Highlight an item based on the validation

Hi friends,

Is it possible to highlight (or change the background color) of an element when a specific validation fails.

For example, I added a level of verification 'equipment name' validation step is unique. I have a textfield for adding equipment name

I need to display an error message "the name of the equipment is not unique" in the notification area. I need to change the color of the label of this text field name of 'red' material (not not necessary to display the error message) and highlight the text field component. Is there a way to do this. Any input on this would be appreciated.

~ Thank you
Jyothi

Hello

You can change your label template and add some JavaScript it.

  • [ADF, JDev 12.1.3] How to hide menu items based on the logged in user

    Hallo,

    When the user logs on successfully, the applitacions led him to the main.jspx page.

    The main.jspx page has a menu bar that contains all of the available menus, submenus and menu items.

    After the connection, when the main.jspx page loads I would hide all the menus, submenus and menu items that the user is not qualified to see/use (I read the database).

    You kindly tell me which is the way the cleaner to achieve?

    Hello rohanwalia,

    Sorry, but I need more help

    I guess that the solution is to create a method in the AM who - reading form the database - returns a structure that indicates for each menu item should be visible or hidden.

    • How can I use the data returned by this method?
    • I call in a managed bean specifically dedicated to the management of the menu? Can I also use the already existing media bean, I created for the page?
    • What scope should have the bean?
    • Don't you think that it is better to define a 'visible' variable Boolean (initilized depending on the result of the AM method) for each menu item and how to bind the Visible property of each menu item to the variable respective in the bean in the bean?
    • Or I can loop the result of the method AM setting the Visible property of the menu items? In this case, I guess that all the menu items must be mapped into the bean by user interface variable. Am I wrong?
    • Is it not possible to write a method which, of the AM directly, hide the menus not necessary on the page (so without using a bean)?
    • In general, which are the correct always to hide menu items:
      • (1) before the page is sent to the browser (as "I can do it with PHP);
      • (2) once the page is loaded in the browser (as I can do it with JavaScript)?

    If you could give me some more detailed advice... I would be very happy.

    Thank you

    Federico

    (1) its best to make the treatment inside the method. You can return the parameters as normal java method.

    (2) Yes, you can use bean already exists in the project. But better to create a separate bean for this task of menu.

    (3) scope should be request unless you need to persist the attributes between requests.

    (4) Yes it is possible. You can define and initialize a Boolean variable with the results you get from the table based on the menu items should be made visible.

    (5) If you use the approach to point 4, then also you have to loop through the table menu items and set Boolean variables of bean. Yes you are right for the second part.

    (6) I'm not sure about this approach. How will you map it to your menu mode. It takes research.

    (7) before the page is loaded. I share with you links in above post with which you can do this.

    I hope this helps.

  • Disable the number of items based on the values of another page/table

    Hi people,

    I have a form with 15 fields such as:

    Form1

    id_plan = 1

    level 1 = 2

    level 2 = 2

    level 3 = null

    level 4 = null

    level 5 = null

    level 6 = null

    and so on...

    Later, in another form that I have:

    Form2

    ID

    id_plan (from 'form1')

    account: 10.01 (based on the number of decimal places defined on the level of 'form1')

    So, I need to disable page Form1 items if I had some values of Form2. But only the levels where the account is registered. In the example above, only level 3, level 4, level 5, level 6 and so on would be activated.

    Any suggestion?

    I could put a read only condition for any page in question, is it good? or there is another suggestion?

    Thank you

    bsalvador

    Hi people,

    To resolve my issue, I used the read only option. I chose the body of the PL/SQL function returning a Boolean and put

    Start

    If (CST_RETURN_LEVEL(:P7_ID_PAR_PLANO_GER) > = 2) then

    Returns true;

    end if;

    end;

    where CST_RETURN_LEVEL is a function that returns the last filled level. If the point of the page is at level 2, I test, if CST_RETURN_LEVEL(:P7_ID_PAR_PLANO_GER) > = 2 then I returned true for read only and so on for other page elements.

  • Enable and disable the item based on the Condition

    Hi Experts,

    I work in the form of 10g, I conditionally.

    I have the block master detail.

    Master block contains sub elements.

    CUSTOMER

    Address (read only) - no database element

    PRODUCT GROUP (read only) - no database article

    Note: The CUSTOMER is LOV, when I select the customers, I'm failing address and product group.

