  • Why Web pages show nbsp; all the pages after the last update?

    My operating system is Windows XP. After the last update for Firefox 29,0, web pages started showing nbsp; through, including my home page. I've never seen until the last update. Internet research indicate that this indicates a space when the web page is developed, but is not intended to be displayed. Why am I now see this on most of the web pages I visit? Is there a change or fix that I can install to ban this appears?
    Thank you

    You can attach a screenshot?

    Use a type of compressed as PNG or JPG image to save the screenshot.

    & nbsp; is the HTML entity for an unbreakable space code and should not appear as text, if you see this on a lot of pages then something like a Firefox extension or other (security software) might be causing such a question.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

    Start the computer in Mode safe mode with network support Windows (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test.

  • My web page uses svg images, but when the svg is printed by Firefox they are pixelated with bad resolution.

    I realized a web page that uses svg images. One of them is here:
    http://donwagner.dk/JZSS5.4.svg.

    The svg is produced by Adobe Illustrator, CS5 version. Seen in any browser, the images look good at any magnification, but when I print the page in Firefox, the image is blurry seriously, apparently because that pixelation uses the wrong resolution.

    The same phenomenon occurs in all browsers, not quite as bad in Chrome, but still not perfect.

    Do you have plans to fix this bug, or do you have a work around?

    If I use Safari as my browser, the hotkey opens on another Web page, as it should, without going through a php file download process when the Firefox browser is used. What gives?

    Oops, I need to sign up for anything on the site...

    Here are a few things you can do additional tests:

    (1) when you download the newsletter, it is in PDF format?

    (A) on your Mac, you may need to name the file downloaded with a .pdf at the end of the file name extension so that it can open in Adobe Reader (or an extract or other PDF reader that you use).

    (B) on your PC, can you say display the newsletter if it's displaying in the plugin Adobe Acrobat, PDF Viewer integrated Firefox or another plugin?

  • Printed Web page shows only about 20% of the page, centered

    Never had a problem, all of a sudden I can't print a Web page. Instead of everything on the page, it displays only about 20% of the horizontal line, from the left margin. the printed area is centered on the paper. In addition, the amount that is printed extends over five pages, when normally I could print the Web page on a single sheet. Maybe it's the best description printed looks as if the printer thinks the paper is 2.5 x 4 inches. Check the paper size, margins, etc..

    You check in properties of this printer from Firefox?

    Hello

    To the page that you want to have as your home page (remember the name of the site?).

    IE - Tools - Options - general tab - Internet then click on current use - APPLY / OK.

  • Centers of my web page into design mode, but not when seen online.

    I am new to web design and of course, on this forum.  I had some experience in VBA and Fortran, so when the original designer left, I was the only one in the Organization, ready to attack the site and try to teach me how to do work and keep up-to-date.  We were financially in the Red at the time, so hiring outside help would have been almost impossible.  We break finally even now, which was our objective as a non-profit organization.

    So I got the computer and the responsibility of maintaining the Web site at a non-profit for children in Florida a couple of years ago, and I'm doing fairly well with it so far, even though my level of knowledge is very deep.  AsI has said before, I am completely self-taught, mainly by the method of trial and error, so please excuse what probably is a very basic question.

    My site is FloridaBandTournament.com.

    The site works well enough for my users, but from an appearance point of view, the pages are always on the left side of the screen.  I would like to focus the pages on the screen so that it looks a little better.  They are on a black background - do not know how the background got there, but it works very well for me.  When I tried centering the pages, I googled my way to the statement text-align: center, and after placing a few different places in the code, he suddenly seemed to work, at least in the in Dreamweaver 8 (I also inherited from the software, which is I know is old, but if I'm--will be 70 soon, and make my work free of charge to the Organization).  But when I went to a couple of different browsers, it still shows the site on the left.  I tried Firefox and IE.  I am at a loss to know what to do.

    When I found this forum, I thought that maybe someone could help me figure out what to do to make the balance of the page in a simple way for this old geezer.  I would of course welcome.

    I don't know what I should talk to you, but I thought that if I sent the code in the body, it might be useful.

    The body code is as follows:

    [body

    background-image: url (file:///C|/Documents and Settings/user/Application Data/Macromedia/Dreamweaver 8/configuration/ServerConnections/www/images/background.gif):

    background-color: #000000;

    margin-top: 0px;

    left margin: 0px

    margin-bottom: 0px

    margin-right: 0px

    text-align: center

    ]

    None of the pages in the current site have this code again - I have a page of the trial that I have tested.  The trial page is accessible from the link at the bottom of the 'Links' page to "Show host Infoormation" (the misspelling is temporary and intentianal so I can find the darn test link myself when I want).

