  Sometimes, WinMail settings get screwed up and you must remove the account and then add it back back.  Make sure first that the antivirus software not interfere (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).   Delete your account completely, then close WinMail.  Then compact and repair the database of WinMail (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  Add your account to mail back once again, and then make sure you have the correct settings under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Servers and | Advanced to what AT & T Specifies to WinMail (or OE).  Then see if it works.

  This suggestion may not work, but it's worth a try. Buy an external USB drive enclosure. They come in two sizes 2.5 "for the portable computer drives and 3.5" for desktop disks. You can purchase adapters for 3.5 "envelopes so that they can also be used with a portable player. Place the hard drive in the enclosure and connect to a USB port of another computer.   You need Acrobat application to secure your document with password. It seems that you use Acrobat Reader.

  When you select text in a PDF document, the menu appears.

  

  You can change the selection of text by dragging the blue "grabber" horizontally (left or right) and press to copy in the menu to copy the selected text.
