  I was happy to see in 5.5 update 1 release notes that it should be possible to switch the serial number of the host through a virtual machine hardware.

  If you want a prompt of OS X to use the serial number of the host, you will need to add this option to the virtual machine configuration:

  serialNumber.reflectHost = 'TRUE '.

  or, if you want a prompt of OS X to use the model of host hardware ID (learn "MacPro5, 1"), ID (i.e. "Mac-12345678" ") and the serial number all all aboard:

  smbios.reflectHost = 'TRUE '.

  will take care of all three.  Note that there is no way to understand or control what happens if you have multiple virtual machines with the same serial number and using this external serial number as an identifier.

  Let us know if you have problems with these options!  I'm not sure whether they will solve the problem you face, but... For example, there are more problems iMessage running in a virtual machine...

  Hi all

  Has anyone written anything to enter the serial number of host machine and store it in the database of VC? We want to hang the VC on our Asset Mgmt tool but requires the serial number of the machine. This should be fairly simple because it is quite easy to call commands sysytem on the box itself.

  If you are referring to the number of hardware inventory, yes it is removable and should be set. Take a peek at HostHardwareSummary http://www.vmware.com/support/developer/vc-sdk/visdk25pubs/ReferenceGuide/vim.host.Summary.HardwareSummary.html you also be able to extract more details about material and depending on the provider, the information may vary in the table [otherIdentifyingInfo] , I know about HP on the bl460c hardware, only the inventory number is available, but again the data available may vary depending on the seller and a few tests will tell you what you can extract.

• How to read the host name or serial number cRIO locally

  I have not worked with cRIO and decided to ask for help.  (o).

  I don't know about the screws that allow to access this information from a connected Windows machine, however, I want to retrieve and display this information on remote panels.  But I cannot determine how to read the cRIO hostname or the serial number of the software running on the cRIO?

  In general the replacements are not new.  They can be given to nine units, which are like new, maybe better.

  Apple has no obligation to provide a new iPhone in replacement under warranty or out of warranty replacement.

  We will need more information to help you. What do you mean that your SIM card is not supported? You try to use another carrier card while you were initially? Your phone is unlocked to use a new SIM card? What is the error message you get, if any?

  Many things should be at PI, but aren't. This is one of the reasons why there is no compelling market share, even in stores all-Cisco.

  He made a few near things very well everything is strangely unable to do other seemingly simple things that are looking for the many shops of their network management tool.

  That said, you can get the details of the inventory of the REST API, although I don't have scripting skills to analyze it automagically.

  And who will list on all individual devices in your inventory of PI. In every detail of the device page will be a whole host of information, including the serial numbers of the devices (even including all members in the stacks of the switch).

  You can also run a report through "reports > report boat launch > device > detailed Hardware > new detailed material" and get a list of all of your devices, including serial numbers.

  I recently bought a new version of Adobe Acrobat Pro XI.  The software has been installed successfully.  A dialog box appears indicating that I had 30 days to validate the serial number.  I clicked on the button OK to post on the Internet (I have access to the Internet on this PC) and received a message that my computer was offline and that I had to try again online.  I turned off my Windows Firewall and retried to validate with no luck.  I have not yet installed the anti-virus software so that may not be blocking it.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled Adobe and now I have 0 days to validate the serial number.  Always receives the same message as before - I am offline.  Please tell us how to solve this problem.  I check that I can communicate with Adobe servers.