    Block detail contains sub elements.

    DATE OF START OF BLOCK

    DATE OF END OF BLOCK

    REASON

    Note: when I opened form all fields of retail blocks are enabled

    Requirement:

    1. when I created new record, at the time where I select the customer name, Bill and product group will be by default, in the block of detail - I want to activate and deactivate the block start date based on the value of the product group.

    2 if I erase block master, I need to activate the block_start_date like back when the new form is opened

    3. when I search the data also, block start date must be enabled and disabled based on the value of the product group.

    Could someone help me the best approach to achieve so that she will have no side effects.

    3 suppose that if enter new record category of products "Aviation", once I put the cursor inside, it's debilitating, let's say if I erase the main recording without saving the changes, it not again allows the Group of products, it is now status (disable) previous.

    4. in query mode, it is not disabling or enabling from a group of products.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

    Ok.

    1. put your code on this trigger after changing point that fills the default value in the product category.

    2. remove the trigger after change of product group.

    3 put the same code to trigger once - new - Record - Instance of the main block.

  • Count the number of drop-down list items based on the selection

    You will need to get an "account" (in the fields of totals at the bottom) of each of the values/items selected in the drop-down "ddClassification". My drop-down fields are labeled ' ddClassification.0, ddClassification.1... etc.

    Should a loop be involved? Been looking around for the answers but can't really find anything. The values in the drop-down list 'ddClassification' are 'Choose', 'Major', 'Minor', 'OBS', 'OFI '. If I could just get help on one of the "total" fields (for example perhaps the total large field) first then I could go from there. All THE HELP is APPRECIATED! Thank you!

    I have attached a screenshot and here is the link for the form: Dropbox - ASSESSMENT_NOTES.pdf
    Screenshot.png

    Yes, this requires a loop. Here's the Basic code structure, which you can use for the total key, for example:

    var total = 0;
    for (var i=0; i<=4; i++) {
        if (this.getField("ddClassification."+i).value==4) {
            total++;
        }
    }
    event.value = total;

    Place this code in the script to custom calculation of 'txtMajor '.

    Edit: Name of the field max adjusted from 5 to 4...

    Edit #2: Also adjusted the value of "Major" in the value of exports 4...

  • Conditionally display an item based on the page that I've branched

    Hello

    I have a report on page 6 with a link change. By clicking on this link, the user goes to page 7.
    No I don't have an article on page 7 I need to display only if the user has used the link change the page6 report and came to page 7.

    In all other scenarios, when the user arrives on page 7 the element of should not be visible.

    This is achieved by using any type of condition for the item in question?

    Thank you
    Dippy

    Fisher,

    Here's the sql code, I came up with that.

    In your page .that we say Page_7, you create a hidden item P7_previous_page to fill the page number where the user landed on the current page.

    You can set the source as a function of pl/sql return value and give the next source.

    declare
       l_url varchar2(300);
       l_pos number;
       l_page_num varchar2(4000);
    begin

      --- complete URL of referring page

      select OWA_UTIL.GET_CGI_ENV(
       'HTTP_REFERER')
         into l_url from dual;
       l_pos := instr(l_url,'f?p=');

      ---extracting the page number (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14373_01/appdev.32/e11838/concept.htm#BEIFCDGF).

        l_page_num :=  substr(l_url,
                             instr(l_url,':',l_pos,1)+1,
                             (instr(l_url,':',l_pos,2)-1) - (instr(l_url,':',l_pos,1)+1) +1
                             );
    return l_page_num;
    end;

    You could do the same thng in a single sql also, but I used the function for clarity.

    Given that the only necessary information comes from the previous page, I think is the only variable that we have access to the URL of the previous page that the env variable, and we will need to extract the page number.

    Once you get this field filled in, you can create a condition according to the value of this field for help
    "Value of ELEMENT in the Expression 1' and using the appropriate according to your needs page number."

    Hi All-

    I have 2 valves (think clamshell has and valve B in this case). When the form appears Valve A a text element should display. Appreciate your help,

    Novice,

    For your article, there is an attribute of type condition. Set it to the "value of the point in Expression 1 is NULL". 1 expression of the value = "VALVE_B" (or whatever the name of the page for valve b element).

