Header/footer problem
How can I copy (or import) headings (and feet) of a Pages'09 document Pages 5.6.1 document? In addition, can I prevent 5.6.1 automatically removing the headers of records ' 09?
Wrong
Pages ' 09 v4.3 has about 100 + more features that Apple has added to his entirely rewritten version - v5 Pages. This disparity of functionality is the reason that open Pages ' 09 documents in Pages v5.6.1 can drop content that depends on the characteristics of the earlier application. There is no capability in v5.6.1 Pages that can override the automatic removal, or the deformation of the missing features. You need to rebuild these headers/footers in v5.6.1 Pages as much as you can.
You could also export Pages ' 09 document to Word and open in v5.6.1 Pages. No guarantee that this will preserve your however custom header/footers.

Problem when adding header/footer
Hi all!
We are chemical product design software company. Our products have the export to PDF (procedure established internally according to the specification of the public pdf format).
One of our clients has Acrobat Pro installed and wants to add the header/footer for the pdf files generated by our software. And here the problem arises: If a particular page in this pdf file contains text data - the header is not displayed. If a page contains only graphics - everything is OK.
I downloaded an example at http://www.multiupload.com/GE0EQ0LR5J . You can see the original file Test-head - Footer.pdf and after editing in Acrobat 8 Pro: the header appears on page 2, but not on page 1.
Interesting fact: Acrobat Pro 6 inserts header to all pages, but 8.9 and X only on page 2.
I broke my head trying to find why this is happening, but could not.
Ideas, people?
There is something very strange with the object of text on page 0 - if you run a low-level syntax of the file using tool control upstream Acrobat Pro, it will report a number of failures. You will also find that this is not a text object as an object page should (i.e. you cannot change it).
I have not tracked down why this should cause the header/footer missed their calls to paint, but he does. I'll have a poke on but can't promise anything.

Could you try to export to HTMLand see (when you open index.html) if pages look good, or if they also display bad manners? If they look too large, then there is definitely something wrong with your file of Muse . Please post one or more screenshots of your page (s) to Muse, to reveal how the page was built. If they look very well, so there is a glitch in the server Of Business Catalyst .

I have problems with my header/footer. It seems that some of them are different from when I iniitally started my paper. In one place, I have a header that is almost the entire page. I tried to delete and start again but the same thing is going to be. Anyone know how I can solve this problem. I have a paper due on Monday and it's frustrating.
Anyone know how I can solve this problem.
You can start by asking your question in a forum that is directed to your word processing program. If this program is a version of Microsoft Office, see here--> http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/word that this forum has same sub-forums for different versions of Word (which you should specify in your question).
Word also has a built-in help function that treats the headers (and footers).
If you are using Word, see this--> http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2007-word/header-area-is-too-large-and-will-not-change/7bfcbdfe-5868-4061-a9ea-bb5af4d74190 (for pre-2007 versions: file > layout > Layout > alignment Vertical > Top > OK).

HTML conversion to PDF (how to change or remove the automatic header/footer)?
Hi all
I'll start with the positive. Function "Convert to Adobe PDF format" Adobe works wonders for HTML to PDF. In fact, even with all the embedded HTML 5 CSS, conversion perfectly renders the HTML code! I'm so impressed!
But I have a little problem I just solve.
Adobe automatically inserts a header and a footer. The header is not really a problem, but it would be nice to customize. This is the footer that really needs to change. The automatic footer is an unsightly long text that includes the path and the full name and data and the time of the conversion. Is it possible to customize and simply remove it when converting. It is a document of page 41, so I will not manually change the header and footer. Ideally, I would like Adobe to change the header/footer when converting... because I have to eventually automate the conversion and avoid any post-editing.
Thank you for your advice.
In Acrobat when you use 'create PDF from Web Page' change settings:

Header/footer static on dynamic fluid layout
Hello guys, I've been browsing high and low for a while now, but never found what I REALLY need to fix my form.
Have a fluid layout with (from top to bottom, in this order): header, text, retail, bio and foot.
- Header and footer are two pieces wrapped in subforms placed at the top and bottom of the pach, respectively.
- TEXT is a subform just under the header.
- RETAIL is a fluid subforms which is supposed to grow in height because the user creates new instances of it [and it works].
- BIO is a text box wrapped in a subform flowing (asa above).
My problem is that, well that place the header and footer in the Master pages section (because I only they repeat on EACH page), they come regularly step by step on the rest of the subforms (TEXT, DETAIL and BIO).
Of course, I would like to have the header and footer fixed in their positions, regardless of what is between the two and all the subforms fluid set of sub header, filling all available space, possibly break to the next page, but always under the header above footer.
I'm looking for an example of a working solution based on what I brought back, please do not post external links or maybe-solutions. Maybe for you, it's something very simple and stupid, but it gives me a lot of headaches so far.
Thanks in advance to those who will respond effectively
You can set your content area. Go view > Master Pages. You'll see a dotted purple line that you can adjust manually or in your page layout palette. If you put your header/footer outside of this area, all the content of the rest of your form will be page break between them.

