Hold the Position of the loaded SWF layer or Mc in ActionScript3

Hi all

I would like to RUN/LOAD my SWF loaded or Movie Clips BEHIND some existing masks already designed in a scene or simply to organize their

position of visibility in ActionScript 3 while loading with CODING only

is there a command to set, something similar to "Layers", "send to back", "prominent"?

Thank you.

You can use the addChildAt() method to place things behind other things.  You can also use the setChildIndex() method.  Both are explained in the help documentation.

    I have a Workbench where my main timeline is retouching of the marked sections. In one of the marked sections I have load and SWF file using greensock SWF Loader. You can communicate with the main timeline by dispatching events from the child swf file.

    When the child Swf is loaded, dispatches an event, i.e. - dispatchEvent (new Event ("DoTimeLineCode"));

    Then on your main timeline, listen for the event and perform the desired functions:

    MovieClip (root) .addEventListener ("DoTimeLineCode", mainTimeLineFunctions);

    function mainTimeLineFunctions(e:Event):void

    {

         MovieClip(root).Applications_btn_timeLine.play();

    etc...

    }

    ChasingMovieClip(parent.parent.parent.parent) has always been a losing battle for me. It's best practice to use event dispatchers and listeners to instantiate "things" from the parent child paradigm.

  • control the loaded swf file

    Hi all

    I am loading a swf into another SWF, I want to controll loaded swf such as play and pause the swf. The loaded swf file is an animation file, all animations are kept in a movieclip, then please tell me how I can control the animation.

    In your first assignment, you tell the animation is present in a movieclip.  If this movieclip is in the loaded swf file you will probably need to target this movieclip to tell him to play rather than the SWF itself, as in...

    currentSWF.movieclipName.play ();

    where movieclipName is replaced with the name of the instance of movieclip in the loaded swf file.

  • How the get function is available or not on the loaded swf file

    I have 100 swf file in one of my projects. And there is a common feature in some of the SWFs. All these files are loadded in the file main.swf. Here's my Question, "If have the common function is the swf file that is loaded, int how to trigger this funciton of the main.swf.

    Quite simply,.

                if(movieclip.test){
                    movieclip.test();
                }

    ('movieclip' is the loaded SWF file and "test()" is the function)

  • prevent the loaded swf to loopback

    Hello world

    I am loading a swf file into a swf of controller, and thanks to the help I received on this forum, I am able to control the swf loaded with play and pause buttons.  I have another question, and this is how to prevent the loaded swf file looping.  I wish that the swf loaded to play its last picture and stop.  I have the following code and it works with an error.  I'm assuming that the error is coming because the service runs before the swf file is loaded.

    var myLoader = new Loader();
    var myURL:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("box.swf");
    myLoader.load (myURL);
    addChild (myLoader);

    pause_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, onClickPause);
    play_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, onClickPlay);

    function onClickPause(evt:MouseEvent):void {}
    MovieClip (myLoader.content) .stop ();
    }
    function onClickPlay(evt:MouseEvent):void {}
    MovieClip (myLoader.content) .play ();
    }

    the following works with a guy

    stage.addEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, stopPlay);

    function stopPlay(e:Event):void {}
    If (MovieClip (myLoader.content) .currentFrame is {MovieClip (myLoader.content) .totalFrames)}
    MovieClip (myLoader.content) .stop ();
    trace ("End");
    }
    }

    The error reads as follows:

    TypeError: Error #1009: cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
    at controller_fla::MainTimeline/stopPlay()
    TypeError: Error #1009: cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
    at controller_fla::MainTimeline/stopPlay()

    Once again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    -Dave

    Use COMPLETE earphone that kGlad offered to wait to assign the ENTER_FRAME listener.

    var myLoader = new Loader();
    var myURL:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("box.swf");
    myLoader.load (myURL);

    myLoader.contentLoadInfo (Event.COMPLETE, loadCompleteF);

    function loadCompleteF(e:Event) {}

    stage.addEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, stopPlay);

    }

    addChild (myLoader);

    pause_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, onClickPause);
    play_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, onClickPlay);

    function onClickPause(evt:MouseEvent):void {}
    MovieClip (myLoader.content) .stop ();
    }

    function onClickPlay(evt:MouseEvent):void {}
    MovieClip (myLoader.content) .play ();
    }

    function stopPlay(e:Event):void {}
    If (MovieClip (myLoader.content) .currentFrame is {MovieClip (myLoader.content) .totalFrames)}
    MovieClip (myLoader.content) .stop ();
    trace ("End");
    }
    }

    You can also use a stop(); command at the end of the timeline of the swf file that is loaded instead.

