[HELP] Photoshop is remove all my EXIF data

Hey guys!

I have used Photoshop CC for a few months now, and I just realized something quite recently. I was downloading some of my photos on Flickr, and they seem to have lost all the EXIF data after going through photoshop. Now, let me explain. I will pull my (JPEG) image in Photoshop, leave it as the standard background layer, run through the Camera Raw Filter and then export it to JPEG. However, all my EXIF data seems to be lost - and it's not just Flickr. I tried to view the EXIF data using a number of different programs, but he seems to have completely disappeared - it removes even the date that the photo was captured.

If anyone has a solution for me - or if I just some stupid mistake - please let me know!

Thank you!

Michael

Hey sarsaxen!

Thanks for your reply.

In fact, I thought that my problem. I had been using the 'Export' function instead of the function "Save as." It's all good now.

Thank you!

  • How can I remove EXIF data in 10 PSE

    Hello

I post some of my photos on a site of photo sharing (flickr) and in the EXIF data, I noticed that my first name is there under the name of owner.

My first research led me to believe that I could change that in my settings of the camera, but I did it and my full name is still apparent in the EXIF data on the site.  This leads me to believe that he is somewhere in post-secondary studies (10 is the version I have) that I have to change the information.

    Can someone help?

    Thank you

    Thank you, Barbara.

I don't mean to remove ALL the EXIF - just my name (it is actually useful that.)  I did not enter my full name on the camera or the Web site, so I'm a little confused as to how it happened in my EXIF in general.

The exif data helps me and others with respect to the actual shooting, so that the info is needed.  I'm trying just to remove or change my name.

EDIT - it was not a question of PSE, but he was in the camera software.

I have a large number of files to do this to.

    Can anyone help?

  • How to remove Exif data

    Hello

Can you tell me how to remove all the EXIF, tags, etc. from a photo?  And how to remove lots?  You have to add a plug-in?

    Thank you

    Barb

Barbara, also do 3rd party utilities. For professional use, I suggest this EXIF data Eraser - because it is very accurate and very simple. For a simplistic use save for Web or simply re-registration in another format is sufficient.

  • Remove all documents (3430) iBooks 4.6 & data

How can I remove all documents and data in iBooks 4.6 (3430)?

Settings > General > storage & use iCloud > storage: storage management > iBooks shows that 1.4 GB of Documents & data are consumed. My goal is to reduce that less than 100 MB.

In iBooks, I have selected the two elements in all the books and have exploited the button Delete. The elements now exist with a download of cloud icon

I also went in iBooks on OS X and hid all foreign purchased iBooks.

Settings > iBooks has the following settings by default:

    Synchronize bookmarks and Notes: off

    Synchronize Collections: off

    Online content: off

Settings > iTunes & App Store has books DOWNLOADS AUTOMATIC start.

I restarted my iPod and iBooks is always consumed 1.4 GB.

iBooks is now consumed 2.0 GB of storage.

Apparently he uploaded a certain number of books previously purchased without my permission. Opening iBooks still once, I found a number of books in my collection that I had previously deleted. I chose the books, then selected delete. These books are now gone because I have also chosen to hide these books by using iBooks on OS X in my account settings, but a number of books and collections still appear in my collection of iBooks. By selecting do not have the provision to remove. They are either collections, books that exist in the cloud (with a download icon collection iCloud), or links to an iBooks record entry for the book missing.

After doing this, iBooks is always consumed 2.0 GB of storage.

I just want to remove this from my iPod touch, including the alias vestigial book, collections and pointers to iBooks store pages. I would remove the unit iBooks app altogether if I could.

  • Empty EXIF preset will overwrite existing (as legends) exif data with whites

I want to import existing files and keep all the exif data are already there (like the legends), while during the import (or after) I want to apply ADDITIONAL exif data (like the author, location). If I leave the existing empty fields in the metadata presets, the original exif data will be safe? In other words, can I simply add metadata without affecting the original values?

    DJ

In the changing metadata Preset dialog (where you name and save a metadata presets FROM), there are check boxes on the right side, next to each metadata field.

Any field without a checkbox next to it, will be left alone when the preset is applied to future images, whether it be something typed into the screening or not and no matter if on the ground than on the image starts with empty or not.

It's the same idea, as for the predefined parameters of development: the preselection has a defined scope. It only affects the aspects you should be.

Type something new in a box empty, automatically puts a check mark next to that.  Then that will be applied to the image.

What is in an edit box, still leaves this field checked. Alternatively, you can put a check next to an empty box: same result. As a warning, red towers for the name of this field and the box shows a message indicating that If applied to an image, this empty field will still be imposed on the image - deletion of all who might have been there before.

To avoid that happening, assuming that you did not positively this domain, you must uncheck the box next to this field (and then if the Assembly previously saved preset, updated in order to incorporate the change).

  • Any way to change/replace the EXIF data such as the date of the photo?

