Help! I've turned the display of 90 degrees!

I was working on my husband's computer, and I messed up the monitor.   Now, I try to understand what I did and put it before he finds out.   I've been locked up computer in iTunes...... I hit CNTR-ALT-DEL to go to the Task Manager, I tried to close the applications, but it is on the page of "process" instead.   He was frozen... I hit any button to see if I could get the computer to do anything.   Finally, I went on the "Start button", hit restart computer and he quit and came back, but now the display on the screen rotates 90 degrees clockwise.    I really need to ask your help see if I can put this back before my opinion of her husband.    He's a WONDERFUL guy, but it's not going well.   My Christmas present may hang in the balance.   Thank you!

Hi, look, try this, press ctrl + alt + arrow (right or left). This should solve your problem.

  • Windows 7 turns the display off, but doesn't go to sleep

My Windows 7 will not more in mode 'sleep'.  It will turn the display at 5 minutes (by the Power Options settings), but it won't put the computer to sleep after 30 minutes.  The screen is off, but the hard drive flashes.  The power light on the computer is turned on, not the sleep mode color amber.

If I choose Start, stop, sleep, the computer enters mode "Eve".

How can I get the computer to go to sleep automatically?

Follow the below mentioned steps to solve the problem:
    1. click on start and open Control Panel.
    2. open Power Options then select the option to change when the computer sleeps.
    3. click on change advanced power settings, under Multimedia settings make sure that you don't have to stop the idling to sleep

  • Problem LOV... Turning the display value and no key-value

Hello. Sorry for my bad English.

I have a problem with LOV dynamic pop up.

I have a simple form called nom_element and item_code containing the form A. users can create, update, and delete a new item using this form.
    Another form called form B has a field called item_code item_code is a dynamic field of LOV pop up and a request for this LOV is like that;

    Select nom_element d, r from item_master by item_code item_code;

When I create the new record in the form B and LOV allows to find and get the item code, LOV works very well
and he returns the key value in the field of item_code.
But when I try to update the record (I have a link to the page of the form B), item_code field value is not the key-value of LOV, but is a
    Display value of LOV.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hello:

If you want to display the key value, and then create a new field that can be a test field or a tabled text (display only) and assign the value of the column of the reporrt link or just the column as it appeas in the database.

If you use the form at the same time create and view, you might want to do this new field, but also your LOV field as conditional.

  • What happened to the display of the grid of television shows

So at some point I lost grid view for television shows and just saw column well I hate column see its wasting so much screen space. It makes things I look at on itunes a major rupture of the chore of utility. I spent like 2 hours trying to get the display of the grid. I want to say I could navigate as well just threw finder. can anyone help me get back the display of the grid. Movies have always the possibility.

There is a new version of iTunes (just out) with significant changes.  Is your version of the new 12.4.0 or earlier?

Looks like you may have an older version, so if this is true (and it is still iTunes 12), the view of your library is driven from the right end of the horizontal bar that crosses the window iTunes.  If you see a simple list with columns, it is probably set now to the list of episodes.  Change this setting so that you see the view that you call "grid view".

  • PAVILION TOUCH AIO 23 ": turn the rear display after having turned it off

I apologize for this issue, but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.  My question is this:

I decide to turn off the display.

After [enter here] I decide I want to turn my screen back on [enter reason here].

The question is: How can I enable the display on?  I flip the mouse? Do I press the power button?

I want to just be sure of my options before I commit to simply turn off my screen.  Thank you. And once again, if this question was already posted I can't find anywhere.

    Hi there @HannTheftAudio,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you have a problem with your computer startup. I'm happy to help you.

As you have already ordered a new power supply and the Board of Directors, you can wait for those to come. But if you prefer try this document: desktop HP - computer starts not (Windows 10.8)

Please let me know how it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

I apologize for the inconvinience, but has nothing to do with the general question.  The question should simply turn off my screen and how do I turn it back on.  There is an option to turn off my screen, which leaves the computer running (which is the general point of view).  All I wanted to know is how I would re - turn on the screen.

I was able to answer my own question however: all I had to do was

    1. just move/click the mouse

    or

    2. press a button on my keyboard

    or

    3. just my touchscreen (as I have a touch screen).

  • HP Pavilion DV6-6117dx - horizontal flickering lines appear after the display turns off automatically

The DV6-6117dx model (as well as other HP Pavilion laptops) have experienced a problem where the screen will display a flickering, horizontal line to the top of the screen, after it has been automatically disabled (note: not in sleep or Standby Mode).

There is a setting to "off the display of [X] minutes" in power options.  I have my DV6-6117dx value dim the screen after 10 minutes and turn it off after 15 minutes of inactivity.  Sometimes, but not always, when I move the mouse to turn the screen back on, a couple of flickering horizontal lines will appear at the top of the screen.  It is very annoying, and the only way to remove them and to have the screen back to normal is one.) put the computer to sleep and wake it or b.) restart the entire system.

