  Yes, the file has an extension of html. I tried "html" and "htm".
  I finally solved this problem by uninstalling Firefox and then put it back. After that, I was able to get it to import the bookmarks file.

  Make sure that you are logged on the Adobe site, having cookies enabled, clearing your cookie cache.  If it fails to connect, try to use another browser.

  I am trying to understand the workflow in detail. Let me explain quickly what is the right process:

  1. Sync your phone to your desktop (you already did that)
  2. Clean your computer (you already did that)
  3. Follow these steps in the newly installed Firefox https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How%20to%20sync%20Firefox%20settings%20between%20computers?s=sync & r = 3 & as=s#w_what-if-im-not-near-my-first-computer

  That of all, make sure you have the key to Firefox Sync in order to access your Firefox Sync account again. Do not create a new or if not you will remove the data from the server. If you have lost your key synchronization, you can get it from your phone by installing the add-on on your Android device: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/aboutsynckey/

  Before reformat my PC, I exported all my favorites via the HTML file. I reformatted, installed Firefox, then attempted to import all my favorites. I go to the import function and choose the bookmarks HTML file and nothing happens at all. I tried to use other browsers for import, but nothing happens. I don't know how to solve this problem.

  I thought that maybe I could transfer the HTML file in a JSON file, but I couldn't find a way to do it, even after it is renamed file extensions. The HTML file may possibly be corrupt? I'm running out of ideas on how to do to import my favorites!

  I managed to fix it.

  (1) I opened the HTML file with notepad.
  (2) I then went to file > save as >

    -Then changed the file type to, "All Types"
  

  (3) then in file name I named it Bookmarks.JSON

    -The HTML file now saved as a JSON backup and I was able to import it.
  

  However,.

  There is still no patch or reason to explain why the backup HTML does not. I strongly suggest you Firefox fix, as it was highly agitation.

  a. you are in help for first items 11, not 10, and his description of the Action/music bar tab.

  b. more unlikely since first elements 11 was not yet released, there is a typing error in the

  First Elements 10 help.

  In first 10, chronology workspace Elements, see Audio Tools (speaker icon) above the timeline and his choice of SmartSound.

  Combine the files as usual via file - create - combine files into a single PDF, just click on the Options button in this window and make sure that 'Add bookmarks' is checked.
