Help on recovering database /Restore - no available controlfiles kccpb_sanity_check_2 control file sequence number mismatch

Hi all.

I really need your help on this:

(1) version: 11.2.0.1 EE / Windows.

(2) database does not start, don't get database.

I found this after using adrci:

Verification of MOS Note: 435436.1 I must:

(1) to restore a backup of a controlfile and recover

OR

(2) to recreate the controlfile

OR

(3) restore the backup data and recovery

It is a database, that I was not, up to now administer. But:

(1) I tried from the database with addressed controlfile (the one located in FRA). No luck. (Create pfile from spfile / startup pfile)

(2) the database is not mount / open. It hangs on the editing process. So I can not issue an alter database controlfile to trace.

It seems that my options are:

(1) manual creation of controlfile with open resetlogs option. This option is viable, but risky if we miss a datafile or something GOLD

(2) restoration of RMAN backup. The thing is that the most recent copy of automatic backup of controlfile is since a few days early (4 / 5 days).

I found this link: http://gavinsoorma.com/2009/07/rman-recovery-from-loss-of-all-control-files/

The procedure seems easy, but since this controlfile is not in the current SNA of database (data files, etc.). I'm not sure it if it would work.

So in short, I think I have an automatic backup controlfile and it's OK. but a little old. I can restore from this copy of CF?

Please I'm pressed real here, so help will be greatly appreciated!....

Thanks in advance!

Best regards, Luis...!

Hello

It seems that my options are:

(1) manual creation of controlfile with open resetlogs option. This option is viable, but risky if we miss a datafile or something GOLD

(2) restoration of RMAN backup. The thing is that the most recent copy of automatic backup of controlfile is since a few days early (4 / 5 days).

It seems that you have few options,

In my opinion, you should start with option 2), but you have logs archived redo and all and all the backups of catalog and perform a restore.

After, if not works, you must manually create the control files, but you are right, you must carefully on all the data files. Here a log generated in the last level 0 RMAN backup could help you, don't forget the newspaper are all entries of data for backup files.

I wish to have more ideas to help you, but I have no other.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards

Juan M

  • Error - looking for help to recover or restore my data reading disk Windows 7

    My Windows 7 Pro machine restarts automatically while I had an open browser window (I didn't actually see it happen) but now I just see a message that says "a disk read error has occurred. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart» By pressing this key sequence does nothing. Just see a black screen with this message.

    I have booted from the CD of Installation Win 7 then went to repair. I tried to do a system restore, but no restore points could be found, so I chose the first option. No bones were listed in the list. A few diagnostic tests was performed and I looked at the details. The series of tests except the last System Volume has been altered. It says to reboot to see if that could fix the problem. Unfortunately, it does not and I still see the same black screen with the error message. BTW, as you know, I can't start in safe mode. Also restart on a Win 7 CD now is no longer gives me an option of just complete repair install. I tried to use this boot drive as one secondary drive on another machine to Win 7, but the OS tells me I need to format the disk before it can be used.

    I'm willing to put in the time to try to get the data restored on this boot drive, but don't know what I should try next. Reload the operating system completely wipe the file allocation table and make the data unrecoverable? Please notify.

    Thanks for the help everyone. I was able to restore all my files to the best of my knowledge. Just a quick overview in case others are experiencing a similar problem:

    1 SSD with Win 7 wouldn't start. Message displayed "a disk read error has occurred. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart» I restarted the machine and went into the BIOS to check that the drive was detected, which it was.

    2. started to Win 7 install DVD and select the repair option. Ran chkdsk on the drive affected with FixMbr and FixBoot, BootRec. I tried to restart after each of these executables, but he led the original disc reads the message. Along the way, the error messages I received were that the System Volume was damaged and Windows cannot recover master file table.

    3 reinstalled Win 7 on a separate startup disk (HDD) and mounted the SSD corrupted as a slave drive. Win 7 brought a dialog box to reformat the SSD drive as the data seem to be unreadable. Has rejected the format option. At this point, I am unable to browse the files on the SSD via Explorer.

    4 pitted some tools part 3 the SSD which indicated that the partition table on the disk doesn't have the hexadecimal value of appropriate endpoint.

    5 Ran chkdsk /r. Finally, some luck. This process lasted several hours and repair the files of nearly 1 million. The reader become navigable via Explorer. The directory on the disk structure has been restored and files (so far I have not found the missing files).

