hardware acceleration settings

Under display settings / advanced settings/troubleshooting, where I would normally have the option to enable or disable hardware acceleration, the "Edit settings" button is disabled. Below, it is a message that says: "your current display driver does not allow changes need to be made to hardware acceleration settings.

I want button settings change is enable? Help me!

Thank you!

I think that the message that the current video driver does not support this. Update your video drivers and see if that helps.

Never get the drivers from Windows Update. Bring:

1. site of the device mftr. ; OR
2. site of the card mother mftr. If the material is on board; OR
3. website of the OEM manufacturer for your specific machine if you have a PC OEM (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).

Read the installation instructions on the Web site where you get the drivers.

To find out what hardware is in your computer:

1. read all documentation that you got when you purchased the computer.
2. If the computer is OEM, access the site Web of the OEM for your specific model machine and look at the specs (you'll be there to get the drivers anyway)
3. download, install and run a program of inventory of the free system like Belarc Advisor or System Information for Windows.

    Hello
I have a Toshiba laptop with windows vista and cannot read my desperate Housewives Games distributed by PBA games. When I try to install it it says that my hardware acceleration has failed. He told me to install direct X 9 .0c which I did and it has always come with the same message. I clicked on windows help and he told me to check my direct X and I did and he said that my direct X was very good and there is no problem with him. Windows help has also been suggested that I have change my hardware acceleration settings which I think is the problem, but my computer won't let me change them. It is that the driver I have does not allow me to change. I even updated my driver and it stil lwouldn t let me. I want to know how or if it is possible for me to change my hardware acceleration settings, so I can play my game. The graphics driver of my computer is a mobile Intel 945 express chipset family.

  • Display driver to disable hardware acceleration

    I just download "total screen recorder' and the first thing is it me to disable hardware acceleration. Went to the settings and tried to do it but I was told I could not turn it off. He made this statement;
"Your current display driver does not allow changes need to be made to hardware acceleration settings.

What should I do? Download another driver, and if so where and what would I choose? I am running windows Vista Home Basic.

    Can someone please advise.

It is maybe that you don't have a choice in this matter. It depends on which allows Intel. It's pretty typical that they would allow him rather than him allowing not.
I think your driver just needs to be reinstalled.

If you access the Toshiba site and look for your specific model, it must only be a newer driver for Vista available.
Make sure that it is that of your specific operating system, such as 32-bit or 64-bit.

  • Video card driver and "hardware acceleration".

My monitor is constantly go dark and return a little later; image on and off, on and off the power and in and left and so on and so forth. Quite annoying because I can barely use my PC. It's like working with a strobe light!

Yesterday I received the message informing me that "hardware acceleration is disabled or not supported by the video driver...; to ensure that [I] have the driver of the last installed graphics card and that hardware acceleration is turned on."  Accordingly, I downloaded and installed the latest update from my PC video card driver.  But I don't know, could not find an explanation of what the "hardware acceleration" is; and I have not the slightest idea of what, precisely, do I "Enable hardware acceleration" option or whatever this thing can be.

Everyone out there can translate this message in clear and simple English and explain in simple terms how can I comply with these instructions?

Any suggestions, comments, advice, instructions, tips, advise or advice, you can provide to help me my ignorance on the matter, will certainly be very popular.

    Thank you

    ALV

If your monitor goes and out looks like it might be broken or maybe a bad connection.

If the problem just started to happen yesterday, what happened with the system yesterday?  Do you have a few Windows updates that may have included an update of the video driver - never a good thing for the driver updated from Microsoft.

Some graphics card have / have a kind of hardware acceleration settings and others do not.

You can check in an average point round by right click on your desktop, customize, change the display settings, display, advanced settings, on the advanced settings screen click on troubleshooting.

Of the Panel, the path would be:

    Control Panel-> display-> Change-> avancΘs-> troubleshooting display settings

If the change settings button is dimmed, you cannot set the acceleration:

The change settings button could also be grayed out if you have the wrong driver installed.

If you pouvez change the settings of the screen will look like this:

If the cursor is completely to the left (none) hardware acceleration is possible, but disabled/turned off so you can make an adjustment here (you may need to experiment with settings).

If you are unable to understand, you need to tell us what you have.

Follow these steps so that we can see what you have:

Click on the button/ORB start in the lower left corner of your screen. Or, press the button of your keyboard Windows logo.

    In the type box:

    Msinfo32

Select / click msinfo32.exe and the system information dialog box opens.

Click System summary, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and then paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here in your next reply.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) feedback here.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

    Hi PennyKnight

    1. What is the number of the model of Dell computer?
    2. you download and install the latest driver on the manufacturer's Web site?

    Method 1:

I suggest you to use the services of troubleshooting and to check if these help solve problems-

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-display-quality-Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

You can check if there are errors for the display device in Device Manager. Please refer to the below steps.
    a. open the Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
b b.. in Device Manager, look for the device and then right click on the name of the device and go to properties.
    c. now on the general tab, check the status of the device. Let us know the status of the device. Also you can inform an error code with the State.

    I hope this helps.

  • disable hardware acceleration set my image loading problem. is there another way to get around this?

    System details:
    OS: Windows 8.1 Professional (64-bit)
Graphics card: PNY NVidia GT 610 (2 GB)
    RAM: 5 GB
    Firefox version: 36.0 (32-bit)

Since yesterday, when the images would load on Web sites, some of them would be entirely black, or black for the most part, with only a piece of the images loaded, only to fully charge a few minutes later.

Disabling hardware acceleration has solved this problem, but reduces the overall performance of firefox. Is there another way to work around this problem, not to mention that disabling hardware acceleration?

