Help please, my live mode view seems different from Safari...

Hello

I have not finished my site, I just started, but a problem that I can not understand is my live mode view is very different to what it looks like on Safari.

This is my code:

Help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

As Ken said, you must define a Local Site folder in DW.

Currently, your links to external style sheets point to files on your local hard drive, that no one can see it but you.

"file:///Macintosh HD/users/Sheena/Desktop/Elite Tv/common.css? version = 6" type = "text/css" / >

"file:///Macintosh HD/users/Sheena/Desktop/Elite Tv/Index.css? version = 6" type = "text/css" / >

In addition, the servers are case sensitive.  If Index.css isn't the same as index.css.  For best results on the web, use all file names to lower case letters without spaces or special characters.

  • CSS does not work in live mode view or f12

Hi, hope you can help me.

I make the check_cs5 tutorial in cs5 and thought that it everything was fine until I checked my site in live mode view and a browser-no css. I want to know what I did wrong so that I do not repeat the mistake when I build my site.

I tried the suggestions on other threads on this topic (not completely understand), but none helped.

So far I've tried: checking the "preview using temporary file" in the preferences

and checked that my site isn't implemented with links from the document root.

Another thing I noticed, is that when I look in the menu format 'none' css styles is checked. If I try and add a style I just give the possibility to add one that is already fixed. However, in the styles box css on the right of the waterfall of div styles all seems correct as stated in the tutorial.

    Very confusing!

I'm going to paste my code below, thank you in advance for any help on this.

I used stickyfoot for my footer right of copyright, which is aligned in live mode view, but one time downloaded it goes to the far left of the page.  I deleted several times, but he still goes to the extreme right.  If anyone has had the same problem and could you please let me know what was your solution as appropriate?

I just checked your style.css of css file

You have a few selectors in it with no clogged cavities} brackets, which will stop the css cascade. Sort this out and at least the footer should align in the Center like your other pages.

    Help, please!

    Thank you

#1 upload your current folder Spry to your remote server.  The CSS & JavaScript files needed are 404 not found.   That's why your menu looks not called.

#2 music strong, free, unsolicited on websites is a very bad idea.  It forces many people to click away from your site and never return.   It is located I listened to other media, when I clicked on your site.  The cacophony of contradictory noises was not the least bit pleasant.

  • Why I see in Design view is different from that in preview mode

I read a few posts about the formatting issues, but I found the exact answer. It's annoying that I create text boxes with images that I place, but what I see in the design, it's not what I see in the preview. In Design view, all the air very well, but in the preview, the pictures are not located where I placed the. The text boxes are sometimes superimposed, etc.. I have to move photos or text boxes in different places in the design, to "accommodate" preview mode. Consolidation of all the elements of a page seems to work a little better, but still, some elements will be properly located. Is there a trick to freeze the page because it is in the design and read properly in the preview? Thank you.

The preview mode is a more precise description of how your page will look like in a browser. Have you tried the preview of your Web site in a browser to see what it looks like?

You can make settings on your creation mode to make sure it appears correctly in the preview.

  • div tag seems different from mac to pc?

I have a very simple page with a background image as a CSS style (centered).  I added a div on top and built a form inside the div tag  The div is set to position absolute and look great in dreamweaver and pc.  I tested it on my mac and the entire div/shape moves all the way to the left of the screen.  I appreciate all help.

Sorry, your code is stubborn.  Change APDivs Relative divs is not going to fix anything. It will be just worse.

I have re-coded the entire page for you.  Copy and paste my code - all this - in a new empty HTML document in code view.

Save it as a new file name.  Play with him. I'm sure that you will find that it is 1,000% easier to work with, now that the APDivs disappeared.

    Good luck
