Height of managers

I have a vertical field Manager, I add elements, for example

VFM.add (button);

VFM.add (tab);

VFM.add (HFM);

Then I need to get the height of that container, so I put a background height appropriate for the remaining space below. . GetHeight(). getVisibleHeight() and everything else seems however to return 0.

How can I enter the pitch "on the go" available to reset my fields/elements accordingly?

NVM, found the solution by using instead the getPreferredHeight() of actual fields.

  • Lines dynamic height Blackberry

    Hello. I work with RichTextField inside TableRowManager Blackberry. I've just stuck with something. I want to get variable height for each line, but I just got height for each line.

    I've tried "setRowHeight (int arg0, int arg1)", but it gives an error because it is just valid for 'setRowHeight (int arg0).

    Is there an alternative to use a method like setRowHeight undocumented?

    Please give me help. Thank you

    Here is my code:

    public class ImageListField extends ListField implements ListFieldCallback {
        Vector rows;
        Vector satu;
        Vector dua;
        Vector tiga;
        Font font1;
        int totalHeight = 0;
        int fontHeight;
        TableRowManager row;

        public ImageListField(int indeks, Vector ayat) {
            rows = new Vector();
            satu = new Vector();
            dua = new Vector();
            tiga = new Vector();

            for(int i=0; i

    Two recommendations:

    (1) stop to develop using this level of JDE.  Any device released with that OS level can and should have been upgraded to OS 5.0.  You will find much better to work with OS 5.0.

    (2) stop using the JDE, develop using Eclipse.  You can import projects JDE.

    Back to your question, from memory, that some people have reported success limited using lines of variable height by using the method that you found undocumented, but there have been more than people who noted that it makes the ListField react badly especially scrolling.  So if you really need lines of variable height, then I recommend you plan to create a line with a HorizontalFieldManager.

    ListField is a great control to manage hundreds of rows of data, but that, to compromise, in this case with the line height.  If you have only a few rows to display, then you should get an adequate return with managers.

  • How to calculate the height of LabelField when it displays in multi lines

    Hello friends,

    We use LabelField.getPrefereredHeight () to calculate the height of the label field. But he returned the same value when it is displayed online singel or multi line.

    Please help me for differing from the height of the label while displaying field multi-line and single-line

    Thank you very much in advance

    If the code is simple, then you might want to go ahead and post it.  I can't really speculate on exactly the problem in this case unless I see code.  It doesn't sound like you should not show the width and height of your Manager 1 however.  Here is an example of a sublayout of one of my managers:

        protected void sublayout(int width, int height) {
            int numFields = getFieldCount();        int availableHeight = height;
            int totalHeight = 0;

            for (int i = 0; i < numFields; i++) {
                Field field = getField(i);

                layoutChild(field, width, availableHeight);
                            availableHeight -= field.getHeight;
                totalHeight += field.getHeight();
            }

            setExtent(width, totalHeight);
        }

    This code is educating the Manager to use the full width so much to her and didn't use as much height as it needs (drunk on her children and adding up their respective Heights).  I don't know if this helps, but if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to post the code and we'll see what happens.

  • Width and height of MovieClipLoader

    Hi all

    OK, situation is this... user click and drag a rectangle on the stage that is created in a charger they can then load an image/swf in help filereference upload.

    According to the size and position of the rectangle as the user drew, will depend on the size of the movieclip, as a manager of resizer works across the loaded object and it resizes proportionally. This works very well if it's something as a jpg, but not with a swf file. The problem is that when loading a swf in it looks only at the size of the video in THE FIRST PICTURE! Then _height and _width is incorrect when the swf file is loaded.

    For example, to create an area of 50 x 50 at the top left of a stagesize of 550 x 400 flashmovie and tween over a few frame at the bottom left and save and publish the movie. Now in a new film create a moviecliploader and load it into your tween movie and set a listener to output the _width and _height onloadinit. It will say 51 and 51 (don't know why the extra pixel) NO 550 x 400.

    Therefore, the entire scale and any resizing later, the user can do is not working properly. In this example, it resizes the movie to 51 x 51 to the proportional fill space the 550 x 400, so you would end up with a square of 400 x 400 that will be tween off the screen, such that it has actually it resized to 4400 x 3200!

    The only way I can find to get around it is to put a 0 alpha moveclip the size of the stage on the clip to be loaded... which seem a bit of a hack.

    No idea how I can get around this you?

    These numbers are the Stage.width and Stage.height. In the IDE, it's Edit Menu-> Document.

    Only the first loaded swf stage height and width of scene survives. The first loaded swf becomes a mask for any other external swf loaded in it.

    When you load an external swf into a Movieclip, the external swf is loaded but its scene data are lost and won't load what is compatible within a MovieClip.

    MovieClips have a changing dynamic _height and _width property according to the framework and the positions of the object on this image.

