Height of row in a bulleted list.

My client wants to double space between the balls, but simple spacing between wraps. If I use the line height in the list item, it areas everything also. How can I get the effect she wants?

The only way that I can understand how to do this is by creating the < ul > individual for each element, but it becomes really messy, and my client is using Contribute, so it is too messy so she can understand.

For example, instead of this:

Screen shot 2011-06-17 at 9.46.53 AM.png

She wants this:

Screen shot 2011-06-17 at 9.47.02 AM.png

I don't know that it's probably pretty simple. If you can do this in Word, then there must be a simple way of this style?

Thank you

Jules

You are right about what happens when you use the row height. What you really want to do is to add a padding-bottom to the class for your list items of "li". This will give you the spaces after every ball.

  • Height of row custom setting ListField shaped on 9000 & 9530

    Hello

    I use the method setRowHeight (int, int) to set the height of a row in a custom list field. It works perfectly in all models except the 9000 and 9530. In these two model, it seems that she ignores my call to the method and it does not change the height.

    Everyone knows this or have a possible solution?

    Wow I feel stupid, it was formatted correctly. The screen size is just bigger and I changed the wrong font size so it appeared smaller.

  • Bulleted list spacing

    I have a bulleted list on my site which was going fine up until today. I didn't change something else on the page, I think it was just an image or placeholder image or something, and when I again checked the page in the browser, the list has been more that one space... it looks like spacing 1.5 or more. How can I change this spaced back so the list is just unique? The site is www.wetlawnirrigation.com if this can help, bottom left of the home page. Thank you.

    Use the line-height property:

    ul li {}
    line-height: 1.2 em;
    }

    Simply change the value to your liking.

    I hope this helps.

  • using dw cs3 css bulleted lists

    I am trying to create a bulleted list in the main text area. < Li > already has properties of the spry navigation bar, I need to keep.

    * {
    margin: 0px;
    do-family: Rockwell, 'Franklin Gothic Medium', Verdana, without serif.
    do-size: 14px;
    line-height: 16px;
    text-align: center;
    padding-top: 15px;
    padding-right: 0px;
    padding-bottom: 5px;
    padding-left: 0px;
    }

    The problem is that I want the list in the text box to align left no Center. I can get the ball, but for some reason any fails how to change it to align to the left when I do, it aligns the left bar menu too. Please, please help.

    When I try to create a new div with the properties of the list of the ball, there is not a ball. I know there is a simple answer, I just can't understand it.

    Any help is appreciated.

    You might consider creating a category for the list to which you refer and set the desired attributes that it contains; for example
    . Class ol {}
    text-align: left;
    }
    Who should replace the universal attribute you have defined. You will need to give the li within ol properties. Keep trying. CSS rocks!

    Good luck.

  • How to remove unwanted space after bullet list?

    When I create a bulleted list in Dreamweaver, there is no extra space below the list which is what I want to happen. Although, when I download the file on the Web site on the Oracle database, an unwanted space always shows under a bulleted list. How can I stop this from happening? It's something that I can solve in Dreamweaver or it's Oracle, that is the question?

    In Dreamweaver.PNGOn Website.PNG

    Browsers automatically apply the default margins for many HTML elements, including lists bulleted (bullet lists).

    Try to add the following style rule to your stylesheet:

    UL {}

    margin-top: 0;

    margin-bottom: 0;

    }

  • Make the bullets listed a, b, c, d, etc. "BOLD"

    Hi, I'm new to Dreamweaver and have been using it to generate the code for my Wordpress siteclient. If you scroll to the bottom of the home page on you will have a few bullets listed in the form of a, b, c, d etc. What I'm trying to do, is get the numbered chips "BOLD", but not the text (if that makes sense) - I hope someone can help.

  • Numbered lists nested in bulleted lists

    I had to create this:

    Screen Shot 2014-08-19 at 4.04.07 PM.png

    First level with checkboxes items are set up as bulleted list with a square shape of police Wingding for the chip.

    Second level (a., b., c., etc.) include a list numbered, configured as level 2. (Both use the default list and paragraph styles)

    No matter after checking the ' numbers restart at this level after ' for the second level, the letters second level will not re-start. (The lettering would begin with 'c' to "Organize materials" where I wanted to restart with 'a' as in the photo)

    It seems that InDesign will not recognize a list bulleted as part of a pattern...

    To resolve this problem, I changed the first list to a numbered list level. I assigned just a typical style of numbering (1, 2, 3, etc.), but he gave a character style that is white while the figures can be seen. Then, I had to draw the boxes with the shape tool and align the text.

    Is there a better way I could have done this?

