  You can use the Ctrl key and then click with the regular selection tool, clicking with ctrl will make a new keyframe. in this way, have no need for the tools. CTRL has other great shortcuts that will stop you having to spend retouching pads tools too.

  If the automation keyframe line is missing, you can switch on and off in the menu sequence.

  I fear this is how it works (imagine your movement (part of) the lasso loop).

  For your purpose, you can better off ShiftClicking/ShiftClickDragging with the selection direct tool, hold Alt/Option If you want to catch all paths.

  Hi people, working on a poster in Illustrator. Added the type of area, using the text tool. Now I would like to increase the size of a single line. I can't select or change any type with the text tool. I have moved into a new layer, registered, closed type Illustrator, restarted my Mac (OS X 10.7.4).) Looked in preferences, in which case there is a problem. No luck.

  Furthermore, I don't see two handles when selecting the tool more. Don't know if that is related.

  I know this is an old issue and I've complained about this over and over. In CS5 I can select several paths and then, using the pencil tool, freely change paths without losing the multi-path selection. It is a great way to tweak a form of paint. CC (2014), it is no longer possible (at least on Mac). Technical support Adobe told me once he was a Bug "Mac admits. Can someone tell me if this feature was "set in CC 2015? Unfortunately, Adobe doesn't bother to fix bugs in the 'old' version They drive just a new version.

  This small function is of the main reasons that I refuse to CS5 to let die on my computer. If this is fixed, I would consider 'redeveloped' to 2015 CC.

• Lasso tool polygon binding angles trying to add to the selection with the SHIFT key

  Since upgrading (downgrading?) of Photoshop CS6 Extended Photoshop CC I have a problem with the lasso tool of polygon limited at certain angles when you try to add to a selection.

  Here's the scenario, I select a color background with the magic wand tool, then I would like to add a few things to the selection, so I click on the polygon lasso tool and hold the SHIFT key to add to the playlist and then start to use the polygon lasso tool... often very randomly the polygon lasso tool will limit his movements to a 90 degree angle Sometimes something that seems like an angle of 30 degrees and sometimes he'll do any.

  I'm doing something wrong or is this a bug?

  The SHIFT key has two functions in the creation of a selection.  The first is as you know to add to any selection using another selection tool.  The second is forced to angles in drawing and selection, but also rotation tools.  So for your example, you have to hold down the SHIFT key when you click on to add to your selection using the polygon lasso tool, but after making the first click with the tool, Photoshop knows that you want to add to the selection.  So do not hold the SHIFT key after the first click, otherwise Photoshop assumes that you also want to compel the angles drawing of your choice.  (Unless that's what you really want to)

  I'd like to know how to choose an image (logo for that matter), that has gaps in it, with the lasso tool while still making the selection even if that makes sense for you!

  Holding alt/opt will subtract from a selection, shift will add to a current selection.

  In CS4, I used to be able to zoom / zoom in cropping out something with the lasso tool. But in CS5, it doesn't let me do. How to enable that?

• Help with the lasso and auto smoothing...

  I must have done something by mistake - all of a sudden when I make a selection with my lasso tool, click on out of her, photoshop automatically smooths my selection (makes it smooth as in an oval or circle, ignoring my detailed selection).  How to remedy this situation, or disable auto-smoothing (?)?  Thanks for any help you can give.

  Set the value of the pen to a few or zero in the options bar.

• The Lasso tool selection is reversed when I click on refine edge

  I used the lasso tool to make a selection of foreground of a picture, but when I click on refine edge, the selected area appears in the background.  I tried clicking on reverse before I clicked on refine edge, & he's still hurt.  What I am doing wrong - why is - what happens?

  OK, Bob. This give a try.

  First, open a new file and make sure the background is white, not on Transparent that I suspect you have currently defined.

  

  Then, type your copy. Your layers panel will then look like the top of this picture...:

  

  and when you drag the text on the image layer, it will look like the lower part of the sample above.

  I'm afraid that you have come across the Rectangle Live bug, which is limited to MAC versions starting from 10.7 and 10.8, but not 10.9 (Mavericks), see this thread linked below.

  Thus, a switch for the Mavericks with a reinstall might be the way to solve it here and now.

  To get around it, in each case, it is possible to develop direct Rectangles to get the normal old shaped rectangles or Pathfinder > unit, or use the scale tool.

  I have created a selection to the ellipse, and click Help on the paths button not the shape layer and took the direct selection to change the shape by adjusting the handles. Now, I wanted to go back and make this ellipse shape a selection. How do I do that?

  I created a layer above the layer of the ellipse and created clouds by filter. Now, I want to make the ellipse layer below a selection to set the cloud layer above just the ellipse on the layer below.

  Also at the bottom of the palette drawn there is an icon that will load the selected as a selection path.  It is also a tool of elliptical selection under the Rectangle tool in the tool palette.  In my package of shares crafts there is a Photoshop plug-in that will make rectangular and elliptical selections of aspect ration.  My Photoshop packages can be downloaded from http://www.mouseprints.net/Photoshop.html

  with regard to the lasso tool: it can be done indirectly.

  Make a selection using any selection tool, and then use the option "pen" to soften the edges of your selection.
