  • Hardware specifications for Illustrator

I intend to build a machine with about 15 GB of RAM and a processor I7.  I know that Illustrator is a 32-bit application, but how well it runs on 64-bit? Anyone had any experience of the CS5 questions running on a 64-bit computer?  Also what kind of hardware suggestions do you have someone build a machine only for the execution of Illustrator to get the best performance from it?

I use Win7 64-bit. Much less than a machine spec you are considering and it runs right along. It will not use all of your ram provided is a 32-bit application. But you probably know.

If I had to build a machine specially for Illy or another intensive application, outside of what you list, I would focus on access to the hard drive. An SSD would be what I'd probably get.

What type of hard drive this model there? IDE, PATA or SATA? I would like to buy a spare part and clone the current drive.

This model really have bluetooth? I use a dongle with my mouse. It sticks out and I prefer to use provided bluetooth if it exists.

    Hi mate,

your machine has an equipped SATA driver and should have bluetooth on board. I checked google and the description of your model type says something like a bluetooth USB module should be fitted (I guess that it s a kind of USB port internal..)

  • ACCURATE for PSU DV6258se hardware specification

I recently came to own an opportunity with a grilled motherboad Pavilion DV6258se. I'm fine with the replacement of the motherboard I not know the part number for it, but I need a power adapter. I need to know the hardware specifications for the adapter, including the size of the CAP, type, volts, amps, watts, EVERYTHING. I don't want the money used on a diet that's not even the kind of CAP (e.g., ball/flatend).

    @kirono,.

Parameters of the AC adapter for your model:

    AC adapter / CC (65 watts) - voltage input 110-240VAC, 50-60 Hz, 2. 4A - 18.5VDC output voltage, 65 watt - requires a separate 3-wire power cord with connector C5

  • Specification of the minimum hardware requirements for Hyperion 11.1.2.2

We are implementing Hyperion Planning on linux, we need to install it on a single PC for testing purposes. What should be the minimum requirements of the Office should be? So it could be used as a stand-alone product.

    Kind regards.

It is based on web applications that will be deployed, if you deploy them to a single managed server then get away with less memory consumption, remember you also have the memory of elevated BONE so you push things with 8 GB but I'm sure you can get it running even if performance is poor.

  • Hardware options for synchronization

Wondering if someone could help to "classify" these approaches for synchronization.

-TCXO with shared references/PPS (i.e. - cable MIMO or OctoClock)

    -OCXO

    -OCXO with GPS

The 'standard' TCXO models require extra things (MIMO or OctoClock or external sources) to phase-locking and synchronize the time.

The OCXO allows precise... but we don't know how this has an effect on phase coherence (and how long a time).  Presumably, you would still need something like a PPS both synchronize?

With disciplined GPS devices, are you basically get consistency and synchronization time of phase since the GPS rather than external signal 'stuff '?  Or are there cases where you still need something like cable MIMO or OctoClock for more nail timing and synchronization?

    Hi Brandon,.

Thank you very much for the information! I leaned more in detail in this issue, and much of your question depends on your hardware configuration and system. JamesB, awesome post! This is great information.  Add to that, for our GPS USRPS (NI USRP 293 x) Unfortunately, you can not use the Ref entries in, this split on the external clock won't be an option on this material. In this context, option (c) will be probably the easiest because it is exactly how the work of our USRP. Do you use a USRP NOR? If Yes, and you try to sync up to 8 of these USRP together, GPS could be the only real option.

The extent of the direct wire vs precision GPS, direct wire is more accurate if you are using an external clock, which is more accurate than the clock on board and if you use a USRP which can use an external reference clock

The NI USRP 2930 and 2932 both of OCXO who only are more accurate, but there is no way to retrieve the source of 10 MHz to another device, with the exception of a MIMO cable which is not good to use for 2 devices. This is why the direct wiring method exists only for specific scenarios:

    1. the use of MIMO cable for up to 2 devices

    2. using an external clock, and a separator.

