  The only place where you can find a driver for that LAN is the manufacturer of the local network because they are the only ones who provide them.   Thank you very much... which seems to do the job for letting me use the network card.  Once I installed the chipset you me too, my IE was able to get the net.  The only thing that happened that I wonder about, what I choose to accept or not something RAID, which I accepted and it seems to work with one small annoying side affect: I can't get Windows Update to run.  I get this error: 0x8024400a and I spent literally hours looking for and trying different solutions, which none have worked. Do you think that there is something that would change this Nvidia software which would cause that?   I get out to the internet OK and can go to any web page.  It runs a bit slow, but I thought it might be because I'm using a newly installed Win XP and it has only 2 SP.  My next step in getting this thing to work was to run Windows Update and anti-virus stuff set.   Any way, thanks again for your help.

  I also have the option 'Download Chrome' or 'Applet install', and when I click on install applet, the message "Failed to install Java Applet" appears after a few seconds.

  I'm on OS X 10.8.5, the two Firefox and Java are the last activated version. I went in the Java settings in system preferences and made sure it was "enabled", I deleted the folder for temporary files as well, I also deleted from my history in Firefox and cookies, cache and restarted.

  I don't know what else to do, please help, I do not want to install Chrome.

  I think I know what is happening.

  Please try these steps:

  • Click on the lock to the left of the URL (https://drive.google.com/#my-drive).
  • Click on 'more information... ».
  • Click "Permissions".
  • In the section "activate the Plugins', search for 'Java (TM) Platform SE 7 U' and select 'allow '.
  • Close the "Page Info" window.
  • Follow "Transfer files through Google Drive (in one browser other than Chrome)" to https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2424368 once more.

  Let us know if that fixes the problem.