  • latest and greatest: conditional statements for referring to the loaded swf format click

    Good forum,

    I'm so close indeed with this update of the site, it's exciting! I'll be sure to throw it here for you to see, because without this forum I was wrong!

    The last big hurdle I have, is this, and I hope that someone can just throw me a bit of advice on this.

    I'm looking for a way to write a function, that the click on my button 'next' in the script, made reference to my loaded swf MovieClip (imageLoader.content) he said to go to the next image tag, so really a compound if/then situation - simply evoking the loaded file throws me.

    So, my next button is 'pNext', and what I'm looking for something in the sense of is:

    If (loaded film) is on frames 12-144, then go here (click).

    If (loaded film) is on the 144-155 frames, then submitted here (click)

    etc. etc.

    Thank you very much! Here is my code that works on one click Next, so you can see bodies etc.

    b

    pNext.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, nextClick);

    function nextClick (e:MouseEvent): void {}
    MovieClip (imageLoader.content) .gotoAndPlay ('aboutS1');
    }

    If I'm just reading your request, what you can try is to create a table of image tags in the order they appear and use the currentLabel property to determine where you are and indicate where to go...

    var labels: Array = new Array("one","two","three","four","five"...etc...);

    pNext.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, nextClick);

    function nextClick (e:MouseEvent): void {}
    var mc:MovieClip = MovieClip (imageLoader.content);
    var nextLabel:String = labels [labels.indexOf (String (mc.currentLabel)) + 1];
    mc.gotoAndPlay (nextLabel);
    }

  • Child of the loaded SWF file

    I read through many of the forum discussions and articles, but I still can not quite understand it. Here's my basic configuration: container > LoadedSWF file > MovieClip. I want to access this clip that is in the swf file loaded into the container.

    Loading code is inside a class that is directly associated with an empty MovieClip on the stage. Here are the relevant parts of the code:

    public var loadDrawing:Loader = new Loader;

    drawLoad = "E002.swf";

    loadDrawing.load (new URLRequest (drawLoad)); I loaded the drawing in loadDrawing

    That's essentially what I want, but it doesn't exactly work like this:

    jumpNumber = "j1". This is the name of the instance of the clip I want control

    loadDrawing.drawLoad.jumpNumber.x = 100;

    That way I can control this MovieClip which is in the swf file, which the magazine is. Also, I have to wait for the video to load completely before I try to access the elements contained in it, right?

    >>

    jumpNumber = "j1". This is the name of the instance of the clip I want control

    loadDrawing.drawLoad.jumpNumber.x = 100;

    If you want to use a string as you show here so you need to use the media access as follows:

    loadDrawing.drawLoad [jumpNumber] .x = 100;

    or else just like:

    loadDrawing.drawLoad.j1.x = 100;

    However, you also need to cast loadDrawing.content to a MovieClip to be able to do... If actual code would be like:

    MovieClip (loadDrawing.content) .drawLoad [jumpNumber] .x = 100;

    or else just like:

    MovieClip (loadDrawing.content).drawLoad.j1.x = 100;

  • hitTestPoint() shapeFlag does not not on movieClip containing the loaded swf

    I have a file .swf that contains a circle jpg I load from a URL, make a movieClip and add it to the stage.

    I would like to be able to detect when the user places the cursor over the circle. I wish it were accurate in a way he doesn't simply use the framework encompassing the circle, but the real circle himself in order to detect a collision. It is a fragment of my current code:

    var myCircle:MyCircle = new MyCircle (swf);

    myCircle.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, onMouseMove);

    myContainer.addChild (myCircle);

    private void onMouseMove(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    var glowFilter:GlowFilter = new GlowFilter();

    glowFilter.color = 0xffffff;

    If (event.currentTarget MyCircle) {}

    var object: MyCircle = event.currentTarget as MyCircle;

    If (object.hitTestPoint (event.stageX, event.stageY, true))

    event.currentTarget.filters = [glowFilter];

    else event.currentTarget.filters = [];

    }

    }

    I was led to believe the shapeFlag hitTestPoint() method parameter wouldn't do this, but assigning true or false doesn't make any difference. Any ideas why this could be?

    convert your png to a vector (select your png on stage, and then click Modify > bitmap > trace bitmap) and remove the background.