    You could do that

    Make the box line with a heartbeat of a numbered list.

    https://DL.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17210757/numberedlist%20with%20squares.IDML

    The line with the checkbox is a numbered - list but I defined the style of Wingdings character and just put o ^ t

    o the square in wingdings

    Start at 0

    NumberList following the value 'follow previous issue '.

  • Bulleted list

    I have a bulleted list in a web page that shows no bullets. I also have a horizontal menu that has its own class. It includes a CSS rule to set the List-Style: None which probably had a lot to do with this problem...

    The potential for a conflict that I have created a new CSS class called .bulletlist to circumvent the obvious problem.

    .BulletList ul {}

    list-style: square;

    }

    and the HTML code is:

    < ul class = "bulletlist" >

    < class li = "bulletlist" > First Choice < /li >

    < /ul >

    Why not show not the balls - and what I need to do to correct the problem? Interestingly, in Design view if I click on the list, the bulletlist class is not in the CSS designer.

  • The bulleted list number

    I is currently working on a WebHelp project in RoboHelp HTML (RH10) and use bulleted lists. The problem is that some of our bulleted lists use a picture for the first line and then the following bullet under should use the standard round ball. During development, within RoboHelp, there doesn't seem to be a problem with that; However, when I saw or build the project, the following lines under take on the properties of the first line leading to all the lines with the ball of the image.

    This is what it looks like during development (I removed the format of image for the following ball and apply the format of round ball - which is the format of the target).

    Thanks in advance for your help, it is a very frustrating issue.

    HR is to write the code correctly. Note that the closing of the first list tag comes after the second list.

    It might work if you change the code, but I suspect that HR re-writing it. If so, then this is a bug, you're stuck with that. Report however. The more people who report a bug or request a feature, more likely, he will be executed. Please follow this link.

    As a temporary workaround solution, create one subsection called spacer or other style. Define police 1pt and no room upper or lower. After the 'list' with the image, add a line using this style, then back to normal, and create the second list. With only 1 point between she hopefully will be not noticeable.

  • strange behavior bulleted lists after generating projects in RH9

    After a slight change in the projects Skin the bullet lists all the subject in all my projects has been changed so that the space between the bullet and the text is missing () see photo) but changing the Skind has never touched the topics.

    The bullet lists seems until I generate the project?

    And I did not any changes to the .css file!

    Ikke-navngivet-1 kopi.jpg

    The problem is your CSS and the reason why you see only in browsers, it is that they are unable to handle errors. Here's the relevant bit. Your paragraph style (P.Steps) contains a list of style and your style of list (Li.p - steps) does contain not all list definitions.

    {P.Steps}

    list-style: decimal;

    top of the margin: 4pt;

    margin-bottom: 4pt;

    color: #151515;

    left margin:-10pt;

    background-color: #ffffff;

    }

    {LI.p - steps}

    list-style: decimal;

    color: #151515;

    }

    The problem is described on my site at the http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/lists/lists.htm see the section on upgrading.

    In this case, I removed the style list redundant in the paragraph (highlighted in blue) style, but the fix was the other line highlighted. You had applied a negative margin within the list, then the browser moves text 10pts left and then he hit the number.

    Remove these lines and that it generates OK.

  • Tables - height of row and cell INSET

    I'm working on ascript to do the following:

    1 put the first row of every table in my doc on these parameters:

    • Height of row = .25in
    • Top and bottom Inset = .04in

    2. put the rest of the cells in these settings:

    • Row height = .12in
    • Top and bottom Inset = .12in

    Here is where I am:

    app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem (). tables.everyItem (Rows) [0] .height = ".25 in."

    app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem (). tables.everyItem () .topInset of Rows [0] = '.04 in. "

    app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem (). tables.everyItem () .bottomInset of Rows [0] = '.04 in. "

    for (x = 1; x < app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem (). tables.everyItem (). rows.length; x ++) {}

    app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem (). tables.everyItem () Rows [x] .height = ".12 in."

    }

    for (x = 1; x < app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem (). tables.everyItem (). rows.topInset; x ++) {}

    Anyone see anything that would be useful?

    Thanks in advance.

    Indeed there is a parenthesis of additional locking on this line in the screenshot (but not in your lines of the sample).

    I wonder if this construction

    for( x = 1; x < app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem().tables.everyItem().rows.length ; x++ ) {
    app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem().tables.everyItem().rows[x].heig ht = ".12 in";
    }

    each could work... For... loop expects a number of end-simple but you feed it with a table of all the lengths of line of the individual tables.

    If this does not work turn around your script. All the heights of line and the boxes using the value

    app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem().tables.everyItem().rows.everyItem().topInset = ".12 in";

    and after this, run the lines to make the adjustments of the top row.

    (Use 'Advanced editor' to be able to define syntax highlighting Javascript-, it makes your code a little more readable).
