Helps the 8-page brochure layout

I need some tips for laying on a booklet of 8 pages color for a client.

There will be panels of 8.5 x 11 (8) (two sheets of 11 x 17 inches, printed on both sides and folded and stapled in the Center). I don't even know if they want a picture on the cover page to wrap wholly or partially on the back cover, but they may be.

Normally, I have a booklet of 8 pages using 8.5 x 11 pages, 1/8 "bleed and facing pages. This shows the front and back covers as a single letter size pages, with two pages of reader sandwiched between the two.

Is this the right way to go, or is there a better way?

If I give it to (4) pages are 11 x 17 (with a fold in the middle) they spoil or think somehow I spread the drive when it is actually set up as margins of the printer?

Reflections, advice?

Thanks again,

Lou

I guess that you didn't copy and paste part of the place of my first post.

Place the image on the cover page as you want and let the part that would wrap extend on the pasteboard. Now, copy of the image, as it is and move it to the front rear, wher will stick you in place (not a regular dough). The part that was on the editing table will be on the back and the part that was on the cover will be on the pasteboard, and both will be perfect register if you move the pages together.

As these pages will be butt in printing final you don't need internal bleed, then just drag the edge of the image to crop off the coast of the part of each image that is on the pasteboard, or leave, it is not really important. Just make sure you don't re - position one or the other. Putitng on a locked layer would be a good idea.

    Hello

    I'm working on my first real site and I'm having a problem, I can not understand.

    with respect to the index page.  I have my page set up how I want, but I can't seem to load as I want it.

    This is the site

    www.pineywoodsfarming.com

    and if you notice, it's not about us section.  But if you go to

    www.pineywoodsfarming.com/index.html

    then it works as I want.  I think that it is a general question, I need to learn more about because I am not satisfied by the paths I have.  for example, farm manager wanted section.  I would like to take off the /pages/manager/html (those in bold I would take off)

    can someone direct me to a topic that I need to learn more about.  Thank you

    If you have the time some creative comments would also appreciated but not necessary. (my main concern is that I did the home page is not user friendly)

    Thanks for watching and helping out a new guy.

    Edit:

    He began to appear on his own without doing me anything, so I think that fixed the problem.  Perhaps no clear historical as well as I thought I did.  but can someone direct me to a topic to help me with my problem of address (or what I just my layout with this in mind the structure)

    Thank you

    You can easily get rid of the pages folder in the structure of your site by changing all of your index.html pages and placing them into folders for each section in the root of the site, like this...

    index.html
    on<-->

    index.html<-- would="" be="" the="" old="" about="" us="">

    job<>
    index.html<-- would="" be="" the="" old="" manager.html="">

    In this way, your pages would be www.pineywoodsfarming.com/about or www.pineywoodsfarming.com/employment

  • JS script to continue parallel to the new pages column layout

    It seems that lndesign continue a layout to the next page pairs automatically when your typing in a single column wraps to the next page.  I was told I could this script, and since I did JS script on web pages for a while, shouldn't be too hard, I hope, if I explain the layout here?

    The layout is simple - 4 parallel columns spread over 2 pages front - each column will hold a separate text that 3 others, and these texts will NOT be stuck in - they will be created AS I type.  I can't find a word processor to do this, because none can wrap a column of a number of page in the first page number (not the next odd page number).  Again, if you think of the layout in the finished printed book, it is very apparent - you want the two texts on the left-hand page to stay always on the left and two on the right to stay on the right, turn to any page of the book.

    Technically speaking, column 1 of the same 2 page will wrap to column 1 of page 4.  Column 2 on the same page will end up to page 4.  Similarly, both the 2 columns to the right of the right page (odd) will always wrap down to the next odd-numbered page. All I need is to do this automatically while I'm typing.  So what column I'm typing in, when I arrive at the end of this column on the current page, the same provision will be created for the next pair of pages on the fly.  If you just keep typing, and when NO column reaches the end of this page, a new page layout will be created if it does not already exist.

    This frame of page avoides linking repeatedly on hundreds of pages, which is a continuous concern that will affect my concentration on the content of the book.  I want the layout simply continue to go to the background for as long as I type.  Simple requirement - can - it be done in Javascript?

    I don't really have the time to write scripts that are free right now, but if you want to make the effort to write yourself, this should help you get started:

    The skeleton of the basis of such a scenario would be something like this:

    var bounds = app.selection[0].parentTextFrames[0].geometricBounds;
    app.documents[0].pages.add();
    app.documents[0].pages.add();
    var nextFrame = app.documents[0].spreads[-1].textFrames.add({geometricBounds:bounds});
    app.selection[0].parentTextFrames[0].nextTextFrame = nextFrame;

    You must ensure that the origin of the rule is spreading.

    You need to check if there is a page after the current and only add the page if necessary.

    There are a bunch of other error checking you'd have to do as well.

  • Help the blank pages

    I am about to install CS6, but I can't get online help. If I use Safari, Firefox, or Chrome, the HELP PAGES for specific products (for example, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.) REMAIN blank.

    The page of the Adobe cat also remains empty.

    There might be a problem with

    http://www.Adobe.com/go/ gnav_help_en_us

    (just a hunch).

    I can read all of the other Web pages on adobe.com OK site.

    I read in a discussion that the help pages are managed by air, so I checked if I have the latest version of Air installed. And I do.

    I'm on Mac OSX 10.7.4.

    I phoned the Germany of Adobe and Adobe France direct lines, and they were very nice but could not explain the phenomenon.

    Please help, because I'm totally paralyzed if I can't access a help on the site.

