  What version of the operating system you are using (Windows Vista or XP)?
   
  Verify that the default audio device is properly set.
   
   
  1. click on the startup sound in the box type start search.
   
  2. click on sound in the results of search at the top of the start menu.
   
  3. click on the tab reading notice the check mark next to the default device. For most users, the default device is speakers. Change the default device with headphones.
   
  4. Select the audio device you want as the default audio device and then click on set as default.
   
  5. click on the properties button, and then select the levels tab and make sure that the volume is at 100 and not cut.
   
  6. click OK to save your settings and close the sound dialog box.

  Also try:

  1. close all programs, preparing to open the first program that will use the headset.

  2. right click your Volume icon and select playback devices.

  3. Select headset as default device and open the program that you want to use this device, it will play on the current default device (headset).

• Bluetooth headset does not work with Windows 7 - device is detected.

  I have a Dell XPS 1530, which had Vista 32 bit running. I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate. Ever after that the Bluetooth of DELL BH 200 headset does not work with my laptop.

  The bluetooth adapter and the device is fine since I'm able to search and find all bluetooth devices, including my helmet. However, I get a yellow exclamation on the headset under devices. The headset can be paired with other devices such as my mobile and works very well.

  I tried to update the drivers and reinstall the device and the adapter from the Device Manager. We have a similar setup on my brother's computer and it works fine.

  Another thing to watch, would be what battery is used.  I know from personal exp some devices work with Toshiba stack, vs the MSFT pile up.  Do a search and see if anyone else uses a different battery with these devices.   I think that you have Vista.

  Looks like your earphones must be defined for the playback device by default because your speakers are still to play the audio.

  There is a white speaker icon in Vista right next to your clock, rightclick it choose the playback device and you will see the window come in the middle.

  Normally the speakers to be on speakers with the green check mark.

  If there is a category for headsets or USB headphones and told to work then you must right-click on your helmet and choose set as default playback device, then apply, ok and restart the computer.

  You can try to update the latest version of the Touchpad drivers from the manufacturer's website and check.

  Windows Live will not work on my laptop, data execution prevention is a problem, but how can I solve it?  It doesn't let me change the DEP settings as it says not allowed.  He did run when I first got my laptop but have had to reset the laptop to factory default, everything else works very well except windows live, it is recommended to find a user-friendly version of the DEP, when I go through solutions but don't really understand DEP.

• My USB headset no longer works with my laptop.

  I used a pair of headphones from Turtle Beach PLa as standard headphones with a microphone. I had only connected it via USB. I use a Toshiba Satellite L655-S5060 with Windows 7 Home Edition and they were working fine for months. But then just last night, I unplugged the on the accident, which normally isn't much, but when I reconnected it, the computer recorded, they were connected and are the main audio output, but would sound only comes out of the speakers. I tried the audio test and that would not work. After a bit of a panic attack, I downloaded a fix that was to solve this problem. There is no fix, and I tried to plug a pair of headphones Skull Candy. After that I did they worked and it was fine. So, I disconnected the determined to get a pair of ordinary headphones that plug into an outlet. I tried to plug the headset again and of course, the audio came out of speakers. I didn't know what to do.

  For a story on my laptop, if it will help you, the battery wouldn't hold a charge, and we could not afford a new so I took it out and left for a few months, using the adapter as a power source. I had some water damage on it, and the keyboard does not work, so I use a Microsoft 2000 No. 1477 wireless keyboard model. Affected only water damage the keyboard. USB port on the right side of the laptop is loose and makes the keyboard disconnect if I move the USB connector. I tried to plug my headphones into the other USB ports, nothing works and I don't know what else I can do and I'm desperately afraid of breaking my phone more as it is, because we cannot afford a new for awhile.