Note: The only 2 things I have tried have been reset firefox and a new installation of firefox. I don't want to lose my data of the addon and the custom settings of firefox, because it takes too much time for me to put them back where they are now.

I'm also pretty computer savvy, if you can get quite technical with me. If I don't understand something, I ask.

  • Immidiate crash of Flash, not able to disable hardware acceleration. Solved!

Video/content Flash crashes instantly, so it does not right click and enter the settings to disable hardware acceleration. This issue has not been resolved for more than 2 years in the other forum posts, but I finally did. You will need to temporarily DISABLE your recording and playback devices in the sound menu of the windows. This will allow you to read flash content (it me helped), just enough to disable the accelertion material. I'm surprised Mozilla has survived despite being unable to debug their own software - no respect to the announcement of customers their time.

Flash is developed by Adobe, Mozilla No. Although the good news is that Firefox creates their own flash player that should be in a near-future version of Firefox.

  • Hardware acceleration in Firefox 27 worked well under XP, but creates problems in W7. Any solution?

I've updated recently for Windows 7 XP (thanks to MS stopping to support XP). Material remains the same. The drivers are up to date. I installed Firefox 27 since the beginning.
In Windows XP, I had font smoothing on, even with Windows 7. Windows XP I had no idea of ClearType, I disabled it in Windows 7. In Windows 7, I chose Tahoma as fonts for windows (not that Segoe UI "fonts").
About Firefox. Under XP I had hardware acceleration (check mark). All fonts were smooth and no problems at all. In Windows 7 when hardware acceleration is enabled, a kind of ghost image appears in full on 14 or 16 px (as in the search field in google or the titles of the results) and bold all. But the fonts look good as in www.adventuregamers.com or support.mozilla.org .
If I disable hardware acceleration (box unchecked) I solve the problem with ghosting, but letters as in www.adventuregamers.com or support.mozilla.org appear to be "broken", as if some letters are not thick enough and they seem more "light". I might post some screenshots if that would help.

I tried all the solutions, I found here, including changing some settings on gfx.content.azure.enabled or gfx.direct2d.disabled in all: config from FF in the theme of basic/mode without danger, but without success.

    Any ideas?

Workaround: FF execution in Windowx XP SP3 Compatibility Mode. For Adobe Flash crashing, add "ProtectedMode = 0" in "Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash/mms.cfg" (Edit with Notepad). Everything works perfectly until now, only the |-| _| x | buttons appear as in XP.
No problem not noticed until now.

  • Adobe Flash crashed so I have disabled hardware acceleration

I guess many people is aware of this problem.
When you leave a video full screen, flash player crashed. Then I saw the solution in this site. He tells me to disable hardware acceleration. If it worked, I'm supposed to update my graphics drivers, but it is already up to date. I don't want to keep my hardware acceleration disabled but when I allow it I still have a few problems. Help me!
    Thank you

Disabling hardware acceleration in the settings of the Flash is the solution given in article videos Flash will not play in full screen . If it works, the article suggests to update your graphics driver. If you can't do that, it's OK to leave disabled hardware acceleration. This Adobe help page has more information:

    Quote:

If I have some display problems with Flash Player, what should I do?

If you have problems to view with Flash Player, such as poor quality, image or slow display times deselect Enable hardware acceleration in the display panel. This should eliminate the problems of compatibility of hardware or driver with Flash Player. Flash Player then uses the software to scale and display content.

  • Satellite Pro 4600: WinXP - no hardware acceleration for dvd?

I have a satellite pro 4600 pentium 3 800 with 128 MB of ram and graphics Trident CyberBlade XP card. The device is perfectly able to reproduce DVDs with the software alone by using PowerDVD 6. However due to the fact that my battery is almost dead, I would be able to play the DVD the most optimized battery settings.

Setting of the unit (approximately 350 mhz) low processor should be able to play DVDs if backed up by hardware acceleration, since cyberblade claims to be a card directX 7 with motion compensation and idct. However 4 PowerDVD 6 PowerDVD and windvd 7 do not recognize hardware acceleration under windows XP.

In the past, I had a similar problem with a laptop computer with a graphics card than cyberblade i7. I was then able to activate hardware acceleration using just powerdvd 4 and windows 98, but I don't want to resort to that.

Can someone help me? Do you know any software reading with the support of cyberblade XP Windows? Do I need any other drivers? I have the drivers on the toshiba site, and they date back to 2001.

    Hello

Unfortunately, I n t have any experience in hardware acceleration of the cyberblade card but mobile graphics cards are not similar with Office PC cards.
As far as I know the unit has a support of the Trident Cyber BLADE XP video controller 16 MB VRAM external video and DVD material.
However, you will find the Toshiba drivers on the Toshiba site but if you need one on so I would say to ask the support of Trident.
But if you use no drivers Toshiba you can do at your own risk!

  • Equium L20 - hardware acceleration is turned off or not supported

whenever I try to play a game, it is said the hardware acceleration is disabled or not supported by your video card do I do it please help im running windows 7

You must validate the machine model and or the graphic chipset. If for example it's Nvidia then opening the Nvidia control panel and look for the PhysX inffo you will see if hardware acceleration is enabled or disabled at the machine level. Under the 3D settings, there are application specific settings. I would have thought that any game as installed will be enabled these features supporting GPU. Go you into games custom settings and turn on the features are only supported on the latest chipsets high range?

    Hello

As the indicated error hardware acceleration must be supported by the video card
and the drivers used. Check with Dell for the updated drivers, as well as the manufacturer of the device for
the video device for the even more recent drivers. Do not assume because the Device Manager displays the

It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (updated video driver manually.)

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