    If you need a first image that is always a certain size, then include a rectangle MovieClip with an alpha = 0 on the first image. If all the frames, extend to all managers, but do not forget of all the objects that move also change _width and _height...

  • Font managers of the RAM and fonts

    Hi all

    I feel that the ability to enable and disable individual fonts using font (font book or third party) management software is designed to eliminate RAM memory (or at least somehow the unloading of the treatment of the Mac).

    I also believe I read that he mentioned somewhere that all fonts placed in the user/Library/Fonts location are always active in the RAM, and this is perhaps why it is important to not just throw hundreds of fonts in this folder.

    I wonder:

    -If above are true?

    -If you use third-party font management software to disable a font placed in the folder User/Library/Fonts eliminates actually he RAM memory (as is probably for policies outside the system of appointed police records)?

    -If none of this is true, then why even should we use font management software to disable or deactivate fonts - why not just let them all turned on if they are not in the RAM?

    I want to make sure that I fully understand. I hope that this will help me make more informed decisions about my workflow of font management.

    I'm under El Capitan 10.11.6, although I don't think that this specificity is relevant.

    Thanks for the informed answers!

    I don't think you are quite correct, I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong but here is my assessment of the situation...

    All installed or active policies are not loaded in RAM at startup because it would be than a useless on memory limited to Macs. System fonts will be loaded into memory as they are usually required.

    I believe that certain police functions get cached, such as previews of the fonts that are used in some applications, these selection committees are often written cache files stored on the drive that I can tell.

    Installation and activation of the thousands of fonts may cause some problems as apps may need to generate previews of these fonts - for example MS Word has its own custom selector of fonts that use the real font for names selection. Some design apps can analyze or search fonts when opening certain documents with the related font styles. Other applications such as TextEdit, Mail system use based Gatherer so that they benefit the plan puts large fonts in cache.

    The reason of FontBook is to assist in the management of fonts. OS X uses the 'library' system to allow multiple levels of abstraction, by example/System/Library is for OS-level files (stuff own apples), / library of the third parties who rely on the scale of the support system, ~/Library for user specific files. There is even in charge of resources to be stored in/Network/Library for use with a server on a WAN.

    Manage all this complex without a central application. In my view, that order preference is the user on the highest levels, so your own user fonts folder is selected on the system if you named the same way fonts. Part of the idea is also that you can export fonts in your own home library without affecting the other users of the system.

    Third parties also have police managers this attempt to 'do the right thing' based on what documents and applications you use. These are for most major design offices that use custom fonts or is needed to deal with versions of specific fonts, variations and even if the fonts are licenses for specific customers etc.. Fonts dynamically loading & unloading can cause headaches depending on what software you use.

    I do not think that average users need to think about fonts on OS X (beyond adding their favorites occasionally), you may be overthinking it unless you're in lots of design work.

    If you are concerned about running out of RAM, you probably need to install more, get a better Mac or run applications less. Just keep in mind what OS X tent now to use all the RAM available most of the time if not what is the point of installing it?

  • Column of the browser height

    I just downloaded the latest update to itunes and now my Explorer displays more than 4.5 lines. I tried hovering over the lines as I've done it before and no double arrow to resize vertically. The double horizontal arrows show, but no arrow double vertical change. This is the maximum vertical size that I can get. If something has changed with itunes 12.4.3.1?

    Thank you

    Patrick,

    On 12.4.3.1, I'm able to extend up to about 2/3 of the total height of window Explorer, or reduce it to about 2 lines.  It works this way in the overall music library or playlist.

  • Height of the bar of tabs suddenly twice as high. How to restore?

    Firefox 37.0.2 with Little Fox 2.0.32 tab style and Tab Mix Plus 0.4.1.7

    Yesterday, I noticed that the height of the tab bar went from what it had been. It is now about twice as high, and so are the icons. Also, the active tab is not highlighted on the tab bar.

    I did not any changes to the settings in FF.

    Is it possible to reduce the size of the icons, which can reduce the size of the entire toll bar?

    Looks like a flaw with this theme Littlefox 2.0.32.

  • I want to change the height of the bars. How can I do?

    I installed a theme for my Firefox.
    I would just like to have the image on the left clearly (see the image attached to my current Firefox window).
    So I would move some buttons and address below the search box. Or, in the case where this is not possible, I would like to increase the height of the bars.
    I tried to access the style editor, but I don't know what css file has rules of the bars.
    Thanks for any help you provide.

    You need to use DOM Inspector to get the id of a toolbar.

    You can consider using code like this in the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    #navigator-toolbox { min-height: 200px !important; }

    The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.

  • Menus and toolbars are 3 times the height they were. Re-install is not change things, nor is "default".

    Unexpectedly, the toolbars became three times the height. At the same time came in the drop-down menus of the same question.
    After searching for a "setting" and finding nothing, I uninstalled and then reinstalled two times without resolution. Reset default "" also failed to restore normality.

