• Help! -Live Web Cam Chat in an E-Learning Session of Captivate

  I really hope that someone can help me with this one.  I do an e-learning session in Adobe Captivate, which must contain a live cam on the web chat.  I was thinking about creating a flash video to record the live web cam chat, but have no idea how do.  Unfortunately it is a skill that I have not had the opportunity to learn and have never had to do this before.  Its very new and advanced for me!

  Very well. Gotcha!

  To start, you will not want to Captivate allows to capture Web Chat. I recently tried some full motion using Captivate 4 and it is rarely going to give you anything remotely close to what you want. So, you will need investigating another software to capture Web Cam stuff.

  May investigate another Adobe called Visual Communicatorproduct.

  Once you get something that is capable of capturing the webcam, it should spit back a file in format FLV or SWF output. You would then drop the FLV into Captivate. (Or present it in a frame on a web page).

  I don't want to seem shocking, but given your two comments-

  v.3.0.1 has been installed on the server of my team.

  and

  Decompression of the files is quite a basic operation of these days, you're absolutely sure that you want to update yourself (which while it's pretty easy is even more complex than the decompression of a file). If it was your own server I would say "go ahead", however since you mentioned that it is your server team is there anyone else on your team who can help you in the task?

  2. create a tablespace that is dedicated to the development of the APEX.

  It would be something that your DBA can do for you.

  3. save my APEX application such as Oracle Partner program

  If you have installed Yosemite by downloading it from the App Store, it will be in your App Store purchases tab. If Yosemite is currently installed, when you start in the recovery Partition (command - R on a restart), you can reinstall Yosemite.  In the recovery Partition, you can also restore Time machine and disk utility is available.

  I'll assume you're on Windows 7. Windows Media Player 12 is not supported on Windows Vista or XP and as such, you will need to go back to Windows Media Player 11.

  You can check the permissions in the registry to ensure that it is able to record information.

  Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

  Open the registry editor by clicking on start, type regedit.exe in the search box and press on enter, you may be prompted to continue.

  In the registry editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Microsoft, MediaPlayer, then Preferences.

  It should be an element named LastLocation_26, right-click on it and select Rename, and rename it to old LastLocation_26.

  Leave the open registry editor and open Media Player, then move it to your favorite place and close Media Player.

  In the registry editor, press F5 on your keyboard and check if LastLocation_26 has been recreated.

  If this is not the case, there is probably a permissions problem.

  If so, the location must be registered.
