Help transfer pictures to iCloud, please

I had a couple of attempts to purchase of 50 GB of storage iCloud to help me move the photos to my Mac HARD drive Instagram via my iPad or iPhone, but it seems to be stuck.

I want to select small batches at a time, but I have a feeling, it is transferring all my photos and just hangs.

where I'm going wrong?

Thanks for the tips

How do you try to transfer photos from the Mac to the iPad?

If you use iCloud photo library (activated on both the iPad and Mac), your mac download complete photo library to iCloud. It is not selective.

If you want to download only albums selected cloud, you can create a separate library of Photos on your Mac, containing only the pictures and videos you want to download to iCloud and synchronize with your iPad.  See this help page on the use of more than a library of Photos: https://help.apple.com/photos/mac/1.2/?lang=en#/pht6d60b524

What is your photo library?  Will take a long time to download from a large library. My library with over 40,000 photos needed more than a week to download, and I have a fast internet. The download may also hang, if the library is greater that we can insert in iCloud. then iCloud hangs, until you buy more storage iCloud or delete photos to free storage.

If the download seems to be stuck, Photos can be also charged to convert videos in the library for download. Can tae several hours without any visible progress. Or your library may contain corrupted pictures that cannot be treated.

I have a problem with the use of the photos and iCloud which I can't solve alone...

I love the feature that when I snap a photo on my iPhone, it shows up on my other devices as well. However, it is much, results use all my ability to iPhones. I want to be able to remove the 'local' storage of the photo in my iPhone, but still be able to view in my iPhone. How do I do that? After all, isn't that what iCloud's all about?

ICloud-storage is full, I want to remove too much iCloud and keep only locally on my MacBook for display. How remove the photo from iCloud, but always keep locally on my Mac? And if I don't want to use photos as my photo Manager, how do I take their 'out' photos and store them in the form of directive on my Mac?

I'm afraid that if I simply enter the photos app on any of my devices and try to remove a photo from iCloud, remove them permanently. How to avoid this?

I hope someone can help me with this problem!

With iCloud library enabled, you cannot delete a photo on a device (or iCloud.com) without deleting each device which uses iCloud photo library (iCloud.com). In order to save space on your mobile devices (and indeed your Mac if you want to) turn on the optimization of the pictures on these devices (settings > photos & camera > optimize storage on your mobile device and Photo preferences > optimize storage on your Mac)

Dynamic optimization, it reduces the resolution of your photos, if necessary, so that you don't notice it occurring initially. However, when necessary, it is very effective, and users have reported libraries being optimized for much less than 10% of their original size in some cases. My own library is about 9% of its original on my phone size.

  • How to transfer pictures from iPhoto to iCloud

I have a Mid 2010 iMac OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 running version and am trying to transfer my photos from iPhoto to iCloud so I don't lose them when I get my new Mac. I tried highlighting them and moving them to a new stream of photos, but it works. I don't want to have to buy an external hard drive. Said the man on the Apple store for transfer to iCloud.

    Hi creekercat,

There are many options to solve this problem. It would be to get a thumb drive or storage device of some sort that you already own to store them on. Better yet, if you Google Drive or Dropbox, download them from here. I don't really recommend put you your pictures on iCloud because it takes lots of storage. If you have any of the above options, you might as well wait for the new Mac and their parachuting directly through Finder to your new Mac. It will be a long process, but hey, at least you don't lose your files.

    Good luck

  • How to transfer pictures from iPhoto photo app /icloud app

my photos on an external hard drive in iPhoto app, when I switch to camera app, there is no way to sync my pictures with iTunes, what do I do now?

I want to transfer pictures from iPhoto for photo app, I want to synchronize my phone with iTunes, I have 50 GB iCloud because I don't have enough space for the pictures on the mac pro book / that's the reason why I have external hard drive storage photos in iPhoto app / and finally, iPhoto app is not God to keep photos and synchronize with iTunes no more?

And finally, iPhoto app is not God to keep photos and sync with iTunes, not more?

You can use Photos to keep your library and you can use iTunes to sync the photos in your iPhoto library or a library of Photos on your iPhone.

Only, you can not use iTunes to sync photos to your iPhone, if you use iCloud photo library on your iPhone.

