  Suddenly my Windows 7 computer has no internet.  Seems to coincide with a series of critical updates that were installed this morning.  Also, I can't do a restore for some reason any.

  I can ping my router, but not shoot to the top of its web page in a browser (IE 11, Chrome, Firefox all tried).  I can pull up other computers on the network.

  Yesterday, I moved my email account from my old computer OS ubuntu 10.04 to mint17 linux OS computer. I copied the Thunderbird * *.default c/o the profile.ini file.   Well, I took a chance that it might work... what I did was set up the MIFI, then once wireless put printer software cd in the computer laptop and is gone to the network connections on main menu tab after a few steps he allowed me to enter the wep key and magically it was printing, wireless and the Internet at the same time.
