  Hello Thomas_Hunt, can you try to start firefox in safe mode by pressing the SHIFT key during startup of this and see if the problem occurs there too? Maybe a theme or hardware acceleration intrudes here...

  If safe mode does not work, you can try to disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general and or disable addons that could cause the problem.   I'm new to Captivate.  In other words, I use it for the first time.  I am trying to create the first slide in my project.  I want a text to scroll on the right screen and completely out of the screen on the left.  I was able to make the text fade in and out and have music in the background (at first), but I can't understand how the full scroll from right to left, or if it is possible.

  Hello and welcome to the forums.  You don't say what version of Captivate you use, but if you have version 5 or 5.5, the answer is Yes, you can have a blade of legend of text on the screen.  You can use a to do.  To open the effect controls panel, use the window menu, and then select effects.  Select the caption text that you want to have the scroll.  I'll demonstrate using version 5.  You should see:

  

  Click on the fx to open the menu effects.  Select the trajectory, then RightToLeft.

  Drag the right end of the effect of RightToLeft to length of parchment.  Here I show that I have extended it to the length of the slide, 3 seconds:

  

  Then look at the text of the caption on the slide.  If it is enabled, you should see a 1 in his lower right:

  

  The 1-click and you will get starting and ending points of the motioin effect.  Drag the start point at the right edge of the blade and the end point at the left edge of the slide.

  

  When the slide plays, the text caption will start on the right edge of the screen and pass through and leave the left edge of the screen in 3 seconds.

• DV5Z w/HDMI does not fill the entire screen

  I have a DV5Z with installed Blu - ray player. When I connect the Dv5z for my Panasonice 42 in plasma 720 p with the HDMI cable, the entire screen is not used in full picture format. There is a border of 1 inch around top, bottom, left and right.  My DV5Z has ATI HD 3200 graphics card and I do not understand where I need to adjust it so that it works ok. I already had a Dv5T with Intel 4500 and it worked fine, (in fact he filled a little too much about "1/4 of the image has been off the screen) but not the DV5z and I don't want to watch some blu ray movies with 1inch border around the screen. Where are the settings for me to adjust so that I can watch movies under the eyes?

  Try using the ATI Catalyst software.  You should see an option for HDTV in the list on the left in the Advanced view.  It has a few decent explanations on how to use it to configure your TV.  I do not have my dv5z before me right now so I can't be more specific.  If you need more details, let me know, I got exactly the same problem and got it working.

  It is quite a wild guess, but try typing your key to ScrLck (e.g. stop scroll) once. Otherwise, you can consult the documents of the game on how to disable this behavior.

  Try the 11 key function toggle to see if this switches between full and glass screens.

  as I usually do, is to create a separate function that manually assigns to each field and property reverts to its original state. There is not a function that does it for you. You must create your own. hope that helps good luck!