    The text in the tabs and toolbars is a normal height, as it is in the menus, but try to select from a menu makes empty options.

    At this point, I wouldn't worry Crash Reports.

    It seems to me as a matter of Windows theme or it is related to video drivers, and troubleshooting information you provided says 'Try to update your driver graphic version 182.65 or later.'

    This should be your first step.

  • How can I change the height of the menu bar to allow my large icons/buttons maintain their size?

    I've recently updated to FF31 FF28. Totally different user interface, I get that. I waited to update until I psych myself to try something different. I have the default theme Australis and Noia Fox Theme, which is designed with the larger icons/buttons for those with Visual needs. On my screen at this moment, I have the title bar, menu bar, tab bar and toolbar url/addon with the menu "Burger" on the right. I placed icons in the bar of menus, kept the House icon in the bar of the addon, and then there are the default icons in the menu popup. When I activate the Noia Fox Theme, look great icons in the addon/url bar, even in the popup menu; clear, large, easy to see. However, the icons in the menu bar (not the menu popup) are less than half their size origin/destination. So I'm going to default Australis theme, reboot and same problem, but not quite as dramatic as the default theme is smaller at first.

    My thought then, is that there is a setting in the menu bar which resizes the icons/buttons for a small default size. This setting can be changed to allow icons to keep their size original (or near it) and if so, how? I like the location of the menu bar on my screen, underneath the title bar above the tabs bar. Works very well with the new Fox only better addon that attaches to the tab bar and mask the url bar, a 'new' for me and I love him. I know that I can get the CTR with an additional bar and I tried that. The question, then, is that the extra bar appears below the tab bar and that it is not moveable to above the bar below the title bar and tabs.

    For the moment, I have just the two themes, security addons added and The Fox but better. I haven't added any other addons of appearance again in order to minimize potential conflicts/problems. I have not tinkered with internal FF by default not to follow the other parameters to tell me (I think that's what I did). To the best of my knowledge limited, I kept the changes and customizations to a minimum. And Yes, by your feature of conjecture to posted questions, I'm under Win 8.1 and 31 FF.

    I think I've offered sufficient detail so that others may try to reproduce the problem. Otherwise, let me know and I'll try to answer as soon as I can. Thank you very much for any help offered.

    ~ wkothlow

    You can also try code like this that I posted before on icons placed on the menu bar:

    #toolbar-menubar > toolbarbutton > .toolbarbutton-icon {
      height:24px!important; width:24px!important; margin:-3px!important;
    }
  • How can I stop height tab to change when I hover over them?

    I use Firefox 29. When I move my mouse over any tab, the height of all tabs climbs to about twice the height, they are when I do not hover over them. I do not like this behavior. I'd rather have the tabs remain the same height if I hover over them or not.

    How to disable this behavior?

    If you have not already... To see if one of your extensions is in question, could you test mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

    You can restart Firefox in Mode safe help

    Help > restart with disabled modules (Flash and other plugins still works)

    In the dialog box, click on 'Start mode safe' (not Reset)

    Any difference?

    Firefox has bigger tab graphic images for displays "high resolution". But I expect the size to be determined once and does not change when you move the cursor or stop... hovering, but to adopt this thought:

    • What is your default zoom level in Windows? For example, it can be 100%, 125%, 150% or a custom value.
    • If you have manually customized the preferences of Firefox "layout.css.devPixelsPerPx", what is its value?

    To verify that a second:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the pix and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) find layout.css.devPixelsPerPx on the list.

    • A value of-1 means Firefox will use your zoom level of Windows to the size of the text and images on your toolbars.
    • Any other value is applied instead of your zoom level of Windows, multiplied by 100, so 1.2 gives you the text and images larger than the old standard of 120%.

    Please do not change this value, which will only make things more confusing.

  • change the height of the tab/address bar

  • Installed a theme and can not adjust its ' height

    I bought a new computer and installed Firefox. The appearance of the tool bar is very different. I can live with that. I then installed the theme that I had used on the old computer, and the theme shows about 50% of what he did on the old computer. Both systems use Windows 7.

    I just want to adjust the height of the menu so that more of the theme looks as it did in the old computer. Suggestions?

    Thanks for the help.

    Are you talking about a Persona (light theme), which only covers the area of toolbar?

    You can create additional toolbars to get extra space via "view > toolbars > customize" to see more of the Persona.

    You need to put something on a toolbar (drag an item of top space) before closing the window customize because empty toolbars are automatically deleted.

  • [SOLVED] How can I increase the height of the tabs?

    I was using a theme that has increased the height of the tabs. Unfortunately, the theme was in conflict with the menu tab setting using the TabMixPlus extension. I'm stuck with the theme by default or others who do not increase the size of the tab. I tried a variety of codes in userChrome.css nothing helps. I am currently using the default theme with Firefox 20.0.1 (a Linux operating system).

    You should be able to do through this code in userChrome.css

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    #TabsToolbar { height: 35px !important; }