However, the internal OXCO does not you nothing good for the device plus two synchronization. With the help of a GPS antenna, clock discipline and a clear view of the sky will let each USRP use it of own OXCO and still be synchronized. It's not just GPS, it is using GPS information to adjust the already great time reference OCXO, which required each device to set its own clock. The following document shows the specifications for a USRP without a GPS antenna (just the precision OXCO) vs the OCXO accuracy in conjunction with the GPS disciplined in the section 4 (synchronization with GPS Disciplined oscillators on NI USRP 293 x):

    http://www.NI.com/Tutorial/14705/en/

While I was looking for it, I also found this post on the forum who has had a similar question:

  • How to upgrade my hardware-specific driver? Am recording on Audacity

Windows 7 on XP, how to update drivers, or find out if it is compatible with the Audacity program? Cannot get sound out of the Audacity program, worked before on XP.

    Moved from Hotmail

There is no upgrade inplace for Winxp to win7, its using a clean installation, even if a windows.old folder can be created.

You need to install win7 drivers specific for your system/hardware from different manufacturers.

And if you do not have to run first win7 Upgrade Advisor, you can now do so through your dvd of win7

If it's your gateway GT4016 this machine provides only the Winxp drivers

  • Comparison of specifications for some ASUS X 58 LGA 1366 mobos

I'm so bored trying to evaluate different mobos ASUS channels confused ASUS lists the features of individual Council or their comparison screwed up, tool that I decided to take their information on the specification for each onboard and create a following ASUS mobos Excel spreadsheet: Sabertooth X 58, P6X58D, P6X58D-E, Rampage III Extreme and P6T7 WS Supercomputer.  Where possible, and where it seemed that the features on the different models are the same, I 'aligned' functions in a spreadsheet row.  It is not a complete nor necessarily "correct" comparison, but the total information is more apples to apples in the worksheet that was available via ASUS.

Like many on the forum, I am considering a processor i7 - probably NOT the hexagonal base simply due to price, 24 GB of RAM and an Evga GeForce GTX470 Superclocked graphics card (possibly by adding one more later) and also add a controller RAID Areca to 12 ports to a little later.  I'd appreciate comments/prospects, others may have seen similar built of ASUS mobos with any reflection on the specific advice by report.

For what it's worth, I'm in the middle of the construction on a new machine myself, and my selection of mobo narrowed it down to the Asus Rampage III Formula (not extreme) and the Asus Sabertooth X 58.

I also initially thought the Asus P6T6 WS Revolution and the P6X58D Premium. I eliminated the P6T7 WS Supercomputer from the beginning because of the lack of justification for the higher price tag (I don't have the SAS ports, but I did not USB 3.0). Also the number of overall SATA ports has been reduced because of the SAS on the P6T6 and P6T7 boards.

Rampage (Extreme vs formula) are differentiated by overclocking tools, the formula is adapted to my needs and at a lower cost compared to the extreme Board. In addition, the SATA ports are arranged is different between the two boards and I preferred the way the formula has been implemented.

It was very difficult to choose between Sabertooth X 58 and the Rampage III Formula because they are very similar in many ways and the Sabertooth's $100 cheaper. He went down to the expansion cards. Rampage has 3 PCIe 2.0 slots, Sabertooth has 2. Also, the layout of the expansion slot lets you sacrifice the top PCI slot if you use a big GPU as the Nice CS5 most of users will want to (the Fermi cards and Quadro). I do not plan to use the PCI slot, at least not at the moment, but I hate that the slot has been placed in a place that I can't use it on the jury Sabertooth.

Add to that the characteristics of usability on the map of the Rampage III Formula for overclocking (and the dual BIOS chips... VERY convenient if you want a separate profile of OC and a separate reference profile, or if you just want to have a backup BIOS chip on board in case you do something stupid).

I took my Rampage III Formula Board yesterday for a little over $ 290 (without shipping or tax). I'll use an i7 950 ($249) and 24 GB of RAM ($550) with an eVGA GTX 470 Superclocked GPU ($300). And I build in a Cooler Master HAF X chassis (165 dollars), because this is a case of great air-cooled with lots of useful features (like a cover that slides over the power/reset buttons, so my son does not seek to 'help Daddy'). I will say though, the case weighs more than 30 pounds right now and there is nothing in it again... and it's huge... so, if you follow my lead on the chassis, better to first measure your editing suite.

However, I run into a single problem... my new 1000w PSU will require a new UPS solution, since my current is only 1500VA (850w). Pricing of the solutions out there and I see very little in the sub $500 range. Ouch. need to use the RAID controller integrated well... and I guess that's a compromise decent price compared to the purchase of a RAID controller separated for about the same price.