I import into Lightroom several thousand photos I took with my first digital camera, in 2000-2004. Everything went very smoothly. But here's my problem:

In my old workflow, I spent the time of photo montage liquidated as TIF files, and stripped of any program that I used to edit the EXIF from them. Thus, for example, a photo that was taken on March 4, 2001 has the information EXIF showing it was taken on March 10, 2001, the date on which I edited and made the TIF. All other EXIF data is stripped as well, the data on exposure, lens information, ISO, if the flash is triggered, etc.. Basically, the TIF file seems to have no other than my name and the size of the file EXIF data.

I can't live without the other info, really, but the change of information on the initial date/time means that the TIF file is not sort next to the original file in Lightroom, which I want to do. There are not thousands of photos that I have hair, a few hundred maximum.

Is it possible with a plugin or an external program to copy EXIF information in the original program and insert it in the TIF file?

To change the date to use the Edit capture time option located under library > metadata menu.

  • Photoshop Fix photo EXIF data has been erased for most

Thanks to the Adobe team for the launch of the app PS difficulty. I downloaded and immediately tried and was astonished to see what he could do. After that I saved my edit of a photo film to my iPhone and the application Exift to verify its Exif data, I was shocked to discover the Exif data of the photo has been removed for most. Please see the 2 sheets of Exif below for your reference: the 1st is one of the original photo. the 2nd is that the difficulty of the PS edited photo where you can see most data has disappeared.

Thank you'd know by your really and all other users PS difficulty if this problem could be solved.

Or maybe there's a way to fix it in the application settings? Please enlighten me.

Hi Paul, Fix currently does not record the metadata for the exported image. This is something that we are looking at adding in a later version.

  • PSE8 removes EXIF data?

I used PSE8 to remove red eye from a picture and noticed that when I save the file, it creates the XMP data but removes EXIF data. How can I keep the EXIF data, because I don't want to delete it? I did some research but other than using EXIFTool to move data back to EXIF, XMP I do not see how to keep after editing and recording.

Here's what happens: PSE is deletion of article of MakerNotes exclusive of the manufacturer of the metadata.  Each manufacturer has its own format for fields MakerNotes, which encode many details on the camera, lens and exposure.  Most programs keep properly the MakerNotes, due to the poor design of the MakerNotes from the manufacturers.

PSE is preserving all the standard EXIF fields (model camera, ISO, F number, duration of exposure, program exposure, etc.).  PSE is also adding a new section XMP metadata, copying the standard EXIF fields of industry in the XMP section.

It is regrettable that the PSE often removes the MakerNotes section.  On the other hand, but most basic exposure information are stored in EXIF and XMP of industry standard fields.  And if you keep the unpublished originals (always a good practice), you always have access to the MakerNotes (although a bit inconvenient).

See attached files for the dumping of Exiftool metadata from the two files:

  • How-to Remove All Data Web site

I had a fake Virus alert and got rid of the lock upwards, but have been unable to "Remove all data from the Web site" in the preferences "Privacy". Whenever I have delete data, it is well again with 206 stored cookies. Any suggestions to get rid of these cookies permanently?

  • I still have not found "help" to tell me how to remove all the lines and columns beyond those needed for my spreadsheet.

I used several worksheets.  More allows me to specify the rows/columns and then delete them.  This is to remove all the lines/columns beyond those set up and formatted for my spreadsheet.   I tried many ways to remove all additional lines/columns, but without success.  I even took the time to scroll down/on to highlight all the unnecessary lines and columns, but they do not remove it.
Any suggestions?  I used spreadsheets most allow me to specify the number of rows/columns for my worksheet

  • Why is Photoshop camera settings exif data stripping

OK guys I just realized a problem and I'm stumped. I have Nikon raw files in Lightroom CC. I exported a selection of them to TIFF files in a subfolder. Navigation on this matter within lightroom TIFF files have all the original exif metadata. If I select an image and "Edit in Photoshop CC 2015" (editing the original file) I do my editing and save the changes in lightroom all the exif camera info settings disappeared. Zoom ISO, shutter speed, level, specifically disappeared. It still shows it as the camera and lens, but no details.

If I understand well TIFF format is supposed to be the best for metadata of the back and forth, yet clearly is photoshop erase some of them. This behavior me is not expected. I expect only this behavior if I use 'save for web' or the new 'export' in 2015 of CC.

Can someone shed some light, or a fix? Thank you

    RESOLVED: FALSE ALERT.

So that this is going on I have experienced even more by opening a TIF file that lightroom did not show EXIF Info for (which led me to believe that it was stripping) save in Photoshop.  In Photoshop using the INFORMATION FILE, exif info was still there.  Then back in lightroom, I have a right-click on the file and is gone to METADATA > READ the METADATA FILE and boom all the metadata has shown once again in lightroom.  More experimentation with another TIF file, if I have lightroom adjustments made for him after using photoshop then the exif arise again.  Apparently make a lightroom adjustment forced a refresh of the metadata.

Other tests, I closed Lightroom and it has reopened.  Do you have my return change and metadata has never disappeared.  I don't know if after Lightroom opens a long time caused its not immediately re-read the metadata of edited TIF or what.  Odd.  IM happy that it was a false alert well.
