Hidden admin rights

Hello Microsoft

Who should I contact for any problem of security I can give a user administrator rights (because they disabled the account of administrator for example)?

Not only can I give them administrative rights, but I also do hidden that they do not appear on the settings so cannot be deleted. So they resemble a normal user in all settings but in fact have administrator rights. You don't need a cd/dvd of recovery for this either.

I tried to call your call center and also sent emails and asked on Facebook.

Not a single person has reported to me in the right direction.

This maybe not important for a user at home but in a corporate environment where users should be locked there some implications (can add remove software and also to edit the registry).

Kind regards

Dan

Who should I contact for any problem of security I can give a user administrator rights (because they disabled the account of administrator for example)?

-> Disable the administrator account has no effect on the security settings. They remain as they are.

Not only can I give them administrative rights, but I also do hidden that they do not appear on the settings so cannot be deleted.

--> There are a few ways to manipulate the permissions of resources, even when the resource is hidden.

So they resemble a normal user in all settings but in fact have administrator rights.

-> If you do not want that these accounts have administrator rights then you must demote the ordinary user accounts.

I tried to call your call center and also sent emails and asked on Facebook.

Not a single person has reported to me in the right direction.

-> If you need assistance from Microsoft then you must take a paid service call.

I think you're GROUND (so outtat chance).

Generally, you can press F8 or F10 to choose what you want to boot from.  Depends on your system and the manufacturer.  If you can press F10 and select the CD/DVD drive, it should start.  Either that or get into the BIOS and make the CD/DVD the first boot device.

She still does not start, if the CD is good.

I hope this helps and good luck

  • Directions to the win XP home ADMIN rights.

Hi I'm Davie. I reinstalled win XP home on a friend's computer, everything is good, except when I try to install the dongle of vodaphone, right ADMIN denied? I can't seem to find the right ADMIN option, can help to aneyone.

The first step is to determine if you really have the Admin rights or not.  The quick test is to right click on the button 'start '. If one of the choices in the pop-up window is "Open All Users", then you have the Admin rights.

If you don't have administrator rights, you must log in as administrator.  On the screen, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete twice and enter in the user name box and the administrator password in the administrator password box.  If you have not assigned a password, then leave the password empty.

If you don't have administrator rights, then the problem is most likely a problem of access to a particular directory or registry entry.  Because this could be almost anything, you should probably contact the manufacturer of your dongle and work the problem with them.

  • How can I get back Admin rights no one has them on the computer?

How can I get back Admin rights no one has them on the computer

IIRC, you cannot delete the built-in account named 'Administrator', so check first to see if it's really over:

If you have XP Pro, then press CTRL + ALT + DELETE twice at the Welcome screen

If you have XP Home (or XP Pro), restart mode without fail (repeatedly press F8 startup just after reboot) and the administrator account must be indicated on the Welcome screen.

Unless you have changed it, the password for the built-in Administrator account is blank (no password).

Once you sign in as an administrator, go to control panel > users and create a new account with administrative privileges (or give these rights to an account existing).  Do not use the built-in for common daily tasks administrator account.

  • Change the Bitlocker pin with Admin rights

Hi, is it possible to change the Bitlocker PIN with admin rights

Also where that PIN is stored?

    Thanks in advance

The answer is to write a windows service and have a program to interact with this service and have it launch the locker of bit program.

Because the service runs under the system account, the program run by there the higher privilege.

  • I now have a hidden admin account on my second windows. Can I use it to connect to my old windows

    original title: passwor

I have two windows installed on my laptop. Both are windows vista. I could not log on to the windows of the first, because it does not accept my password, even if my password is correct. Then I installed windows again, but did not remove the old windows.

My question is: I now have a hidden admin account on my second windows.

Can I use it to connect to my old windows. The old windows is stored in a separate file. I'm the only Admin and the only user.

    Hello

You will not be able to use the old profile, but the hidden administrator account is activated, you may be able to access files and folders in this account that you have not deleted the profile.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Run the application with the admin rights

    Hello

I am a network administrator and I have problems with an external application. While running the application does not require local administrator rights, the software does an automatic updates check when it is launched. There are updates once a week. If the application is launched without administrator rights, the software does not check. Our users do not have local administrator rights. The result is that the application gets overwhelmed and an administrator needs to log in order to to refresh.

Here are the solutions I've tried so far:

    1. I ran the application using the command runas , which works, but is not practical as an administrator will have to provide the password every time.

    2. change the compatibility of the application to 'RUN as administrator'. I have disabled UAC to make this work, but the user must always supply a password. I could create a locked user who cannot log on to any machine, etc, etc, but this seems like a stupid solution. I might as well give all admin rights.

3 to research more, I tried to use RunAsSpc (http://www.robotronic.de/runasspcEn.html). This seems to work well and did exactly what I'm looking for, but created two issues: no drives mapped and an access violation when printing that I won't have to worry about troubleshooting.

I had to give all users local administrator rights until I have a solution. Is it possible to allow the application to do its updates without granting full administrator rights to the entire system? Any recommendations?

Yes, let the program provider to build their program cleverly.  It is not going to be a solution to this.

Otherwise, you will need to just have someone who has admin rights not login once a week and install the necessary updates.  A bit like Microsoft Office Update (requires an administrator to do so).

  • Unable to gain admin rights and cannot do a restore

I've lost my admin to the standard rights. I tried to restore the computer in safe mode. I can't do anything at all because he says that I don't have the admin rights and communicate with my admin due to group policy. I was looking for things to the top and it doesn't let me do anything group policy and admin rights are gone. Also it does not let me start repair system or restore on a windows CD. This is to try to use the right windows installation cd. Any help will be appreciated. I thought to do a repair or restore I only need a windows installation cd and it does not matter what version it was.

Each installation of Windows has an active admin account at the beginning. You can't avoid it. What happened to yours?

You can easily run system restore using system repair your CD to start the machine in Repair Mode. No password is required.

When you're done, plan ahead a little and create, test and document a spare, even admin account that you have a spare House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.

WARNING: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

    Method 2:

You can even use the steps below and check-

    1. right click on the program file , click on Properties.

    2. now click on compatibility and select run the program as administrator.

    3. now click on change settings for all users and click ok. Now, check to see if the problem resolves.

Sorry, if your computer has been hacked then set through this forum is not possible. You have two options:

    • Perform a destructive factory restore.
    • Have the machine serviced by competent experts.
Everything else is unlikely to get rid of the intruder.
