, parameters, overview, updated project. When you click on the cover, you can actually choose your new coverage among the images already uploaded from your project. I hope that helped. I don't understand why you're not able to do it from your gallery page, it is somewhat confusing and I hope it will pass portfolio team.

  For me it looks like you are trying to download the thumbnail image and not the actual image.

  Download them using the method in the screenshots in this link: I downloaded my 10 free images and they all have the Adobe watermark on them, so I can't use them. Why do they have a watermark on them?
