HostService in IC Agent availability

I tried to look at the availability of the service windows on a specific host.  However, the only data that resembles collect are "Running" or "Does not work" or a variant of start or stop... However these results of text cannot be mapped on a timeline to see how long the service is down or provide such data on a report.  I tried to create a derived metric that in turn the 'Running' at 100% and any other value would be 0% but I'm not a programmer so my knowledge is limited in this region...

That's what I was playing with, but I get an error when I try to use it

TrueAvail = 0

If (HostServiceState value.name = 'Running')

Returns the value 100

on the other

return TrueAvail

Can someone help with the derived metric?  or does anyone have any better ideas on how to get windows service availability?

You can go there. This cartride will create derived parameters svcAvailability and svcBaselineAvailability

During the creation of the cartridge I fond syntax error in the code above. I've updated that (in the .car & respoonse above)

When you create a Time-Driven metric (or a rule), it is almost always activate "Enable Trigger without Data" too.

I did it for metric svcAvailability

    Hi Hari,

'management' of services agents on ESXi are under /etc/init.d that they are installed with the host software:

pass, ntpd, sfcbd, slpd, wsman, vobd

The agents that comes exclusively from vCenter Server are:

    vCenter agent:

"vpxa" - the software that collects, communicates and executes the actions received from vCenter Server. The Server vCenter agent is installed the first time that any host is added to the inventory of vCenter Server

  • UCCE 8.5.4 - Whisper works not when agents are available

    Hello

I configured the murmur to play for a group of skills, and it works only if the call is on hold, and no agent is available. When an agent becomes available, the whisper plays. However, if there are agents available at the time the call is sent to the queue to the node of the skill, the murmur does not play. If anyone has experienced this?

    Thank you

  • Install the new FDMEE 11.1.2.4 - ODI Agent does not start

After the installation and configuration of EMP 11.1.2.4, components (including the FDMEE) on a Windows 2008 (single-server installation), I ran diagnosis of EPM system and found the only test that failed was to the Agent of ODI.

ODI Agent availability check: http://server1:6550 / oraclediagent

Error: com.hyperion.cis.utils.BadResponseCodeException: bad response with the GET method code: 404

Recommended action: check the application of the FDM Enterprise Edition is started and the database schemas exist.

FDMEE and all the other components of the EMP seem to work and open in the workspace.  The only problem is that ODI Agent will not start.  Re-installation and configuration of FDMEE has not fixed this problem.  I also tried to start manually in the WebLogic administration server, but it has not started and I found the following error in ErpIntegrator0.log.

During my research of these errors, I found results indicating the problem could be related to multiple NIC cards or enforceable, but I don't know if this is the reason of my problem and how to check it.  Any help would be appreciated!

In your case, it seems that the list of the WKA is formed using the IP 127.0.0.1 loopback address but consistency has bound to the IP address of 10 points. Finally, make sure that they match so that ODI Agent can start, but given that it's a DHCP box you well then that tends to add another layer of complication.

What we tend to do in support with DHCP boxes to avoid problems with name resolution is to simulate a static IP address by adding a loopback adapter (google, you can add a loopback adapter Server 2008 for instructions) with a static IP address (I often use smth like setting IPv4 10.10.10.10 (, netmask 255.255.255.0 & no gateway) then add an entry to the hosts file to map the IP address for the host name of the host name for example, 10.10.10.10

You must make sure that the host name resolution works as expected in Java according to this link as well (which I think is why we go to the "loopback hack" first place in support): https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40248_01/epm.1112/epm_install/frameset.htm?ch06s02s01.html

I would start by looping config tbh as I remember seeing someone with a box of AWS, earlier when helping a colleague where host name resolution was not working with that tool and they had problems with the Agent of ODI.

  • ACS SE - domains Windows AD

Can I use groups of network devices ACS to have one device acting as authenticator ACS two Windows domains to 802. 1 x for a single switch?

Hope the question makes sense but to put it a little more meat on the issue:

I have a single ACS device that I try to use for authentication of 802. 1 x on a switch. The problem is that I want to have the part of allocation of VLAN implementation allocated through the ACS server on the control dependant users with an account domain, but we have two domains without trust between them. the remote agent in ACS to should not be installed on servers in different domains and that two agents available are for resiliance only, so does not fit this unfortunatley.

That's why I finished watching with several groups of devices.

someone at - it ideas if this will work or if there is another way to make this work.