  • How to get the size of the loaded swf file?

    final/public class main extends Sprite
    {

    public void main()
    {
    loaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, _onLoadCompleted);
    }

    private void _onLoadCompleted(event: Event): void
    {
    var tw: int = stage.width;
    var e: int = stage.height;
    TSW var: int = stage.stageWidth;
    tsh var: int = stage.stageHeight;

    }

    }

    Above is my project simple as3 in flex builder 3.

    My screen resolution is 1920 * 1080, when debugging, the SWF is stretched to the full EI client area, but the stage.stageWidth is 500 and the stage.stageHeight is 375, stage.widht and stage.height are 0, who can tell me why and how to get the right size of the SWF, named the area size customer of EI in this situation?

    Thank you very much!

    The HTML wrapper can resize the SWF later, so wait a frame and recheck stageWidth/stageHeight.

  • loaded - swf aspect ratios what is the best approach

    I just finished a job to maintain the proportions of a swf loaded into a 'player' for banner ads. Basically, the scene of the player can be any size and everything what is responsible is centered vertically and horizontallly and theres a 'game' and stop button controls and its etc who get out judiciously.

    He got all works without problems... but I would like to check something, if someone can advise.
    When you check the properties _width and _height of a swf loaded in an onLoadInit handler... that reports obviously the actual width and height of the active Visual frame of the swf file loaded 1 (say for sure, it is where is his head of reading). Is it possible to get hold of the original width and height of stage properties that swf had when it was created? These can be quite different things and its the last pair I'm after.

    My approach has been to make it a requirement that the loaded SWF "banner" have a rectangular background clip to 0,0 on the first image (and nothing else she ecaple) representing their size and proportions, and just to get these dimensions in an onLoadInit handler.

    I just wonder am I missing something obvious - that is, is there a simpler approach - am I too complicate things - or is the easiest way that I do? I guess what would be ideal is if there is a property that represents the properties width and height stage that the swf "banner" had when it was created-, but I don't (yet) know of something like this. But I was called to Miss really obvious things before... so please tell me if I am.

    If you can understand the above explanation then my question is simple: can avoid the "calibration" context requirement in banners loaded or not? TIA - GWD

    not with as2. You can find the maximum dimensions used by active chart throughout the chronology of the loaded swf (not just those on frame 1), but if he has nothing on stage in any image on the main timeline of the swf loaded width and height will be reported as zero.

    I have about 70 sounds in my two external SWF. What I need to stop all of them?

    //---

    more than likely, Yes. I guess it depends on how you have 70 put sounds up in your external swf file... I mean:

    you have 70 movieclips appointed on the external swf stage with a distinct sound in each of them? and each have a stop() action in the first picture?

    or

    you say your external swf to go to a certain image tag that plays a sound on the timeline to this label?

    or

    are your 70 sounds created dynamically with code and told. start()?

    //---

    Keep in mind, a swf loading will start to play even before it is fully charged. So instead of when it is fully charged, try stop the loaded swf with a listener for 'init', i.e. when the swf file loaded passes its first image:

    function loadNextF (): void {}

    TL ["loader_" + index] = new Loader();

    TL ["loader_" + index] .name = index.toString ();

    . contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener TL ["loader_" + index] (ProgressEvent. COURSES, progressF);

    TL ["loader_" + index].contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, completeF);

    TL ["loader_" + index].contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.INIT, initF);

    TL ["loader_" + index] .load (new URLRequest (swfA [index]));

    }

    function initF(e:Event):void {}

    SoundMixer.stopAll ();

    var mc:MovieClip = MovieClip (tl ["loader_" + index] content);

    mc.gotoAndStop (1);

    }

  • How the unloading/loading swf

    I have a Flash animation which automatically opens another Flash animation inside. The main SWF has a button 'Start' at the bottom. When I click on the Start button, I want to load a new Flash video file, swf and unload the loaded SWF automatically (as a placeholder). I do this to create a placeholder for the video. I don't know what code I should use the button to unload the auto swf and load the new swf video.

    You are welcome.

    p.s. Please check the useful/correct, if there is.

  • Unloading of an external SWF that is loaded with a close button on the external SWF to unload

    I found a discussion on this topic, but I still have problems to work and was hoping to get some help here.

