  This underlines the 'Hello' and bolden ' here! You can add the css inline style too to add the colors of the background also.

  I created my website in Flash and I use dynamic text with a scroll bar. I want just the first couple of words in a paragraph to show bold and the rest plain. It seems well in Flash but when I publish it, the whole paragraph is "BOLD".

  some words or characters, same, but for dynamic text fields, you will have

  Thanks a lot for your help. I finally found it and done in a much simpler way with much less code. I used symbols that I mentioned in previous posts, following this same actionscript help basis but put my video clips on frame 1, used a stop action and ended up with PlayMC()

• Dynamic text field generates error when appointed

  I have a clip (to be used as a button) which I would like to place a dynamic text field that will be the label of the button. However, when I do that, Flash gives me a "1046: Type was not found or is not a constant of compilation: TextField." error message. This only happens if the text field has an instance name. Of course, without an instance name, you cannot access the element to change the text of the label.
  
  Knowledgebase suggested by clicking on the option to export of CFCS in publication settings. It does not help. My expectation is that I just need to import a class. If you need more information about the structure of the code, let me know. CS3, AS3.

  I am trying to create a multi-page form that allows uses to register the products.
  The first page asks you name etc., and on the second page, I want to say "Welcome"+ username "!" -This kind of thing...
  The problem is that I can't seem to keep the values of dynamic text through the pages.
  
  I can get it to repeat the entry on the first page with this code:

  However when I call on the second page it is not defined:

  If your textfield (_root.firstname_repeat) does not exist on the 2nd frame, its text property will be indefinite.

  to remedy, or extend the existence of your textfield in frameworks or use a variable to store its text property (in your manager onChanged) and use this variable to retrieve the value you need.

  I found my own answer and thought I should share it with you all. Since I am very surprised that you will use ActionScript to tell the film to allow dynamic text or a dynamic png of files to print. Basically, you add the following lines to each instance of the text dyanmica or a clip. I was alos using a pre-constructed component, so I had to abandon this component an instance name.

  }

  I called the printpic function just to stay in alignment with the name of the movie clip instance on the stage who was peak.

  Then, all printed as if it was supposed to.

  For some reason when the user refreshes the browser, the "Welcome to our...' dynamic text in the middle of my swf does not load in IE 8" I think it's somehow associate may cache?

  Works fine for me in IE8, although the text has lagged by completing the sections.