But what application now do you use on your Mac to store your library of photos - news pictures for Mac application or you use iPhoto?  It's not quite clear to me your question, because you MENTION both applications.

iTunes can sync photos of two applications for your iPhone, as long as the iPhone is not synchronized with iCloud photo library.

  • Impossible to use WiFi to transfer pictures byDSC-HX30V to my MAC, Help!

    Hello!

I see that the Wireless Auto import software (V1.1) does not support the Core Duo processors.  Is there a future version that will support MAC Core Duo?  Is there another way to use WIFI to transfer the photos to my MAC?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi duckcougar,

The current version (version 1.1) of Wireless Auto Import software does not support the Core Solo and Core Duo processors. Sony has released no information about a Wireless Auto Import software update. Even if an update is released in the future, as long as technical moderators, we cannot speculate the improvements that it will include in the previous update nor can answer us if the camera will have in the future it does not currently feature.

To work around the problem, you can use an Eye - Fi memory card in the camera to transfer pictures and videos to a computer wirelessly. Some Eye - Fi cards also allow to download photos from sharing pictures, blogs and social networking sites. You can find detailed information on the features of the Eye - Fi card in the link below:

It is not possible to transfer pictures directly in the TC.

You need to connect the camera to the computer. Copy the files to the computer... Then copy the files into a directory for the TC... you don't need to use iphoto to make... you are actually better store directly on the TC raw file images, especially if your MBA is now insufficient to disk.

  • How to transfer pictures from the phone to the computer via a USB cable?

I just bought a Tundra VA76r and universal mini-USB cable at a local store AT & T. I downloaded the "v3.9.0 USB driver for Windows 32-bit" on the Motorola support site, I have Windows XP SP2 on my desktop Dell. The driver is described as follows:

This USB driver is used for connecting your Mobile from Motorola phone to a Windows® computer via a USB cable to charge your phone or to access the data on your phone. This USB driver supports most Motorola OS, Linux OS, Motorola, Motorola iDEN, Motorola Symbian/UIQ, Motorola Windows Mobile® and i-mode of Motorola phones.

I installed the driver and the load function works. My phone USB connection type is MODEM. However, I am not able to "access the data on my phone" as promised in the description of the driver. The phone is not recognized in Windows Explorer. All I want to do is to transfer pictures from the phone to my computer. The price for Motorola Phone Tools ($50) seem expensive for such a simple task. An adapter for my desktop computer bluetooth is also in this price range. The tundra is incompatible with the feature of this driver? I'm doing something wrong with the installation of the phone? Please help me to get the driver to work... Thank you

Best way to do this is to configure your phone USB setting of "memory card".  Go to Menu-settings-connections-settings USB online online online, select the memory card.

Once this is done, connect the phone to the computer, phone will be recognized as a removable disk. Go to my computer.  Under devices you'll see removable drive F or G depending on your drives (can show two if you have a card as well.  Memory card is usually the drive at the top of the page.  The phone memory is lower by car).

Click on the drive (IE. F, mobile - if memory card).  Here you will see audio, music, photo, etc.  Once here, you can get, drag and drop a file on your computer.  Make sure that you create one or more folders for your files on your computer.

The same also applies if the transfer of files from your computer to your phone.

I find that this method is better than to sync the phone.

I hope it will work for you.  Let me know if it doesn't.

The method that you use to import the photos should still work. Since you saw misbehave, it of a good idea to restart the computer and the iPhone, and then try again. If this does not help, we have a guide for the next steps: If you can not import pictures from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer

In particular, try the following steps:

    Updates

    1. Automatically search for updates of your photo management software and iTunes.
    2. Update your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.
    3. Update your Mac or PC. In Windows, use the Windows Update application.

Try to import photos once again

First of all, repeat the steps to import photos to your computer . Try the following steps:

    1. Create a new photo to import. You can Save a screenshot on your iOS device by pressing the Home button and the sleep/wake button at the same time.
    2. Connect your iOS device to your computer.
    3. Try to import your photos using your photo management software. You can also try the following steps on your PC:
      • Mac: Open Capture of Image in the Applications folder.
      • Windows 8: Move the cursor to the top right, click the magnifying glass, enter the computer and press return. Right click on your device under portable devices (if present) and choose import photos.
      • Windows 7: Click Start > computer. Under devices laptops, right click on the device and then choose import photos.
    4. If your computer does not see your device, make sure that your device trusts the computer.