    You seem to have:
    (a) old version of data through rman backup files
    (b) old version of the control file
    (c) Backed archived redo logs
    (d) recovery archived logs that have been recently generated
    (e) current online redo logs

    Therefore, you should be able to bring back the database in the State wherever it was when you made the abandonment.
    I don't do enough laps to be able to cite details on the commands to use (and I often find myself using the command line recovery after that file of rman restore, but the steps you need must be)

    Take a copy of security of the data current, archived and online redo log files.
    Restore the backup control file, data files, and archived recovery logs
    Recover the database by using up to cancel backup control file
    You have to do 'create datafile' bit as the collection hits the 'missing file' bit
    You will need to provide the names of the archived and log files online redo recovery reached their
    (although, presumably, you could leave copies of the logs stored in the default location)

  • Restored control file has old data file path?

    DB version: 11.2.0.2

    On a new machine, we have successfully restored under the data files to the desired location.
    run {

    set newname for datafile 2 to '/data/oradata/clspdb/clspdb_sysaux01.dbf' ;

    .
    restore database;
    }
    After the restoration when I questioned v$ datafile it still shows data from the source server file path because the restored control file still has the old path to this topic.

    Now I have to issue ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE to RENAME... Since the SQL prompt before I run the RECOVER command. Right?

    Now I have to issue ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE to RENAME... Since the SQL prompt before I run the RECOVER command. Right?

    No need. Include

     SWITCH DATAFILE ALL

    in the execution block just after the RESTORE command. That is to say. It must precede the RECOVER command. This should update the control file with the new paths

    It should look like

    run {
    set newname for datafile 1 to '/data/oradata/clspdb/clspdb_system01.dbf' ;
    set newname for datafile 2 to '/data/oradata/clspdb/clspdb_sysaux01.dbf' ;
    set newname for datafile 3 to '/data/oradata/clspdb/clspdb_undotbs01.dbf' ;

    .
    .
    .
    .
    restore database;
    switch datafile all;
    recover database;
    }

  • [HELP] Problem with the restoration and recovery in the new host

    Hi, guys!

    I have tried for two days, but still can't make it work.
    I took a hot (online) full backup archive as well as the control file logs with the SPFILE and then copy the backup to the new host with the same directory structure and parameters. Finally, I tried to restore and recover the database on the new host, but failed during the restore process.

    The original host and the new host have the same subject Oracle installed until the patch level. I couldn't understand the solution to this problem based on my knowledge on Oracle DB.

    Could someone help me out here? Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

    Jay

    In short, the RCS of the controlfile will be generally higher than corresponding SCN of the data in the event of hot backup (online) file; However, the two SNA will be the same in the case of cold (off-line) backup. Am I entitled?

    Yes, it's true. In a backup cold (assuming that the CLOSURE was not a SURRENDER but was NORMAL, TRANSACTIONAL, or IMMEDIATE) all files in the database (data files, redo log and controlfiles files) are 'compatible' - at the same point in time, to the same SCN. In a hot backup, the files are updated. RMAN is not necessarily take all the data files at the same time - for example when you have several data files, RMAN would backup the files in batches of 4 or 8 - data files are therefore controlled at different points in time. Similarly, the controlfile is saved last.

  • recover database syntax

    I had to do a restore of database; to get rid of some bad data that was loaded and when it ends, I want back at a specific time, but I'm not sure of the correct syntax.  An application provider gave me the following to try but I wanted to get other comments until something is wrong.  Any help would be great... Thank you... Mike

    I'll try to find the exact syntax and haven't seen it written anywhere, if

    recover the database up to the ' March 17, 2015 15:00.

    doesn't work, try

    recover database until time ' March 17, 2015 15:00.

    Hello

    ==================================================================================
    QUESTION: Do I need to restore a full database to be consistent?
    =====================================================

    You don't have to restore the full database. You just need to restore the backup controlfile and restore the database.
    The steps you mentioned are good restore the controlfile. After recovery, you must open the database in resetlogs.

    Also, you can take a look at this http://neeraj-dba.blogspot.com/2011/04/loss-of-control-file-in-various.html

  • recover databases when nocatalog

    Hello
    on the 11g R2 I am following a scenario on documentation: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/backup.112/e10642/rcmadvre.htm#i1008870.

    It is said:

    STARTUP NOMOUNT;
    SET DBID 676549873
    RUN
    {
      ALLOCATE CHANNEL c1 DEVICE TYPE DISK
      RESTORE CONTROLFILE FROM AUTOBACKUP
        MAXSEQ 100           # start at sequence 100 and count down
        MAXDAYS 180;         # start at UNTIL TIME and search back 6 months
      ALTER DATABASE MOUNT DATABASE;
    }

    RESTORE DATABASE UNTIL SEQUENCE 13244;
    RECOVER DATABASE UNTIL SEQUENCE 13244;
    5.If recovery was successful, then open the database and reset the online logs:

    ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS;
    My question is:
    The following should appear on SQLPLUS?
    THE VALUE OF DBID 676549873
    RESTORE THE DATABASE UP TO THE SEQUENCE 13244;
    RECOVER THE DATABASE UP TO THE SEQUENCE 13244;

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Why the need to reset the incarnation of the database?

