  Lightroom cannot open the catalog named 'xxx' because it is not writable and cannot be 'open '. I have attached a jpg showing the entire message.

  A new file will appear with the same name: xxx. lrcat. Lock, but has this "lock" added to this extension.

  Unfortunately not all my post processing created the xmp files or the re-doing would be easy!

  Is there a way to get around\correct this? The "lock" is auto production.

  Brad,

  You probably do not have the volume property . Which was probably put in the shop to some other user id, perhaps on another computer.

  Try this: right click on the volume of the computer, choose Properties, Security tab, set the permission for users (or anyone) for total control.

  If this does not work, you will need to hit the Advanced... button on the Security tab and click the owner on the window that comes to the top and you assign as the owner.

  I removed my my Windows7 PC D drive, because I just bought a new PC which is running Windows8.
  D drive has several old movies photos/House etc, and as such, I have enabled Bitlocker on it.
  My Win8 PC downloaded 8.1 and advised that Bitlocker should be disabled?
  I can't find how to disable Bitlocker using Win8.
  After having had a look at this MS/community/forum site here, I see a lot of people have had big problems with Win8 / combination of Bitlocker.
  Any recommendations would be great, and if it is easier to remove the D drive and disable Bitlocker using Win7 I'll just do that.

  The only thing that you can't really do in Audition is deconstruction, which was the first thing I did. Who just advanced iZotope RX2. You must be very careful with it though - it's easy to make things worse things. Everything you can do at the hearing, although the declipping is also quite sensitive to settings - it's completely trial and error, and with the original file settings would almost certainly different.

  I have in terms of filtering was to use the spectral display and highlight all the above about 6 k and mitigate on 12dB. Also, I did the same thing to everything below about 150 Hz. You would probably get without the bit of Ozone - which was just to put back some slightly different harmonics in the upper part of the band of speech - it sounded a bit clearer with it than without.

  But with all these things, you will have to make a judgment based on what you hear and what you think that you may be able to do about it - and that's down to experience, I'm afraid - no way around it.

  You describe Activation Lock, which prevents the unauthorized use of the iPad if it's lost or stolen.

  No one here can help you. The device is locked activation. Since you have made the purchase by Amazon, you can check with them to see if they will stand behind it. No one on the forum, or Apple can help you remove the lock. Only the previous owner can do this. I suggest that you demand a refund, so let's start a claim with Amazon about this dealer.