    Hello

ACS cannot authenticate 'natively' in 2 different domains that do not have a defined relationship. If this is not possible, then you must make 2 ACS servers, one in each area. Configure the ACS 'primary' to the 'secondary' server proxy queries based on the provided field.

This would require a second server ACS be set upwards (you will probably pay an additional fee for the second ACS server). You do not want to configure a proxy distribution table. This would require the user explicitly indicate the domain name with their user name.

    Kind regards

  • EIM/WIM: Display opening hours

    Hello

We have installed just EIM/WIM and you try to check a situation where there is no agent available to meet the demand of the plant for a cat. When a customer clicks on the Chat button in a Web browser, he or she gets the following message appears:

Thank you for your inquiry. Our opening hours are from 09:00 - 5 pm PST, Monday to Friday. If you are putting in the hours of service and always to get this message, please try after some time, as all our agents may be busy or not available at this time.

Then we created a calendar with hours open from 01:00 to 23:00, but new customers receive the same message, that is the part of this message indicating the opening hours does not correspond the opening hours of the calendar. We restarted the EIM/WIM server but again no luck.

What is the cause of it? How can we get around this problem?

    Thank you.

    Igor

    Igor,

It is a static message (not a message of macro based) is why it continues to display the same message

This can be changed in the model of cat (Department > Department > cat > models) in the Options-> tab off hours see you the EIM/WIM Administration Console User Guide (page 177-181). I think it should be the same for the v4.2 (x) and the v4.3 (1).

    Thank you!

  • Cannot add a device Cisco IOS - development issue?

I try to add a router IOS (as a platform) my Hyperic (3.2.1) resources and I kept getting this error (see the following stack trace).

    =============================================================
    java.lang.NullPointerException at
    org.hyperic.hq.ui.action.resource.platform.inventory.NewPlatformAction.execute(NewPlatformAction.java:108) to

    =============================================================

So, I downloaded the src and it built with the following parameters of the construction.
Windows Server 2003 SP2 (Standard edition)
    Java 1.5 update 15, Ant 1.7.0 JBoss 4.0.3SP1, PostgreSQL

However, I still get the same error. After adding a few log statements, I realized that in NewPlatformAction.java ("run" method), the value of the agent is zero [agent is created by calling BizAppUtils.getAgentConnection (...)] which causes the NullPointerException in the above stack trace [boss.createPlatform (...,...,..., agent.getId ())].

BizAppUtils.getAgentConnection () is essentially a block of code to check if the "IP Port string' is null or not and this string always seems to be the null value. I put some instructions to log in NewPlatformAction.java and BizAppUtils.java and have cut-and - paste a few lines of the log server below.

Basically, BizAppUtils jump the complete code block that is supposed to create an Agent.

I have attached a screenshot ' create new platform "UI of Hyperic and my modified source files.

I would really like to know if I'm doing something wrong or is this a valid bug in Hyperic?

I just want to add this IOS device to Hyperic to familiarize myself with how Hyperic manages network devices. My long-term goal is to add network devices in Hyperic via an API - so pointers (or the samples/docs) to an API which allows to add devices to Hyperic is also really useful.

    Hi Michelle,

I was able to reproduce using a fresh installation with no agent installed.  At least one officer has, on the same machine that the HQ server is fine.  We should apply rather than just displaying this message:
"There is no agent available to treat this platform."

Can you install + import agent and try again?

  • Control DB notification rules

    Hello
in 10g R2, OEM Db control, in preferences, in the notification rules there are four choices:

    Agent availability.
    Database availability
    Host Availability
    Listener availability
Why are these choices exclusive? We can choose only on them. Why we cannot be informed of the availability of the agent and availability of database at the same time? I couldn't see if it is included in another.

    Thanks for your explanation.

    Write several rules.

  • with selector Agent Dashboard App availability report

    Hello

on 5.6.4 I try to create an availability report of the App with Agent dashboard selector.

But what creation I'm lost by choosing the right element in Add a report View.

I have tested many of them, but never could generate the same graph.

The image of App availability with selector Agent Dashboard is attached as a file.

    Thanks for help.

I'm not a fan of this point of view and think it would make a bad report because it only shows the current values.

But if you really want to be able to abandon this view in a report, you can do this by adding "Reportlet" for the purpose of notice "Operation/AppMonitor/App availability with selector Agent systems" in the definition of WCF configured Editor.