    RMAN> run
    2> {
    3> allocate channel t1 type disk;
    4> SET DBID 41381354
    5> SET until sequence 14;
    6> RESTORE CONTROLFILE FROM 'M:\backup\MYDB\incre\CTL_MYDB_20120325_12_1';
    7> ALTER DATABASE MOUNT;
    8> RESTORE DATABASE ;
    9> RECOVER DATABASE ;
    10> ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS;
    11> }

    RMAN-06493: only UNTIL TIME clause is allowed when performing a restore from autobackup, found: sequence

    Here you must define the dbid, restore controlfile from the backuppiece if you have not set up Autobackup, mount the database, until the individual sequence #, restore & recover the database and finally open with resetlogs.

    You can refer to your 1st post on this thread for the steps that you followed to restore the database until a particular sequence :)

    You set up the database, in particular the sequence value in your very 1st post # and later performed operation restoration and recovery. Check it out ;)

    Yes, you can 'restore to cancel' several times.

  • restore / recover the control file

    Hello
    in 10g, I lost all the files of ctl and I want to restore/recovery of backups RMAN.
    Oracle documentation:
    6.4.1.4 Restoring a Control File When Using a Recovery Catalog
    Restoring a lost control file from autobackup is easier when using a recovery catalog than when using only the control file to store the RMAN repository. The recovery catalog contains a complete record of your backups, including backups of the control file. Therefore, you do not have to specify your DBID or control file autobackup format.

    To restore the control file, connect RMAN to the target database and the recovery catalog, and bring the database to NOMOUNT state. Then issue the RESTORE CONTROLFILE command with no parameters, as in this example:

    % rman TARGET rman/rman CATALOG catdb/catdb
    RMAN> RESTORE CONTROLFILE;
    After that I should publish any statement to RECOVER or change the editing of the database and alter database open would be enough?

    Thank you.
    Is there a complete senario anywhere?

    The restoration is correct.

  • I'm trying to restore my bookmarks from a json file, but I get "WARNING: script is not responding - Script: chrome://browser/content/browser.js:3580 ' message - please help

    I have no idea why will not restore my favorites. I am convinced that I even tried to reconstitute their at the time of the creation of the JSON to make sure they worked, and after that I was confident I left for a month or two then tried to recover, but it does not at all. I get the Script: chrome://browser/content/browser.js:3580 (script error unresponsive GSM) and if I click on continue or stop the bookmarks do not change their script. Please help - there are many favorites it I was counting on.

    I tried all the suggestions several times and nothing worked. I don't know if it's me or FF.
    Since none of the new backups worked, I went to my computer corrupted and copied the backup file of bookmark on a USB key. Then I stuck on my desktop. Went to 'restore backups', then to choose the file, then on the desktop. Fact. All bookmarks are copied in half a second.
    Problem solved, and I know what to do if it happens again. Trick is to remember.

  • Help please - recover Vista Activation key

    The two HARD drives on my son Jonathan HP laptop recently became corrupt and then dead beyond resuscitation (according to two disc test utilities).

    A few years ago, we bought the laptop for him.  I removed the wrong drive and formatted backup drive (because there are corrupted files), and since it does not create the rescue disks, I installed my old copy of Vista Home Premium 64.  The computer that I installed initially this O.S. has since been wiped and a new copy of Windows 7 was installed.

    The sticker with the original serial number / activation key # on the back of the laptop of Jonathan carried through beyond being readable.  However, the serial number of HP is still readable.

    1. How can I retrieve the original key to the original installation of Vista 64 Home Premium?

    1. work this key with the installation of my Vista installation disc anymore?

    2. If an answer to Q1 is not available, can I use my older disk of Vista 64 Home Premium laptop of Jonathan key successfully can continue to receive vital updates?

    3. If the answers to both 1 & 2 are negative, Microsoft will release a new key/activation code, and if so, where should I go to acquire it?

    Thanks in advance for any help on this!

    Hello

    Microsoft will not replace your lost on an HP machine pre-installed product key

    support comes from HP for this computer not microsoft

    If a computer came preinstalled vista dell HP etc it is selected as an OEM license and is linked to the original computer it is installed on and is not transferable

    When the computer dies dies of windows with her license

    He bought a retail vista license yourself it is transferable

    but you must still know the product key

    and it can only be installed on a computer at any time

    but as you never said what kind of vista licenses you have read the above and decide what licenses you have

    and if the hard drive has been wiped and the product key sticker is unreadable we cannot help you recover a product key

    If your son's computer came with preinstalled vista application to HP you send for her recovery disks

    normally is not required during their use product key entry

    BUT ask 1 HP
