His behavior modified adjustment brush

This behavior has just started: when I use the adjustment brush, he's heading slightly the area brushed on any options I put so that he could apply.  I have no active mask.  The actual effects will be visible once I have turn off the brush.  Until today, the brush worked perfectly.  And the graduated filter works as it should, as well as all the other tools.  Any suggestions?

    Hi snowynorman,

Could you please share a screenshot of your adjustment brush in Lightroom?

Usually, two circles appear when you have a good pen of value.

In addition, suggest you try to change the size of the brush manually via the cursor or up and down arrow keys on your keyboard to check if you still see this type of behavior.

  • Why my adjustment brush does not disappear in the center of my photo?

I've recently upgraded from a PC to a MacBook Air and find that my adjustment brush is not working properly. Note: I have not upgraded to version 4.3 on my PC, so this may indeed be the question.

With this in mind, my adjustment brush appear on the edges of all my photos, however, if I try to use it in the middle of my picture it does not and does not work if I want my cursor down. However, if I start on the edge and then move to the Center it works. No one knows how to fix this problem, so I can use the brush where I want on photography?

    Thank you!

Could be due to a corrupted preferences file. This file can go 'funny' and is then responsible for all types of strange behavior of Lr. The repair is to replace the preferences file.

  • 4.1RC2: adjustment brush stopped working Mid Session

It's pretty weird. Brand new .lrcat, through some family photos. The first few photos, the adjustment brush worked. A few minutes into it, it stopped working, or at least ceased to be almost as important an effect. If I push the exposure of + 4, it seems that it is pushing it par.4. Even with the other sliders - they are hardly applied.

A I hit some button that lowers overall force brush or something?

Note that, in the second image, the adjustment brush is centered on his head. It is a little different than the first image, but certainly not to the extent where one would expect to their extreme cursors.

Just for a point of anecdotes, I installed QuickTime when you work in LR. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but rebooting LR and the creation of a new catalog has not remedied the problem.

    Very strange.

  • LR4 adjustment brushes... Possible bug?

If I proceed to edit a picture of Nikon NEF in LR4 using the adjustment brush (any one (s))... and then move on to further modify the image in Photoshop CS5... areas in which I applied brush strokes not wrapped in PS correctly. In fact, anywhere where there is a Brush Stroke... it seems that I went crazy with the Dodge tool.

I don't remember what is at issue in LR3.

When edit you in Photoshop, you should get the warning of compatibility for camera raw.  Don't you select "Make in Lightroom" or "open anyway?

If you check the option "don't show" on this warning, you can lock and then to use the incompatible version of camera raw.

PS - I've tried everything, and I think this might be your problem.  If you edit in CS5 and choose 'Open anyway' so adjustment brush work is lost, if you chose "Render in Lightroom" then adjustments through CS5.

If you have previously selected "Open in" checked "don't show" then try Edit menu, preferences, general tab and click "reset all warning dialog boxes.

  • Incompatible Lightroom adjustment brush with Camera Raw

I love Lightroom's adjustment brush, but I find it annoying that I can't use it to make saturation all the way in monochrome, even with the cursor of saturation completely rejected. Today, I noticed that in Camera Raw 5.4, the same is NOT true - you can remove color completely with an adjustment brush.

Surprised at this difference, I wondered what would happen when I loaded the file ACR corrected in Lightroom. And now Lightroom showed the result of the adjustment brush the same way as ACR, with all the colors removed. Excellent!

But what will happen if I changed the adjustment brush in Lightroom? He "forgets" what I had done in ACR and restore its normal behavior? No, he continued to behave as it had done in ACR. But in the same photo, a brush created in Lightroom does not have the same way. Obviously, it was something to do with what program created the brush.

Then I took a glance to my XMP file, and it became (slightly) clearly what is happening. It is one of the XMP attributes for the brush created in ACR:

    < crs:MaskValue > 1.000000 < / crs:MaskValue >

And here's the same attribute for the brush created in Lightroom:

    < crs:MaskValue > 0.375000 < / crs:MaskValue >

The next question is obvious, what happens if you replace MaskValue with 0.375000 1.000000? Answer: The brush begins to behave like a brush in ACR.

Now, it's kind of cool. I can get the behavior I want in Lightroom, by editing the XMP file by hand. On the other hand, the editing XMP files isn't really my favorite thing. Is there some settings in Lightroom that allows to reach a MaskValue 1.000000 for adjustment brushes? I couldn't find one, but well, there are a lot of settings...

