The modem uses a virtual com port. It s not a real port.
I wonder why it usually happens after the installation of the new operating system, you must install drivers Toshiba together in the right order
Installing the chipset utility is importantThe modem driver should do the work and you n t need to activate com ports
Please choose the right side of the page of the Toshiba driver modem driver after installing the OS correctly. I think that's the key -
I installed an Epson Stylus SX215. I can print, scan and copy if I use another way, but if I want to use the event handler it says that it cannot find the scanner driver may not use the event handler at all (cannot yet open the program).
In addition, the scan option "attached to electronic mail" does nothing either. Don't know if this is because the event handler program or because he can not see e-mail programs I have.Hi bdelrio,
Thanks for posting. Try running a System File Checker to find errors.
Click Start.
In the search box type cmd
In the menu start right click on cmd.exe and select Run - As-Administrator.
In the command prompt, type "sfc/scannow".
Allow this to fill and run. Please let us know if this corrects and error, or if it reports errors, it cannot fix.Thank you! Shawn - Support Engineer - MCP, MCDST

Cannot find the .inf to install HP 5600 print server port
I try to add a server port to print to my printer HP 5600 on Win 7.
Go to "Properties of the print server" select port and get message 'new port type' print server ' food printer inf to install the port monitor intilation information. »
Cannot find the INFs on any CD progrm supplied with the printer.
How can I add a 'print server port' to the printer if my USB Linksys printserver. This print server works fine on my other computers on my home network.
Finally found how to manage the Linksys. You must set up a TCP/IP port not a port of the print server.

I'm testing the integrity of the addon ".cab" packages and patches by installing using the Package Manager (pkgmgr.exe), or alternatively, the Deployment Image Servicing and Management Tool (DISM.exe) for Windows 7. To do this, I am aware that I have to call a tool through the command line.
In the Package Manager, I use the syntax
Command prompt > pkgmgr.exe /ip /m:C:\Test\test.cab
Otherwise, I might add the path in quotes:
"Command prompt > pkgmgr.exe /ip /m:"C:\Test\test.cab.
The error returned in pkgmgr is:
Operation failed with 0 x 80070002. The system cannot find the specified file.
My first impression was that my syntax is incorrect, although I can't have room for error. The path points to "test.cab" which is a renamed windows addon that contains the necessary file "svcpack" and the file "entries_XX.ini". I used several different ".cab" file, that which some I know to be genuine, hopefully exclude the possibility of a corrupted or incompatible file. I also tried this procedure on different computers and received the same error code, so I doubt that the tool pkgmgr istelf is corrupt.
Finally, I tried an alternative Windows 7/8 DISM tool to try to achieve essentially the same task by using the following syntax in a command prompt:
"Commnand prompt > DISM.exe / Online /PackagePath:"C:\Test\test.cab Add-Package ".
This produces a similar error:
An error occurred trying to open it - C:\Test\test.cab error: 0 x 80070002
Error: 2
The system cannot find the specified file.
The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.logI'm really not sure why I produce these errors. Any idea is appreciated.

Original title: laptop won't read the music files stored on external hard drive
I have an old Compaq laptop Windows XP, so it was out of memory I transferred everything on a Portable Seagate (500 GB) hard drive and started to access it. It's worked well for over a year, but lately, began to stop playing my music files. Absolutely everything on the hard drive opens, however, images, files and folders, but when I go into Windows Media Player, it pops up with this error message:
Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you try to read, burn or sync an item that is in your library, the element can point to a file that has been moved, renamed, or deleted.I have not modified parameters or anything that moved. I used to be just able to restart the laptop, or disconnect and reconnect the hard drive and it works again, but now it or not will be not at all, or it will cut off half way through a song and then not to play anything more.I can't find any support for this problem because the phone reads that the hard drive is there, and everything else works. Only the music doesn't. I tried to play music on a connected USB and it works fine. I'm so confused!Hi lkm0293,Here are some articles that you might find useful: -
