I never received a Vista's Installation disc or a system recovery disk. Is there a way I can get one?
I ran sfc/scannow and it found some errors that it could not solve. I looked online and it said to use my vista installation disc to repair this. The problem is that I've never given a. The guy at Best Buy has done for me. I was going to just do the system recovery, but this isn't the same thing. (Or so I was told.) Then.
Hello
Microsoft provides no brand of computers, Dell, HP, etc. with the vista installation diskettes
you get from your computer manufacturer's recovery disks
They provide a nominal cost of $
manufacturer recovery discs put your computer about how you bought
manufacturer recovery disks do not give you the repair install the options you need
If you want a vista microsoft dvd to help you solve the major problems that CFS can find you will have to ask your friends if they have one, and if you can borrow

How to create a Vista 64 installation disc, in preparation for a windows 7 UPGRADE?
I'm about to buy a 64-bit Windows 7 UPDATE. My Toshiba laptop came with a Vista 64 operating system CD. I know there is a patrician who has this info.
How create a Vista 64 installation disc if (God forbid) I never do a regeneration full of my system?
You must contact the manufacturer of the computer for this procedure - it's their process, not Microsoft. Procedures vary by manufacturer and sometimes even depending on the model. The information can be displayed on their Web site, if you are looking for that specific computer - but if available and free, I would just contact support by phone or chat or however and the explanation directly from a human being. Often only make a set of disks, so don't forget to do things right the first time.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

can I reinstall vista without installation disc
Ive lost the installation disc toshiba satellite
Hello
read the information below
How to reinstall Vista
Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it
they do it for a nominal cost of $
http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp
also ask them if you also have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence
or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc
Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

I bought a new hard drive. I don't have a system recovery disk. Can I load Windows Vista from another source and activate using my original product key?
Hello
There is no download available from Microsoft Vista.
Contact the manufacturer of your laptop and ask them to send a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a small fee.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key determines which Edition is installed.
Builders recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs
See you soon.
p.s. If the old hard drive is still installed and running before you change on hard drives and you never received the to purchase recovery discs, you can make the recovery discs from the recovery Partition which should be on the old hard drive. You will need to request that the manufacturer how to do as each computer manufacturer has their own way of making records of this partition recovery.
It depends on the old hard drive still works.

Satellite L 40 Vista Premium - cannot read the original system restore disk
My satellite L40 was bought a year ago, and so far I never needed the system restore CD. But now I have a missing system file so I will try to re - install. But my computer will not read the CD, if I insert it before starting my computer or windows Vista.
Is there a way I can download the CD to restore the system on the Internet?Hello
No you can't download because that would hurt microsoft license stuff. I recommend you ask a partner in your country for replacement, if your machine is still under warranty.
Please go here and find the service provider nearest to them for help.

I have a laptop HP HDX 18 that had 64-bit Windows Vista installed, with a Vista recovery on his C drive Partition. Since then, I installed clean 64-bit Windows 7 Professional of his Microsoft licensed DVD, that I still have. I kept with all (200 +) of Windows updates.
Now, I want to create a system (Flash drive) for this laptop recovery disk, but my concern is that he will lead the recovery in its Partition Vista original, installed at the factory. If I use W7 administration tools installed to create a system recovery disc, it will recover the old Windows Vista or Windows 7? In addition, it would be nice to have a system recovery disk that had the latest W7.
I'm not looking to install the drive link below; However, I prefer the system recovery disk to restore my laptop to its W7 system most recently updated, rather than start over.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/installing-reinstalling-Windows#1TC=Windows-7
What choices do I have? Where can I find the appropriate instructions?
Thank you very much for your help!

I lost at the age of Mythology the titans expansion disc, but I still have key code, is there a way I can download age of mythology and put the key in to make it work?
Hi mxbot221,
It is very unfortunate to know that you have lost the game disc. It is indeed a nice game that requires precision and work of the spirit.
But the good thing is that you can download the demo version of the game among the links below and then, can enter the product key to unlock all its features.
Here are the links: 1) http://www.microsoft.com/games/pc/titans.aspx
2) http://www.microsoft.com/games/titans/downloads.aspx
In addition, you can try to contact the Microsoft Supplemental Parts team for a replacement CD. To locate the phone number, visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh; EN-US; CNTACTMS

Original title: Windows XP in virtual mode
I have Windows 7.1 with Windows XP in virtual mode so that I can use older products, not supported by 7.1. In virtual XP mode, there is an Internet Explorer 8. I understand that after Microsoft eliminates support for XP that can cause future security issues. I run the latest version of Internet Explorer on my Windows 7.1. If I leave the IE8 on the virtual XP mode but never use it, is there a way I can be hacked through it? Should I remove the IE8 completely of the virtual Windows XP?
If you never use IE (any version), it cannot be 'hacked '.
If you wanted to be doubly secured, you can prevent accidental use by uninstalling...
- Open the Control Panel - Add or remove programs
- Remove IE8 (and IE7 if necessary) - click to highlight, then click on remove
- Click Add/Remove Windows components
- Uncheck the box Internet Explorer and click Next
