• Re-installing CS4 Design Premium - no setup.exe

  Hello

  I am re-installing CS4 Design Premium (on Windows 7 Home Prem), but the file I have all my downloaded files bought in (I didn't buy the CD) all files .exe and .7z but not setup.exe.

  Last week, I ran all the .exe, and once they had finished, I rebooted, hoping that maybe the setup.exe can run at startup. Nothing happened, so I went back to install/uninstall and cliked in uninstall, I cancelled, then install window came. Strange, but I went with it. Installation completed, but with errors. I needed to move on to a project, so I was able to run Dreamweaver and Fireworks, but yesterday Illustrator had a fatal error (in his first inning).

  
  I uninstalled again, but this time cannot deceive the uninstall program to run Setup again.

  My readme file. PDF, said I should have a setup.exe, but I looked in the downloadable files online and nothing there.

  Am I missing something here?

  I bought CS4 Design Premium awhile back, but the computer that I had installed it dies. I want to install it on my new iMac, but when I enter the serial number, it leads me to a page that says: "upgrade audit: we looked in the default locations for qualifying home products installed on this computer, but none have been found...» "(see screenshot below).

    I have a new iMac and downloaded Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium 4, which has been improved on my old iMac v.3.3.  When I start a trial of v.4 as suggested and ask for a version permanent by putting my serial number v.4, v.4 is downloaded. But, when I try to open the Photoshop application, I get a screen that says I have to put in the serial number for CS3 CS4 has been upgraded since then.  When I entered my serial number for CS3, Adobe indicates that the number is not valid and won't let me use the app HELP!

    Thank you for your help.  I solved the problem.  When I went back to look at the awkward screen, I found that I had chosen the right product. I then chose the right product and of course the problem has been resolved.

    I was looking for Adobe Design Premium CS4 installed on my Surface Pro, but it doesn't have a DVD player and my Wi - Fi connection is not really fast. In fact, it would take a while to download a large file, leading me to find alternatives another (my other computer has already installed CS4, both are Windows). Is it possible to install CS4 on my Surface Pro, without the use of a wi - fi connection or no process incredibly complex? :) Thank you.

  • Lost serial number to install CS4 Design Premium Student Edition

    I had CS 4 Design Premium Student Edition installed on my computer and a cs 5.5 update installed. I reformatted my computer and updated to a more recent operating system. Later, I tried to re - install my software and realized I lost my serial number. I can't install the update to cs 5.5 without using a previous version of CS installed. Does anyone know of a solution to this? I tried to call Adobe and they instructed me to use the chat. I'm still waiting on the cat, but I thought I would post this as I wait to see if anyone has any suggestions or ideas. I'd rather not upgrade to creative cloud again.

    John, I saw the account that you used to post on this forum and there is no software titles registered in respect of the account. I would recommend either by registering your CS4 serial number or contact our support team directly to confirm the serial number valid.  You can contact our team of support directly in Contact with the customer.

    This is a new pc. This copy was initially installed on another pc who died. I have dvd discs and when I run the first drive I get a message "database installation is damaged". I have the number of sn.

    I found the problem... I removed the capsdb from the shared directory FilesAdobe\Backup. Once everything is installed.

    I just installed CS4 Design Premium on my early 2008 Mac Pro with 2 GB of RAM and a lot of hard disk space.  At the end of installation, I ran Adobe Updater 6.2.0.1474 (created 21, 2008 Ot) that was installed with the rest of the Design Premium Suite.  It seemed that nothing has been last updated by it, but I couldn't be sure.  I went to the Adobe site and searched "Updater" and downloaded a "Update Manager" that the site proposed as the only result of my research.  This file downloaded installed an "Adobe Updater" that has been created in 2008!  I tried not to run it because it doesn't seem to be updated.

    I saw a newsletter today, July 31, 2009, at MacFixit that produces a link to a page of Adobe website that is dated today!  This page shown links to the individual updates for Acrobat, Adobe Air, and Flash.  Without MacFixit, I would never know it existed.

    My experience today with the Adobe update service is mind-boggling.  Heavy is a kind word for her.  It would seem that the mere presence of an app called Updater would do exactly this - update of the entire suite CS4 Design.  Is this really the purpose of this app?  It work?  What is the latest incarnation of the Updater?

    I see where some people have mentioned on the forum that they are usually manually updating.  Why?  You confirm my suspicion that the CS4 update is not to be trusted?

    Sorry for all the questions, but I'm new to this game was updated following the scale and I need advice from more experienced people.  Please advise this noobie on more reliably update to update this beautiful suite of applications.  Thank you.

    Can someone help me please? Adobe keeps giving me the run around. Long story short, my computer crashed and I need to reinstall my CS4 Design Premium software. After contacting Adobe, one of their people to chat live gave me a link where I downloaded a .dmg file. However, I don't know how to reinstall the software from there. Help, please! Here is a screenshot showing the file .dmg (below), when I click the red box appears (upper-left), and then I click on the first red folder marked Adobe CS4 Design Premium and the following window appears (in upper right). Now what should I do to download the software?

  • Trouble installing CS5 Design Premium - please help a novice!

    It is almost impossible for me, someone who is new to MAC in general, to understand what is happening with my system. But I learned a little through online searches and the suppory community. Ultimately no part of the entire program was already installed on my computer. Is there someone you could ask to help me. I have problems of the research on the specific error code, which I believe is where I find my answer. Most of the information I could dig up is outdated, dating back many years and does not apply (unless I'm missing something).

    I'll also post this information to the community and you send another link (updated). If you could pass it on to someone who could help me to analyze the logs... Errors, I would be grateful. My work pile up!

    Support I was called last night and offered little assistance and asked me nothing about my system or errors that occurred, telling me that the problem I feel is caused by the server updated adobe plug-ins for only support CS6 essentially making obsolete the CS5. I find this hard to believe since my fiance just to install the other licence (I bought 2 licenses) successfully, the first test, only 2 weeks ago.     NOTE: In the window to install CS5 Design Premium, InDesign is not supported so I unchecked that install the rest of the programs and also tried to install only the CS5 Adobe Photoshop only. Had the same error in the installation window.

    32-bit (which tells me CS5 auto adjusts the 64 bit suggested)

    Gratefulbear the ~ indicates that you look at the files in the user //Library/Logs folder.

    To access your library of root, file, complete the following steps:

    1. Go to the Finder
    2. Use the Go menu and select folder.
    3. Type of/Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers

    This should then, open the folder library/logs/Adobe.  Please see Troubleshooting with the Setup logs.