DW CS4 header, footer Nav &; page disappeared in a few pages
I have inherited from our Web site and worked with the margins of the pages. I had changed the margins for the header, footer and NAV. I think I downloaded it but not sure I saved the first. Then when I opened other pages that has always included the header, the footer and the nav, they are all now disappeared. Pages came with an asterisk saying that there was a change before I did anything on these pages. When I clicked to close a prompt came asking me if I wanted to save Nav, I don't remember at the time I had changed NAV and probably not a not save it. So I said no. a guest asked me that if I want to save the page, I said no again because I didn't record without header, footer NAV and page.
At this point, I saved the header, the footer and the NAV. But a few pages still happen without them.
I don't know what to do except possibly download a new copy of the Web site.
Is it possible for me to find earlier versions of the pages, or to download only the pages? (I tried this but does not change what I had on the screen) My history file is empty.
I'm having fun until it happened. Thanks for your help.
Your post is quite confused :-)
Don't have download any of these files modified on the host server?
If you did and they crushed you files previously, then I am afraid that you cannot recover the originals.
There was already a backup files before starting work on them... (please say Yes! otherwise, again, you have a problem with back to the original).
If, however, you do NOT have download all the pages to the remote server, then Yes, you should be able to download them from the host server and start working on those (AFTER making a backup copy of them of course).

In one of my firefox browser, the header/footer margin setup parameter is inches, I need to change it to milimeter to inches. Your help is appreciated.
As far as I KNOW Firefox displays the metric or Imperial depending on the type of paper selected for printing. If you are using A4, you should get millimeters/metric.

Now click on printing (1)
Now click on the button/menu (2) and select open PDF in preview (3), or select "Save as PDF...". »

I'm trying to add page numbers to a document Pages. The directions say to put the pointer over the section header/footer at the top / bottom of the page. However, the indicator display the header/footer section. I'm doing something wrong? Any suggestions? Thank yoy
Jerry
It should display the outline of header box simply by moving your mouse in the path box with about 1/2 between the top line and the top of the white area. Another thing you can do is go to the view menu and select 'view available '. These suggestions are for the current version of Pages - 5.6.1

Line break WCF in the header/footer of the declaration
Hello
y there is it possible to force line breaks in headers or footers of the declaration? I'm on the way to develop my own report and you want to customize the header/foot a little more my way...
Thanks and greetings
Oliver
I found the solution for me...
Create your own text rendering engine and new lines of support set to true, now you can set line breaks with a normal entry in your text...
If you know how, then, it's really easy...
Thanks and greetings

Blackberry widget static header/footer positioning
I worked retail fixed header/footer in my blackberry widget. Here's my progress:
Blackberry Header and Footer Title
// content goes hereIt is obviously not the best coding in the world, but it seems to work OK, except that I can't scroll the content when it is large.
I've searched around, but couldn't find much information about him.
It would be nice to have a standard header/footer, with the hacks built in work.
If I could somehow overflow of average content to scroll with touch screens, then it should be good to go, right? Also, to implement other features... etc...
I have not yet tried jQuery mobile, but some things you may be bumping into one I've seen documented.
Currently, jQuery mobile only supports the torch and the BlackBerry webkit browser. They intend to make browsers more ancient in the mix that they continue with jQuery mobile (I think that all the way back to the browser of 4.7 on the storm).
Second, I noticed that some of jQuery contained the names of file a ' - '. You will need to rename these files and make sure that all the links in the library are not violated between all the files for the compiler to BlackBerry widget to consume these resources.
just the two big things I can think of that you can encounter. I'll post to the top if I have the chance to try the library.

Header/footer for the first page only
Hi all
Is it possible to have headers/footers with option, first page only? The current options are
- Not first
- Only in the last
- Not last
- Back only
- In front only
Is it possible to have 'first only?
We use Documaker Studio 12.3. Thank you.
I think that if you want a header, footer on the first page only, which means that you should not use the copy on overflow attribute. Then those who would only be on this first page.

Recorded in header/footer - Acrobat 8 Pro / Win7
I need to use multiple headers/footers by page. It works fine when I get the headers/footers manually, however, when I save the different header/feet that they will "overwrite" (i.e. clear) headers that are already in place when I apply a saved header.
Is there a way to prevent "crush" does not happen?
Last updated. Research has me a little more to the 'upstream' tool I don't know what that means exactly, but I learned that if I add a header/footer registered, run 'control upstream', I can then add another header/foot to save without overwriting the first.
So, there are at least 2 options (other than writing a script) to be able to use several feet/headers stored on a single page PDF. Print to PDF the addition of the saved header/foot or run 'upstream' between adding the header/feet to save.
Preflight seems fewer steps and is probably my answer for now.
Thank you all.