    Erich and all,

    I have just updated the 1Password extension for Safari, Firefox and Chrome version 3.8.19. I have absolutely no reason to believe that this extension was in fact the problem, but it seems that I can now access pages to help Adobe, if http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop.html or http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/photoshop/topics.html on all 3 browsers: Safari, Firefox, and Chrome. At the beginning of our Exchange, Chrome was the only browser displaying these pages.

    But then something that I don't know could have been made to correct these pages

    In any case, it's a new piece of info I wanted to share.

    I'll keep you posted if there is something new. In the meantime, thanks a lot for your help.

    All the best,

  • With the help of the initial page to fill the different page layouts

    Hi all

    I am creating a form where the padding between the information on one page and then selects a specific provision, probably an option button.  When the user clicks on the button "Next" the selected schema appears and the fields are filled with the information entered on the first page.

    (1) what kind of scripts I need to achieve this?

    (2) the pages containing different page layouts are master pages?

    Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hello

    Yes you can do it.

    If your formatting is "placed", then you need to just reference the pages in the script that you want to make visible/hidden.

    If you have a layout "Flowed", and then you add objects to the sales page, LC Designer will create additional instances of this page. In the script when you reference the sales page should be visible, it will be all instances (overflow) visible.

    You cannot use the method get (core/AcroForm javascript). However, it is still pretty easy to get data from different pages.

    For example, javascript in the case to calculate an object on the sales page:

    this.rawValue = adminPage.customerName.rawValue;

    You just need to reference the object entirely.

    There is a very handy tip to insert references to objects.

    1. Select the object to which you want to enter the script in.
    2. Then highlight the object that you want to reference. Do not select it.
    3. Click in the Script Editor (at the top you will see that you are in the object you selected in step 1.
    4. Press control and hover over the object that you want to reference. The mouse turns into a 'V '.
    5. While maintaining control (the mouse pointer is a 'V'), click the object that you want to reference.
    6. LC Designer will insert the correct reference and include the reference as long as it is necessary.
    7. If you see, xfa.resolveNode in the reference, it could mean that you have not named a page or a subform, or if you have multiple objects with the same name. It is best to go back and fix that and then go through the steps above to get a clean reference.

    If you also want information to be synchronized between all three pages, you can name the same object on all three pages and in the object > range of defined binding binding to Global. In this way, regardless of what is typed in the field on three pages, will automatically be the same thing on other pages.

    Hope that helps,

    Niall

  • Products on the Home Page - help!

    Hello

    I am building a site that has a table of 3 x 3 of products on the homepage and I want to use pagnation to load more products in the same provision on the following pages. See the image at the bottom of this post to get an idea of the layout.  I use module_productfeaturelist to view flagged items but I can't understand the following:

    (1) how to display this module in a table instead of a li?

    (2) how can I include the functionality of pagnation for products that do not match this page overflow to the next page (using the same model)

    This is the module I use: {module_productfeaturelist, defect of product tile, 9, true}

    I really apprecaite your help!

    BC_Layout.jpg

    The number of items means how long before paging occurs. While you could change this to a table all you need to do is to float your list items in your CSS to get this provision.

  • Lose the Master Page assignments after import layout

    I have a book with about 40 chapters, and I'm trying to change the page layout.  I update the master pages in Chapter 1 and then use the import formats to import master pages in the other chapters.

    However, when I go in the other chapters, the first pages lose their 'first' assignment page and just came with a normal allocation of L/R.

    If I Master Page use manually and change the first "chapter" page it works OK, but who will become a bit tedious for those chapters.

    Is it possible to keep the existing master page to use assignments when importing to page layout?

    Thank you!

    John

    Ah, interesting.  Of course, during the test of this morning, he had not this problem.

    But your message prompted me to finally understand that cryptic MasterPageMaps and so I made a chart like this, which seems to do the trick:

    Paragraph tag name Right hand Master Page (or master Front Page) Left Master Page Indicator of rank (single, on the pages up to this amended) Comments
    Titrechapitre First Unique Titrechapitre page as the first master page

    Thanks as always for your quick and helpful answer!

  • Help page thumbnail layout

    Hello

    Help layout image

    I posted this in the PS forum with someone getting back to suggesting me that indesign CS5 can have a script included in the layout of equal size thumbnails and evenly spaced.  My client wants that all of their products in small vignettes as a directory of sorts within the first page of the product catalog.

    Any ideas?

    With CS4 and CS5, you can select all your images in the Place dialog box, then hold down the Alt + Option + shift (or something like that). You should see the cursor change a small grid icon; Drag onto your page to define the outer limits of the rectangle they wanted in, up and down and left and right arrows to change the number of lines and columns.

  • Is there a place in the help menus which provides the names of all parts of the Firefox page, for example the toolbar, address bar, etc. ; If this is not the case, can you give us?

    When you use help I find references to the address bar, toolbar, Bookmark Tags, etc and still do not exactly know what areas these terms make reference to the Firefox page. I tried to find a guide, nothing helps. It would be very useful if help section has been that, if it isn't already.

    I found this page, but it is a bit outdated.

    When you try to print in Firefox and when the scale to the size of the page in the page layout, the first page prints correctly, but the following pages do not scale correctly and are too large for the paper, with the parts of the text are cut off at top and right. It is not fixed by checking or unchecking the scaling / shrink to fit page width "ignore" in the print window, or by changing the scale percent.

    If it is and you mean Photos Date of Mac are modified by selecting the photos using the Image menu == > adjust the time and date of order and changes made to the metadata such as keywords, location, etc. are made by selecting the photos and find the info and registering metadata in the Info window

    These are detailed in the help topics of pictures - a good place to look for help on the Photos

For example, you can see the date and time a photo was taken, the information about the camera that took the photo and badges that indicate the status of the photo. You can assign titles and captions to photos, add or change the location of the photos and change the date and time for them information. You can select multiple photos in an instant and add or change information about them all at once.

    Open pictures for me