    I would be happy to provide any information that could help someone understand what I have and what I'm trying to do, but again, I am self-taught, so I have little understanding of the technical terms.  Of course, I'd appreciate any help.  Thanks in advance.

    Obviously first make a back-up of the pages/sec.

    Switch to code view in Dreamweaver and find the html below. Its near the top of the page after the css. You don't need the first table

    so you can remove that. This is the second table that we are interested. Below, I've added id = 'WrapperPage' opening

    Then add to your css styles in the head section of the page.

    {#pageWrapper}

    margin: 0 auto;

    }

    You will need to do this for each page of the site you want centered, that could be a pain if you have a lot of pages.

    As your background image is linked to your local computer it's why you do not have a black background instead:

    {body

    background-image: url (file:///C|/Documents and Settings/user/Application Data/Macromedia/Dreamweaver 8/Configuration/ServerConnections/www/images/background.gif);

    background-color: #000000;

    left margin: 0px;

    margin-top: 0px;

    margin-right: 0px;

    margin-bottom: 0px;

    }

    If you want the image to appear change the link as below:

    {body

    background-image: url(images/background.gif);

    background-color: #000000;

    left margin: 0px;

    margin-top: 0px;

    margin-right: 0px;

    margin-bottom: 0px;

    }

  • Initially Web pages load very slowly, but are a lot faster if I stop and reload the page

    Whenever I have initially load ANY page of a Web site, the first page really takes a lot of time to load. All pages of this site is loading very quickly thereafter. I also noticed that if I stop the loading of the page, immediately after my first click and then click on reload, the page loads almost instantly. I am currently using Firefox 20.0.1, but this problem has occurred for a while... at least as far as Firefox 19. According to my research, I've tried a bunch of suggested solutions, but nothing helps... including: off hardware acceleration, don't select any proxy, disabled ABP, etc.. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Hello stw203, maybe try to reset all the related settings in your network configuration. enter Subject: config in the bar firefox address (confirm the message information where it appears) & are looking for any preference, starting with the network in bold (= set of users) - do a right click and put these entries to their default value.

  • Unable to open web pages in any browser, but, Yes, I am connected to the internet

    Problems with my husbands laptop. So, I would like to re - format except Windows came pre-installed, and I do not have the disks.

    Network Diagnostics show a connection to internet (in fact, I can see data sent/received). But, browsers will not open.

    When I troubleshoot network connections it shows no error.

    I ran anti-virus and anti-malware (since his account to Windows live mail maintains have hacked as well) and no program found no errors.
    Windows update set to automatic and has downloaded Security patches (another reason, I know that the internet connection is fine). The important updates are installed as I write this.

    We are in an office - all computers use the same router to access the internet and other computers do not have a problem. To check if it was a wireless issue (since my office has a wired connection), I turned my phone to a WiFi only, and it can still load pages.

    What version of IE are you using? You should take a look at your Tools/Internet Options/connections/Lan Settings and see if there is a false Proxy Server configuration it. You can also take a look at your HOSTS file so that for the same sort of thing (as you have a PC in the Office working, you can compare the settings)

    I hope this helps!

  • Problems with downloading to my host the Web page on the dreamweaver site download page.

    I've been to the host server support service, and they referred me to a Dreamweaver tutorial on that.  I have agreed to that, but he seemed to suggest the same info I was using.  No matter what I try DW sends an error message that it cannot contact the server.  I use www.lunarpages.com for the name of the FTP server as the connector, my domain name as FTP address, username and password that I use to access lunarpages and public_html / as root on the server directory.

    I'd appreciate a lot of new ideas!

    My problem is solved and the Wiki Tutorial helped in a strange way.  I went

    Back to her and checked again that I seem to do everything

    correctly.  Who sent me to wonder about my password.  I had changed

    for my account and that was what I used for the display of the site, but - had

    not changed for the Web site.  Did that and everything worked perfectly.

    Thank you for sending me in the right direction.

  • I can't print a Web page correctly in Firefox, but CAN in Internet Explorer. What is the problem?

    I re-installed Firefox tries to correct this problem and had no success.

    There are certain rules of style that Firefox renders correctly on the screen but it does not properly handle in the press. These bugs seem to have a low priority because many of them have been around for years.

    In some cases, there is a fairly simple solution, but in other cases, it is simply easier to use IE or an Add on PDF.

    Is the problem that is easily accessible without a login page? In this case, you want to post the URL to get the suggestions?