    Hi guys
    I'm sure that questions similar to mine have been posted on the forum before, but I swear to you that I have found none that describes my situation. So I decided to open a new thread.
    Now that we have clarified that = D here's my question

    autoSubmit = 'true '.

    Of course, it does not work. When I select an option, the partial relaxation seems to work but the panelFormLayout does not appear.
    Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thank you
    H =)

    The problem is that when some components is not rendered (because of its 'lent' evaluated to 'false' attribute), it is removed from the tree of the page execution faces in memory. This way when you do the RPP this component is not in the tree of faces more, so there is no component to perform the PPR on. Simply use the 'visible' attribute in the tag rather than the attribute "loaned":

  • Highlighting the lines of State based on the results of the report

    Hello! I think it's an easy question, but I have not found an answer for her through the forums looking. Is there a way to highlight or change the colors of some dependent lines on the result set data? I'm trying to display transaction data of the customer for call center agents and highlight some rows based on the values in the results...

    Thank you very much!

    You can view a customized report (column model) model - they give you 4 places for the conditions. Here is an example:

    Column Template 1: #COLUMN_VALUE#
    Column Template 1 Expression: '#1#' like '%Total%'

    #1 # being the first column in your results. This isn't bad if you only need 4 conditions and know the placement of your fields - you just configured different look and feels in your CSS and change the class according to the criteria.

  • Show/hide menu based on the logged in user

    Hello

    12.1.3 Jdev

    I want to show/hide some menu items based on the logged in user.

    In my application, I created a menu as below. (It is created using 'Create or Update ADF Menu' file adfc_config).

    ibis_menu. XML

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>
    <menu xmlns="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad/menu">
      <itemNode id="itemNode_home" label="Home" action="goHome" focusViewId="/home"/>
      <itemNode id="itemNode_transaction" label="Transaction" action="goTransaction" focusViewId="/transaction"/>
      <itemNode id="itemNode_customer" label="Customer" action="goCustomer" focusViewId="/customer"/>
      <itemNode id="itemNode_upload" label="Upload" action="goUpload" focusViewId="/upload"/>
      <itemNode id="itemNode_profile" label="Profile" action="goProfile" focusViewId="/profile"/>
      <itemNode id="itemNode_serviceRequest" label="Service Request" action="goServiceRequest"
                focusViewId="/serviceRequest"/>
      <itemNode id="itemNode_report" label="Report" action="goReport" focusViewId="/report"/>
    </menu>

    I have a navigation pane in my Pages that use this menu as below:

    <af:navigationPane hint="bar" id="np1" value="#{ibis_menu}" var="menuInfo">
                            <f:facet name="nodeStamp">
                                <af:commandNavigationItem id="ni1" text="#{menuInfo.label}"
                                                          destination="#{menuInfo.destination}"
                                                          action="#{menuInfo.doAction}"/>
                            </f:facet>
                        </af:navigationPane>

    Now, I want to hide some items on the menu, depending on the Type of user loggedIn. I have the userType stored in the managed bean.

    How can I get this feature.

    An approach which I think is as below:

    Define a variable for each itemNode in a managedbean(session scope) and who associate with the property ' visible ' / ' rendering ' of the itemNode in the Menu xml.

    Please let me know is a good way to do it or is there another solution better?

    I noticed the following:

    When I change the column C011 (price) the following values are defined in dynamic action:

    P110_ID = f11_1

    P110_VALUE is everything that I change the price.

    When I change the column C024 (hms_flag), the following values are defined:

    P110_ID = f03_0001

    P110_VALUE = change everything what I hms_flag to.

    the region is updated in my dynamic action, and change of hms_flag does not take.  I tested the SQL query that generates the value of v_SEQ in the dynamic action.   Both a change of price and HMS_FLAG, it seems valid

    Select ltrim (substr(:p110_ID,5,4),'0 ') in the double v_seq;

    If f11_1, v_seq: = 1

    If f03_0001, v_seq: = 1

    Thank you!

    solved.  sort of.

    domain c024 references f03.

    dynamic ACtion, step 4 calculated v_member as a substring of P110_ID... and in all other areas, the column and the field (fxx) displayed the same value... otherwise c024.

    I'm not exactly sure how solve it, but see the problem.