Everything by putting the laptop to sleep and wake-up is not a huge problem, I wouldn't do that, period.  I owned a laptop Toshiba for about 6 years and never had a problem with her like this (the reason why I bought a new laptop was because my old man was 6 years old and the technology was outdated a lot, a lot).

HP says it's a software problem, but it did come with a way to fix it yet (at least not that I've found).  I ask all the 'Experts' out there if they have a final way to solve this common issue experienced by some models of HP laptops?  I said to uninstall and reinstall video drivers without success.  I said to install video drivers only to AMD, and then only to HP, and then only from Windows Update, but none of these solutions worked.  I said to update BIOS, but it does not solve the problem.  I told him to try to restore the system to the factory settings, but this did not help.  It is obviously a software problem, but nobody at HP seems to have a definitive solution, how to fix it.  Is my only hope to return to my laptop to be replaced by a different model entirely?

I hope that someone out there has an answer, it's a common issue that I know a lot of owners of portable HP experienced.  Thank you!

  • Is turn off display in the power settings is going to make me a little download speed

    Hello

So, I'll have to download 30 GB of updates for a game and I want to take less time as possible. I was wondering if the display disappears will help. Is there another way to speed up the download?

    Thank you.

No, turn off your screen won't help.  The best way to get faster downloads is to contact your internet service provider.  It is the bottleneck of your connection speed.

In addition, limit that uses your Internet connection.  For example, do not play video games or watch Netflix in the lounge while you download on your PC online.

  • Windows 7 turn off the display does not work when you use empty screen saver.

My friend is running Windows 7 x 64 on a desktop and x 32 on a laptop.  He found that if he chooses the screensaver empty (set to 5 minutes) and will display at 10 minutes, the screen never goes round.

On my laptop, I use the screensaver of ribbons with the same settings and my laptop screen goes off as planned.  However when I go to the screen saver, the display is never off (actually so that empty screen saver was active, my mouse reappears after a certain time).

There seems to be a Bug with the Windows 7 built in empty screen saver.

    Hi archimedes027,

I hope you are well, I understand you want to listen to music but have no display on your pc.

If this is correct, there are two options that are available to you first open windows media player, right-click in an empty space at the bottom of the player and select options in the verification of the Advanced box section to enable the screensaver during playback,

the second option you have is if you use another music player ie itunes then in the section Customization via right click on a empty space on your desktop, select the screen saver options and set it to none, and then click battrey you and together turn display both you need , windows 7 will be dim your office after a short period and in your turn to your screen settings.

hope this helps let me know

  • The display turns off after a few minutes and shows 'No Signal'

Hey guys, I was faced with a weird problem recently. My desktop monitor turns off by itself after a few minutes, but the works of CPU, I can hear the fan running and see the lights blink. One thing I noticed, is that when the screen turns off, the light Orange on the processor rest on which flashes normally just. My PC works normally on the mode without failure, but worse, safe mode, but I can't work on my software CorelDRAW. This may be the problem of SMPS? because recently, my entries of mouse and keyboard did not work due to which I got a USB keyboard and a mouse. I recently installed Windows 7 64 bit, but I think that shouldn't cause the problem since I have worked with Windows 64-bit before on the same machine.

    PC configuration-

    Intel Core 2 Duo 4500 @ 2.20 Ghz processor
    ASUS P5QPL-AM motherboard
    3 GB RAM
No (not sure, maybe integrated) graphics card
    1 TB harddrive

PS - I couldn't find an exact category for my problem.

    Hey Archer
Currently, I formatted my Windows 7 and installed Windows 8 and am these problems persist. I have not upgraded but formatted my C drive and installed a fresh new copy of windows 8... so I thnk it may be a problem of the SMP. Can he?

    Hi sunny

It can or mentioned being SMPS... the reason is... you have already said that the computer or the monitor works fine in safe mode! But since his past even when you install Windows 8,
    To make troubleshooting a
    1. go to the Bios and reset all default by selecting the optimum setting in the bios... Given that your motherboard has got characteristic overclocking and selection of the IGD... let him get by default...  Start the computer and check if the monitor turns off always.
    2. If step 1 does not solve your problem... then go to the power option in the control panel and select your power setting of the high-performance system where you can set your monitor to never go to sleep.  See what's happening... If the monitor still going to sleep even after this setting... then you have a problem with drivers or the motherboard... try updating the drivers and see if that helps.
    3. If the update of drivers did not help... so the next option is to review your material... try to get a replacement screen and see if this could solve this problem... A things you can deduct that if this also fails, then the obvious reason is that your monitor is ok... and problem must be the motherboard.
    4. Firstly check the display port... does it feel loose?
    a. do you have this port pins come out?
    b. your motherboard has two power connections (EATXPWR 24-pin and a 4-pin ATX 12V... are both connected?
    c. your SMP should be at least 400W according to recommendations from the manufacturer to you. Check this box...
    d. then ofcourcse obviously... Reinstall the Rams and other external devices.
Follow these steps and let me know your comments for each