In Camera Raw and Lightroom, the value of the mask is determined by the setting of cursor y density. Therefore, when there is a difference between the two, it is certainly because the cursor of the density defined differently. In your case, one is set to 100 and the other 37.5. Do both the same and the effect of the brush must be identical.

Edit: as mentioned in Jao - flow will also affect mask value

  • Lightroom CC - problems with the adjustment brush and stain

    Weird question:

End of 2012 iMac 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5, 32 GB of RAM

    Mac OSX 10.11.6

    Lightroom CC

When you attempt to change a series of photos in the develop module I have problems with Lightroom gel. More precisely if I use the spot removal or adjustment brushes after two or three images, I find myself with a progress indicator of spinning at the bottom right of the image and the screen shows part of the image strong and part of the blurred image (as when loading an image is). It seems that no amount of waiting will lead to progress. All I can do is quit Lightroom and restart. But after a few images that the same thing is happening.

If anyone else has experienced this?

    TIA.

When I click the adjustment brush icon and then move my cursor to the photo, she disappears.  He used to work sometimes, but now almost at all.

Check the size of the brush.  If the size slider is completely to the left, the brush is very small and may seem just to disappear in the noise.

  • Lightroom CC gel when you use the adjustment brush

I recently discovered the power of the adjustment brush for Dodge & burn my RAW photos. I am progressing through a photo editing however, my Mac gets slower and hangs with the beach ball. I upgraded my RAM from 8 to 16 GB and updated from a disk to a 1 TB SSD HARD 750Gig, but it always crashes when I get into an editing tool. My computer is a MacBook Pro 13 "(mi-2012), processor: 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7, memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB." In the Lightroom preferences, running, I get an error message when I click use GPU: "acceleration of the graphics processor has been disabled due to errors. Everyone knows about this problem? It drives me crazy. Surely I don't have to buy a new, more powerful Mac just to use the adjustment brush properly?

This slowdown/gel is a known problem with make a lot of adjustments and/or healing spot on a single photo.

There are a number of possible remedies

    1. Get a faster CPU (speed of the car and the amount of memory and power of the graphics card will not affect this problem)
    2. All of your brushing and/or spot as the next step in the last edition and the last step, the healing light up any correction of lens (if desired)
    3. Make the brush in Photoshop Elements or Photoshop
  • Malfunction of Lightroom adjustment brush

Lightroom 4.1.  In development mode, the adjustment brush is malfunction.   I can select the area to adjust, but when the adjustment is made, the TOTAL image adjusts to this setting... not only the selected area.   The program is not limiting the adjustment of the selectected area.   I restarted the program and the computer several times.  It still does not.   On PC.      I have to uninstall LR and reinstall... such a pain.

You are probably using GLOBAL cursors because you have the sliders THE closed.  Click on the small black triangle under the words of NEW EDIT in the upper right to open cursors THE.

  • Lightroom adjustment brush unusable / slow and erratic

I recently updated my version of Lightroom CC and when you use the (with and without overlay) Lightroom adjustment brush becomes incredibly slow or even unresponsive. Not only that, but it produces brush strokes I have never know I'll use the brush on a domain and then stop to wait and see before shots, I did fill, for what appear to be from 10 to 20 seconds on average, which in itself is quite unacceptable, and Lightroom then proceeds to do a big blow at random areas I never even flew over especially brushed in. So I'm going to clear this erroneous line randomly, the problem repeats itself in that it removes not only the error, but also a part of what I have completed only. Which was a montage of 5 minutes, senior, is now a test of long hours with mediocre results at best. So far, I tried to update the drivers, change the size of the cache, giving the Lightroom process a priority higher with so many reboots, I think my power button is about to fall. My computer has 32 GB of Ram, 5930K i7, EVGA GTX 980Ti, with m2 and Reg. SATAIII. SSDs running windows Pro 10. Many years of operation of older versions of Lightroom on an Early 2009 Mac Pro and MacBook Pro 2014 mi, I am more confident that I have enough resources in my machine to slam lightroom died several times in the course and of course when I check my task manager, I can see that lightroom scratches barely 10% on my CPU and at best he is gone up to 4.4 GB RAM date on which It was insensitive. As far as I can tell my computer does not have the heavy loads in one of its components it is nice and quiet.

Any help on this would be much appreciated: How can I get Lightroom to use more than 10% of my resources? How can I get the adjustment brush to work? Is it possible to downgrade to we'll tell LR4 or LR5? Any help to improve this mess so I can actually finish my work.

    Thank you.
