    Hi Julenile,

Thanks for the post.   It seems that you have a problem with the settings of graphics card. Please answer the following questions, it will help us in the right direction.

Do you know what brand and model of video card you have?

Find the name of your video card is, and then go to the manufacturer website and download the latest driver for this video card. Make sure you get one that corresponds to your version of Windows 7.

Most video cards have some type of control panel of their own which are accessible by right-clicking anywhere on the desktop. But without knowing what you have the video card, we cannot really talk about hardware acceleration.

Should the adapter or the video card supports hardware acceleration and if the appropriate drivers must be installed.   If your graphics (video device) enables hardware acceleration, you can read the following steps to enable hardware acceleration.

    a. Click Start, click Control Panel.

    b. double-click personalization and select display settings.

    c. click on Advanced settings.

    d. click change settings on the Troubleshooting tab.

    e. move the Hardware Acceleration slider to Activate.

    f. click apply and then click OK to accept the new setting and close the dialog box.

    g. click OK to close the display properties dialog box.

    h. restart Windows.

    I hope this helps.

  • disabled hardware acceleration graphics ALT driver problem

The woman to buy an ASPIRE X 3400 to a friend with a HARD vacuum disc and no drivers CD.  Graphics card is a GeForce 315, 1024MB. We installed a new operating system ultimate WIN7, downloaded and installed all the X 3400 drivers Acer download site and everything seems to work well. However, if trying to play a simple card game, the following message shows up: hardware acceleration is disabled eaither or video card driver is not installed, then the movemnets game will be very slow (well, they are slow inendurably). Please activate hardware acceleration or install the graphics driver. Given that we have installed all the drivers in the driver from Acer site, am I right to assume that the problem is with the acceleration? If it is really off, how can afford him?

Nope, but is not a problem.

can you check under "graphics" Device Manager if your nvidia is listed?

  • Display driver to disable hardware acceleration

    I just download "total screen recorder' and the first thing is it me to disable hardware acceleration. Went to the settings and tried to do it but I was told I could not turn it off. He made this statement;
"Your current display driver does not allow changes need to be made to hardware acceleration settings.

What should I do? Download another driver, and if so where and what would I choose? I am running windows Vista Home Basic.

    Can someone please advise.

It is maybe that you don't have a choice in this matter. It depends on which allows Intel. It's pretty typical that they would allow him rather than him allowing not.
I think your driver just needs to be reinstalled.

If you access the Toshiba site and look for your specific model, it must only be a newer driver for Vista available.
Make sure that it is that of your specific operating system, such as 32-bit or 64-bit.

    Ladies and gentlemen,

I just clean installed Win 7 to replace Vista on my laptop Dell Inspiron 1720 (bought in 2008), and it went smoothly.

However, when I tried the game "Freecell", I got the message that hardware acceleration is not enabled on my video card driver.

As the indicated error hardware acceleration must be supported by the video card

the video device for the even more recent drivers. Do not assume because the Device Manager displays the

For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Video card driver and "hardware acceleration".

My monitor is constantly go dark and return a little later; image on and off, on and off the power and in and left and so on and so forth. Quite annoying because I can barely use my PC. It's like working with a strobe light!

Yesterday I received the message informing me that "hardware acceleration is disabled or not supported by the video driver...; to ensure that [I] have the driver of the last installed graphics card and that hardware acceleration is turned on."  Accordingly, I downloaded and installed the latest update from my PC video card driver.  But I don't know, could not find an explanation of what the "hardware acceleration" is; and I have not the slightest idea of what, precisely, do I "Enable hardware acceleration" option or whatever this thing can be.

Everyone out there can translate this message in clear and simple English and explain in simple terms how can I comply with these instructions?

Any suggestions, comments, advice, instructions, tips, advise or advice, you can provide to help me my ignorance on the matter, will certainly be very popular.

    Thank you

    ALV

If your monitor goes and out looks like it might be broken or maybe a bad connection.

If the problem just started to happen yesterday, what happened with the system yesterday?  Do you have a few Windows updates that may have included an update of the video driver - never a good thing for the driver updated from Microsoft.

Some graphics card have / have a kind of hardware acceleration settings and others do not.

You can check in an average point round by right click on your desktop, customize, change the display settings, display, advanced settings, on the advanced settings screen click on troubleshooting.

Of the Panel, the path would be:

    Control Panel-> display-> Change-> avancΘs-> troubleshooting display settings

If the change settings button is dimmed, you cannot set the acceleration:

The change settings button could also be grayed out if you have the wrong driver installed.

If you pouvez change the settings of the screen will look like this:

If the cursor is completely to the left (none) hardware acceleration is possible, but disabled/turned off so you can make an adjustment here (you may need to experiment with settings).

If you are unable to understand, you need to tell us what you have.

Follow these steps so that we can see what you have:

Click on the button/ORB start in the lower left corner of your screen. Or, press the button of your keyboard Windows logo.

    In the type box:

    Msinfo32

Select / click msinfo32.exe and the system information dialog box opens.

Click System summary, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and then paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here in your next reply.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) feedback here.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

  • HP Pavilion 500-267C: hardware acceleration is disabled or not supported by your video card driver.

I had to reinstall Windows, then reinstall the drivers.  Fortunately, I had saved drivers in the system with the magic of the pilot, it was simple to just restore. However, when I try to start a Windows game, I get this error message:

Hardware acceleration is disabled or not supported by your video card driver, which could slow down the performance of the game. Make sure that you install the latest video card driver and that hardware acceleration is turned on.

I checked, and hardware acceleration is enabled, which leaves wondering what the problem is. In Device Manager, by looking at the audio, video and game controllers, I see only an audio driver. I came to HP site, looking for the right video driver, but I don't know what to download.  My computer does not have a separate graphics card (more pity). It is integrated into the motherboard.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Hello:

According to the specifications of product for your PC, it comes with integrated Intel HD graphics card.

Here are the graphics drivers you need from the support page of your PC.  Install and reboot the PC.

This package provides the driver for the Intel HD Graphics solutions in the supported models that are running a supported operating system.

Do you know what brand and model of video card you have?  You can find by going to
Starting system, computer, properties, hardware, Device Manager
    Expand graphics cards
Find the name of your video card is, and then go to the manufacturer website and download the latest driver for this video card.  Make sure you get one that matches your version of Vista.

Most video cards have some type of control panel of their own which are accessible by right-clicking anywhere on the desktop.  But without knowing what you have the video card, we cannot really talk about hardware acceleration.  If you right-click on the desktop and you see something that corresponds to the brand of your video card, then go for it.  Other wise, right click on your desktop and properties, settings, then advanced.

  • Adobe Flash crashed so I have disabled hardware acceleration

I guess many people is aware of this problem.
When you leave a video full screen, flash player crashed. Then I saw the solution in this site. He tells me to disable hardware acceleration. If it worked, I'm supposed to update my graphics drivers, but it is already up to date. I don't want to keep my hardware acceleration disabled but when I allow it I still have a few problems. Help me!
    Thank you

Disabling hardware acceleration in the settings of the Flash is the solution given in article videos Flash will not play in full screen . If it works, the article suggests to update your graphics driver. If you can't do that, it's OK to leave disabled hardware acceleration. This Adobe help page has more information:

    Quote:

If I have some display problems with Flash Player, what should I do?

If you have problems to view with Flash Player, such as poor quality, image or slow display times deselect Enable hardware acceleration in the display panel. This should eliminate the problems of compatibility of hardware or driver with Flash Player. Flash Player then uses the software to scale and display content.