    Here, I have a file: http://www.dril-quip.com/test/main.swf

    I: main.swf (menu) and I module.swf (content)

    If you go to the wellhead systems/SS-15 BigBore II submarine and click on I have to load an external swf which covers most of the parent company.

    So far so good. My problem drains the loaded swf to 'Child' with the button provided on the loaded swf to 'Child'.

    Here is the code that I used to upload the file but I can't, for the life of me, find a way to unload.

    var bigboreLoader:Loader = new Loader();
    btnbb2.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, bigborecontent);

    function bigborecontent(event:MouseEvent):void {}
    var bigboreRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("moduletemplate.swf");

    bigboreLoader.load (bigboreRequest);
    stage.addChild (bigboreLoader);

    I am sure that it requires the child to communicate with the parent somehow, but I'm at a loss. If I could get a bit of advice or a link to something to deal with this, it would be a great help. I just need to have my links loading my modules and remove it when the narrow buttong is struck on the loaded swf file. I promise you that I did some research and I confess that I found asnwers, but still they do not work. I found the code below:

    Main FLA:

    function removeF() {}

    removeChild (bigboreLoader);

    }

    var bigboreLoader:Loader = new Loader();
    btnbb2.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, bigborecontent);

    function bigborecontent(event:MouseEvent):void {}
    var bigboreRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("moduletemplate.swf");

    bigboreLoader.load (bigboreRequest);
    stage.addChild (bigboreLoader);

    EXTERNAL FLA:

    btnClose2.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, bigborecontent);

    function bigborecontent(myevent:MouseEvent):void {}

    MovieClip (parent.parent) .removeF ();

    }

    I think I have a poor understanding of the code. Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.

    again, this code should all be on the same timeline as btnbb2. in main.fla.

    var bigboreLoader:Loader = new Loader();
    btnbb2.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, bigborecontent);

    function bigborecontent(event:MouseEvent):void {}
    var bigboreRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("moduletemplate.swf");
    bigboreLoader.load (bigboreRequest);
    addChild (bigboreLoader);

    }

    function removeF() {}

    removeChild (bigboreLoader);

    }

    /////////////////////// end main.fla code ///////////////////////////////////////

    This code should all be on the main timeline in FLA EXTERNAL.

    and btnClose2 should be placed on the main timeline in your external fla. //

    btnClose2.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, bigborecontent);

    function bigborecontent(myevent:MouseEvent):void {}

    MovieClip (parent.parent) .removeF ();

    }

    end external fla code.

  • How can I get the width of a loaded swf scene?

    Is it possible to get the real of a loaded swf stageWidth?

    The problem comes when the loaded swf file has some items off the stage. In this case content.width becomes bigger then the scene.

    My code looks like this:

    var request: URLRequest = new URLRequest (file.url);

    var loader: Loader = new Loader();

    Loader.Load (request);

    loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.INIT, CaseTailleAuto);

    loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, addImg);

    private void checkSize(e:Event) {}

    That's where I need to see the width of my loaded swf

    trace (e.Target.Content.Width);

    }

    private void addImg(e:Event) {}

    trace ("complete");

    }

    Thank you

    I don't think you can get the width of the stage of the loaded file, unless you assign it as a constant somewhere in the file.  The loaded file loses its stage when it is loaded into another swf

    private void completato(event:Event):void

    {

    _fla. AddChild (Loader);

    Loader.y = 10;

    Val = "Hello".

    }

    }

    }

    and the class of the loaded swf document is Main2. in my_swf.fla, there is a text, that his name is:

    a_txt.

    I so use class in Main2 for loading text property.

    Code of Main.as is

    package

    {

    import flash.display.MovieClip;

    import flash.text. *;

    Main2/public class extends MovieClip

    {

    public void Main2()

    {

    a_txt.text = val;

    }

    }

    }

    where val is the property of class loading.

    so, how do I access.

    You have a reference to your movie loaded into your class loader - instead of simply set val to string - add a method in your class Main2 - and call it loading - passing the string which him. Push not pull...

    Hand 2 becomes:

    public void Main2() {}
    a_txt. Text = Val;

    }

    public void setText(val:String):void {}
    a_txt. Text = val;

    }

    And then in your class loader - when you have finished loading only call setText:

    private void completato(e:Event):void

    {
    addChild (loader);
    Loader.y = 10;
    MovieClip (loader.content) .setText ("hello");
    Val = "Hello";
    }
