  By default, LR saves all changes in the catalog, and that applies to any type of file.

  Optionally, you can save changes to the file as well, for raw files owners, this will create a xmp file - for DNG that changes are going to be cooked in the file, without additional xmp file.

  But it does not default. Go to the catalog and parameters under the control of metadata automatically save changes to XMP.

  Unless you do this, the changes are saved only in the catalog.

  You will need to borrow an installation disc to a former operating system Microsoft - Windows 95, 98 or me. There is no way around it. If person don't you know is an older drive, you can borrow for a few minutes, you will need, you will need to either buy a copy full XP or take the unit to a local computer professional to do the XP installation for you.   I'm having a problem loading and using my Adobe Photoshop CS3. This is the third time that I use this forum. I us a PC. The operating system is "Microsoft Windows 7 Home prem". All my software works except my Photoshop CS3, which I use most. I loaded the software disc and download online. First of all, I can't open my camera RAW (I can with my Lightroom software, but not with my Photoshop software?). So I can't open any of my files of digital camera? Second, I can open a .jpeg file and use the Photoshop software and I can save the changes, but when I turn off my calculated the software doesn't seem to be on my computer.