And one problem creates another, I need to get an electrician here to upgrade the power to my office to support a greater power of all these things.

  • I bought an iPad mini4 specifically for use with a pro Phanton3 drone. It will NOT connect the remote control with the drone. They say it's a problem of software iPad mini 4 9.3.3. How can I remove and reload it.

How can I uninstall 9.3.3 an mini iPad iOS 4 and reinstall? I bought it specifically for a ghost Pro 3 drone, and it does not work with the drone. Someone had luck with uninstalling/reinstalling. At this point, I lost a LOT of money.

Apple frowns on a decline in the ratings.

While Apple allows, try downgrading to 9.3.2.

For a limited time Apple will return you to the previous version.  Do not hurry.  This period takes up to a week.

Restore factory settings by loading the latest version of the ios that will support your machine:

    (1) make a full backup of your device if necessary.  Is two times better - cloud and computer.

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT203977

    (2) three methods of restoration of your ipad.  [simple as abc]

2.a) "you can use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to factory settings and the latest version of iOS."

    http://support.Apple.com/kb/HT1414?viewlocale=en_US & local = en_US

2.b) be a little more insistent: "you can put your device iOS in recovery mode, then restore it via iTunes.:

    http://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201263

3.c) as a last resort, you might consider DFU (Device Firmware Update).  This could void your warranty.

  • What are the specifications for an avatar?

Does anyone know the global specifications for an avatar?

I collected some of the avatar next to various images and found that they were all 68 x 68, so my first attempt was a png 68 x 68. But that seems smaller than the other. So I tried 256 x 256, and coming out of the same size as the others. But what we should use? Page load gives only the size max 2 MB. My 256 image is only 13.8 KB, so should I go for the max which is part of 2 MB? This seems unnecessary, since it will never be seen with this resolution. It would be useful if the loading page gave a size recommended, rather than simply 'go there '.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

SQUARE & larger than the target of 68 x 68. He'll go through the process of harvesting the SiteWare anyway - and downsampling will whatever happens

  • Satellite L20: Need hardware specifications

Hi all. I bought my system on 23 December and am really enjoying the use of the laptop. However, it seems that my system does not meet the specifications, it is said that he should have. Namely the memory. Care that I have 256 MB of ram if Everest home edition said 190 MB of memory total. See below:

    --------[ Memory ]---------------------------------------

    Physical memory:
    Total 190 MB
    Used 170 MB
    Free 19 MB
    Use 90%

    Swap space:
    Total 344 MB
    Used 277 MB
    Free 66 MB
    Use 81%

    Virtual memory:
    Total 534 MB
    Used 448 MB
    Free 85 MB
    Use 84%

    Problems & Suggestions:
Suggestion install more system memory to improve performance of applications.

Also was no DVD supermulti. I have the dvd rom/cdwriter. Is it possible that the model I have has been suspended? Only memory is not really enough for Windows XP.

    Thank you

    Larry

    Hi Laurent,.

The disparity with you reports that RAM is usually as a result of the RAM shared with the graphics card (usually 64 MB). The result is that there are 192 MB remaining for the use of the system and that's what your version of Everest reports. It is quite normal for the laptops that use a shared video memory.

In my view, the minimum specifications for Windows XP are 128 MB, but I agree with you that a higher value would be more beneficial. ;)

Unfortunately you don't say exactly what version you have the L20 (usually L20 - xxx), but I suggest you check the specs on the Toshiba web site.

I hope you continue to enjoy your L20 and welcome to the forum :)

  • Set up a user profile specifically for the game

    Hi all

I installed Windows 7 (64-bit) and use it mainly for work (Excel, SPSS, Word). I also have many programs start automatically with Windows and run as background processes. What I want to do is create a profile user who loads only minimum programs and services required to play video games. Currently I have to manually complete the applications and services, which is a pain in the thigh. How can I configure a user profile specifically for games?

    TYIA,

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

You can create a new user profile, but you will need to put your computer in a clean boot for the new user account only State to play games and to disable applications/services that are not used frequently.

New user account will inherit all startup applications and services of the administrator account.

To create a user account , follow the steps in the link
