  I would appreciate your help with 3 questions on ==> HP Pavilion p6267c-b & HP Pavilion a4316f-b models:

   

  1) between the 2 models, which one should I buy?   I have change the raw images of jewelry for my company & store that hundreds of huge image files, sometimes with 7-10 open in Photoshop Elements to 1 times... It is 14 mg/piece. I want to ==> the color on the monitor that looks like crisp & precise, lots of storage, possibility to browse the web while the cpu is to load large files from my camera or mobile directories of large files elsewhere. (On my existing computer, try these multiple tasks is asking too much!)

  (2) or the other model has freeze-up mysterious reliability problem OR any other problems?

   

  3) fans how each model there? I can't find this info in any spec (see links above), but because the cpu will be inside a piece of furniture (it has a ventilated well back), I want to keep it cool! My current 2005 custom has 5 fans. The fan noise doesn't bother me.

• Need help to choose between Streaming & Interactive Server

  We are the Windows Media to Flash Media Server server migration and so I need advice. Here are my requirements:

  1. Be able to deliver videos in playlists. For example: Insertion of ads before the main video
  2. Restrict access to certain videos will be available for only paid customers
  3. Be able to create applications where users can upload their own videos. I guess that this requires that the server of the company. However, this requirement is not critical.

  Another tip for the first time is more than welcome. Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

  You will need the interactive version of create playlists on the server side. Your other option is to get the streaming version and create a playlist in an XML file (for example), which supported the client-side custom player video (you need to have this done) and go from there.

  To create a playlist that automatically runs as TV and people just "connect" each time, you need to use good FMIS. I don't see why you need the Enterprise version, so you don't have to buy.

• Choose between gtx970 and 780ti at the same price - especially for first pro (no game)

  I must choose between (new) gtx970 and 780ti (second hand a friend, he buyed it but never mounted or even he unboxed) specially for first pro / some aEffets and PShop (it's the working pc, no game... too )

  780ti gtx 355 euros

  Read the card (cudacores, bandwiths, etc.), it seems easy to choose the 780ti especially because this isn't for the games, but I'm not professional equipment, then maybe you could give me some advice...   I know that it's almost a religion, what people choose as their host for vmware workstation operating system.  So, I'll give you as many details as possible about my situation and maybe this well informed community can help me choose a good generation.

  So here's my situation.

  I want to be able to run esxi cluster on a laptop computer at r2 within vmware workstation, and then to the breast of this windows cluster 08, linux (various distributions server and desktop), windows 7, windows xp,.   I know it's a little aggressive, so I install the equipment as follows:

  2760qm (quad core 2.4 ghz)

  16 GB of ram (to start I'm going up to 32 shortly)

  120 GB ssd drive

  1 gb ethernet.

  Everything on a thinkpad mobile w520.

  So up to the requirements.

  I want a host with overhead operating system resources and footprint of small disk, stability and good performance.   I am very familiar with windows of all flavors.  I am a novice on linux and a total noob to BSD.  I'm comfortable from any platform that I'm a fast learner.

  My number one preference would be stability.  Number two would be performance.  Number 3 is marked by record low (because of small ssd), number 4 ease of use...   So there you have it.  I read all the research that I met and they all seem to be pre2010 and vary enormously in the opinions.  So I ask this question even in a more modern than laptops Kingdom now take some very nice hardware configurations.

  If you have the choice between XP 64 and Windows 7 - choose XP 64. It will be surpassed Windows 7 with any effort.
  Even better 2003 64.
  In my experience the worst choice is Win 2008 R2 - he has the most problems.

  Reminder: here at home I run win 7-64, 2008 R2 and 32 2003 Enterprise in dualboot on a variety of 8 GB of RAM

  I have been using Mozilla Firefox years (currently Firefox 17.0.1), but lately the convenient option (sidebar) to search the web or the New Zealand pages disappeared.

  I can click on 'Search tools' - 'the web' - 'Pages of the New Zealand' (and do the same again when I want to perform an Internet search), however, it is certainly not easy to use.

  Is there a way to get back one click the option to choose between the web search or local search?

  It depends on the purpose of your laptop (eg. portability vs gaming). With respect to the components, peple might disagree with me, but I recommend to choose configurations Intel Centrino. This means that the a mobile processor from Intel, Intel Chipset, Intel Graphics and Intel wireless adapters.

  The reason is that that Intel components usually work out of the box with Linux, Intel still provides open source drivers, even for the acceleration hardware 3d. Even if the yield is low compared to ATI or Nvidia.

  I don't know, however, if a Toshiba laptop is the best solution. Computers laptop Toshiba have a large number of soft keys, etc. then you might be required to do a lot of tweaking.

  I am from Europe and it is unclear to me how it works with portable computers on other continents, but I think it must be the similar principle as here in Europe.
  What you can do now is to install original recovery image and see what options will be available first boot after installation of recovery image.

  Think about a recovery media too. Use the preinstalled recovery media creator and create recovery DVD or USB.

  I have a problem of choice between almost everything I buy. I always look on what brand it is, what is the price and many other things. Now, I got a hard on for me. If I have an iphone 16GB 6 more, I'll have the size that I like a lot, but I will not be able to have so many apps. Money is limited. I would get a 6 and 64 GB but I have not enough money.  I do not know. You guys tell me what you think. I know that this question seems weird, but still. Tell me what you think.

  You should never go for nothing less of what you want! If you want a bigger screen, because the larger screen is just more awesome, I would like to put up for her, that's an extra $100 for the 64 GB and allows you to save up some cash for the largest size that you prefer.
